Problem:  An IFS Apps 9 customer wishes to block its users from sending Operational Reports via the Send E-Mail feature of the Order Report screen (after the report has been rendered by IFS)Recreated in Core:  yesRecreated in Customer Environments:  yesBusiness Impact:  Customer wants to change their internal procedures to prevent their users from sending Operational Reports to outside destinations via the Send E-Mail To… feature of Order Reports.  They want to know whether or not Send E-Mail To… can be blocked / disabled.Importance:  moderate importance.  This customer relies on the emailing of some reports for invoicing their customers.  But this emailing must be done as needed or else invoicing / billing would be done incorrectly.Case ID:  G2296461Request From R&D:  Can the “Send E-Mail to...” functionality be disabled for Order Report?

Is it possible to restrict a number custom field to not accept negative numbers?

So the key user has prepared a new element and it is of the list form. The data is represented very nicely and every one happy. Now there are more than one pages to show. I know we have the page option in the lower right corner.  Question from key user is: is it possible to export the results in the list to Excel (csv or some other format). My initial thought is no, but I like to be proven wrong. PS. My suggestion to the customer was to prepare a quick report (answer: but then I'm missing the results in the lobby).

We need to add a command to an Aurena screen to execute custom logic. As per the documentation, we can add actions to a projection from methods deployed in the database.  But is there a way to do a pure configuration without touching the database for a customized logic similar to the functionality with custom RMB's PL/SQL block in IEE?I am looking for a solution for an instance running on IFSAPP10/UPD13.

Hello Guys   Wondering if anyone has used Email Attachment functionality within Event Action (on Apps8/9)? After opening the Attachment dialog box, the very first option- Attach Files (as shown in below fig.) is the one I am trying to figure out. Second option- Create and include file works absolutely fine.   Looking at Apps 9 Tech document, it states: “Email Attachments For email event actions you can add one or more files as attachments. Click on the button next to the Attached Files field to open a dialog where you can type the full path to the files that should be included.”   But, once i provide below path (as highlighted in yellow), custom event stops firing email so wondering if there is any particular path format which i need to follow here.   Thanks in advance.   Best, Dinesh  

 The field on Customer Order Lines 'Release for Material Planning' where if unchecked, item is not considered by MRP. Is it possible to automatically check/uncheck this 'Release for material Planning' depending on the Customer Order Header status?Checkbox OFF all lines if customer order header is blocked or planned?Checkbox ON all lines if customer order header is any other status? 

A shop order has been created with following material lines. However, in shop order materials tab, line 1 is not rounded off whereas line 2 is rounded off Columns with the issue (3): Qty required, Qty Remaining, Qty Remaining to Issue      Is there any setting to adjust the number of decimal points to be displayed from application side? 

We are using V14.5The summary page for a Service Order on Mobile optionally can include Travel Expenses (MOE-10292) and then will show the duration, which we want to see but also the cost value, which we do not want to show.It is not possible to modify what is shown in Mobile Customizer as this whole section is just one select, so is there any way we can show the travel expense Durations but without showing the monetary values?I know I could probably set travel to zero in SA Types, so this would show as zero but we do want to measure this cost, so that’s not a good option.  We just don’t want to show these costs to the customer on the summary page.Thanks

I am trying to trigger a script when a the end date is changed on the contracts screen. I tested the script itself and it works fine, but I cant get it to trigger when I want it to. The field I need to update is a custom field called Months Remaining and is linked to contracts.user_def5. I linked the script to End Date. Here is the client script:var contractID = getControlValue('contract', 'contract_id');var contractLength = getDBValue('1', contractID);setControlValue('contract', 'user_def5', contractLength);alert("done"); And the sql script it calls:SELECT DATEDIFF(M,GETDATE(),CONTRACT.END_DT) FROM CONTRACT WHERE CONTRACT_ID = '{0}'Are there other ways of triggering this?

HiI am trying to use the Stock Min Max function in FSM to automatically set the Min Max levels based on usage.When setting one months usage on one part line as a test, the part usage returned does not match the part transaction usage therefore giving incorrect results.Criteria used is a follows:  The Min / Max usage is returned as 656 units:Yet the Part transactions for one month only totals 61 which is what i would expect.  Can someone please explain why this is as it makes no sense. Is it a bug?

Hi, Does the IFS REST connector work with ifs cloud 21R2? I tried to connect but gives me an error when authenticating using OAuth 2.0. Basic Authentication is not enabled with ifs cloud. The error I’m getting, Connection,Are there any additional configuration needs to do? I have successfully added OAuth configuration and token generation was also successful. If you get back to me with the solution it will be a big help. ThanksRoshanga

Good Morning,Can anyone advise if there is a way to close off Child Work Orders as a batch as opposed to closing off individually?At present we access each Child Work Order attached to the Parent Work Order - Authorize all posting lines then transfer to the Customer Order, set to Not Invoiceable. Is there a more time saving method which can be used? The business case is the following:The technician wants to return a serialized part (old part: Parts No is known in the server, Serial No is unknown in the server) in the mWO. The part was never available on his assigned stock (warehouse) and the serial number is unknown by IFS.Situation in mWO:If I open the dropdown of field Part No, I only get a restricted list of parts. In field Serial No it is not possible to add SN which is unknown as a Part Serial. The mentioned functionality is available in IEE.Does anybody has an idea how to handle this in mWo: select all inventory parts and enter a Serial Number which is unknown by IFS, same functionality as in IEE or AurenaThanks in advance

Hi community,Product: App9 - UPD16 A customer has 24/7 service globally and they are scheduled to run Refresh All Inventory Parts twice a day. It’s running for 2+ hours sometimes (not identified the situation). Usually it runs within 10mins for them. Since they have many mobile users connecting to the system during the same time period, and since the job locks all these user sessions, the system run out of the connection pool and goes down for all users. Question:Can this job “Refresh All Inventory Parts” scheduled to be run based on site? So that they can schedule few jobs where each job runs in off-peak time for each site. Appreciate any inputs.

Hi all.Could someone know if it’s possible to a maintenance plan of the “children” objects based on codition of the main object in structure?E.g.: I have a pump that works by hours.But bellow the pump, there are a couple of components that each one has a pm action.I need to generate work orders based onde the hours measured registered in the pump, and not in the components.if it’s not possible, I’ll need to set the parameter hour for all components and replicate the hours measured in the pump for all of them to have a maintenance plan.tks a lot
