repeated error occurs (for random users)while navigating in APP10 IEE  A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time,or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond 10.100.1.250:48080

Currently our Purchase Price variance for all stock item is getting posted to one GL Account, but we would like to spilt/capture PPV for consumable items that are stock item, these can be identified by commodity group.I would like to change the posting control/type so that the PPV for consumable will get posted to new PPV account.How do achieve this, and what control type do I need to use link this PPV (with commodity group) to diff PPV for posting type M19/M20. Please see screen print for current set up, how do I change it from fixed value  Thanking you in advance. ThanksSwati

Hi, it seems APB (Advanced Planning Board)has quite a few limitations, particularly around handling work centers with multiple resources. For example, scheduling a workcenter with 8 resources, how do you get the system to divide up the work and time it will take (perhaps 1/8 the time as a single resource)? Workarounds that have been floated include manually splitting up order lines as they come in (not scaleable) and fudging the efficiency factor to say, 800% in this example, also not great. Any other ideas that people have tried? If APB is not capable, have others used any third party scheduling software? Any recommendations?Thanks

As part of our upgrade to v15, I’ve been asked to add titles to a select set of modules (Service Order, Customer Contracts, Installed Item), so we get a setup that is close to 12.5. But I get some weird behaviour in v15. Is there a limit to the number of data fields that can be added to to tiltles? Here my work in progress:A lot of this info is very handy to have when switching between tabs, modules, and even different systems:  

When I search for projects by Status, there is an option for Closed.  However, I  can’t see how to Close a project.  I can mark it complete, but I see no way to close it.  How can I close a project?We are in IFS 10

We are in the process of developing a solution for our QA inspection in IFS and our consultant recommends MRB instead of Control Plan. I am hoping someone can help me understand when should MRB be used in place of Control Plan.   Thanks

Hi Experts,This is quite a trivial question. I have the requirement of setting the promised_dt in part_need to nul when a new record is created. This is how it’s defined in FSM Metadata So currently it’s defaulting to the current date.This is how it looks in Custom Metadata I tried the following approaches,adding a default relationship to a null field of another table adding a value business rule to set it to null None the approaches worked. Still the default value set in FSM metadata takes precedence and sets the current date.​​​​​​​Any help would be greatly appreciated.​​​​​​​

What is the functionality of the Supplier tax - transaction level check box in Company/Tax control tab?Help text and the F1 documentation say,“ If this check box is selected and if the purchase part, purchase charge type or the no-part order line is taxable, it is required to enter tax on purchase transactions (e.g., purchase order part line, charge line, no-part order line).  Also it is required to enter tax on supplier invoices (e.g., manual supplier invoices, preliminary supplier invoices, external supplier invoices)”.“Transaction level, validate the tax code on each transaction row.”Is it validated in the PO line level and in the supplier invoice? Does that mean the application does not allow to enter a PO line in a PO without a tax code in the line? 

Hi again, sorry to be annoying here, badly need help see below, I’m stuck here at the purchase request lines, i created the RFQ with all the different reqs and now i want to send this out to a number of suppliers, what do i need to do?when i get the quotes back and either give all to one supplier or spit the order between 2 or 3 suppliers, where do i enter the prices and convert this to the purchase order/s.thanks in advance for the help.this is on TEST env.I got as far as the RFQ,now I want to send this out to potential suppliers, I don’t see a print optionhow do I get it from here to the purchase order? and sorry if this sounds stupid. thanksLike  

Dear Experts As I need to use Configuration Part for do rental but system not allow to do like that. So I use dummy part instead by issue Configuration Part and receive dummy part with same cost as Configuration Part and change it to be Company Rental Asset for doing rental. However, if someone has better solution please share me.

Event​​ Hi, I am trying to add an info message box for the Customer Order page. But, something prevents the info message box. Error_Sys.Generate_Record is working but Client_Sys.Add_Info does not work. The action will start when an order new state is equal Released. Does anyone know the problem?

Hey all,I just implemented a pseudo-Custom Menu system for Quick Report output over here:  Now I would like to deploy the Output Channel I created to all users who want to take advantage of this new functionality. I cannot find anything in the help about how Output Channels are controlled with regard to deployment: permissions, profiles, etc.Is there some way to make an Output Channel be available for multiple users without having to configure it for each user individually? Even if it requires some API method calls behind the scenes, I would be interested in automating this process.Any ideas? Thanks,Joe Kaufman

My finance colleagues are having issues running GL Voucher Row Analysis despite having entered search criteria that would keep the output to a minimum.This is specific to the voucher type ‘MPL’ and we know the likely cause is the volume of data contained in the table for this voucher type.We currently have our DBA’s investigating performance but in the mean time I have come across the following closed post: Within this post, there is suggestion of an archiving process for GL Voucher Rows. I have very limited knowledge of the financial areas of IFS (but learning quickly), I wonder if anyone can advise WHERE and HOW this archiving might be run (if within the application)?We are running Apps8 SP1.Many thanks in advance!!

I’m trying to move some custom RMB’s to Aurena from IEE.  I have a Projection Configuration setup with a Custom Action that fires a custom API call.  I’m trying to create a command using the page designer to utilize the action.  But, it doesn’t show in the list.  I’m trying to do this on the Business Opportunity page in Aurena.  I refreshed the cache in IEE and did the Aurena refresh.  Any idea what I’m doing wrong?

Hey all,Pretty sure this is not possible, but is there any way in APPS10 IEE to attach a Custom Menu to a RMB click in Quick Report output? We have a request to run an external program for a line of output in a specific Quick Report, but as far as I can tell, Quick Report output is transient and not linked to any LU. Is there some sort of clever way to implement this I am not seeing?Thanks!Joe Kaufman
