We are creating new absence types based on working days instead of calendar days . Wanted to know if there is a setup where we can define weekends and public holidays. so that while registering the absence for an employee it should be consider and not deduct those public holidays or Weekends defined in the calendar.

Email Notification for WO Generation

I am looking to have an email with all of the work order/task information sent to vendors/contractors when their work order generates in the calendar. Is there a way to do this in App 10 in the IFS Production Environment?I have not been formally trained on IFS so if I could get a solution in as much detail as possible that would be much appreciated!Thank you!

Move Items Reserved to Customer Orders

I would like to peg make-to-order line items on customer orders to the supplying shop orders. When the shop order is closed and the item is reserved to the customer order line, though, the item cannot be moved in the warehouse. I understand the argument that if a made-to-order item is ready and reserved, the next logical step is to create a pick list. For various reasons, however, we do need to move these items.Is it really not possible to move a reserved item? Or are we missing something?Using IFS app 9, update 10.

Hi, On a service order, in attachments, we could fulfill a classification 1 and 2.Is it possible to prevent a user to add a new classification (not already stored in the database) ?Could we use security + profil or other settings to avoid that a user create a new one ?Is it possible to disable the classification for attachments ?Thanks and Regardsanthony

HiI would like to fulfill a “CERFA form” (an standard in france for HVAC sector) with mobile edge. (see on attachment). I want to have an electronic fulfillment of this form. Do you know a way to do that with mobile edge ?Do you know if it’s possible to use a application like “Pronto Form” with mobile edge ? Can a CF be both referenced and persistent

Hello, We’re creating a custom page with a CF’s. With one attribute, we ideally would like to use implementation type ‘select’ from a read only field type, but also have the ability to use this as a persistent field type (so we can over type if necessary) Any ideas whether this is possible, or any suggestions to workaround? Business Mail Functionality

Hello All, We are running client IFS version 9.0.52.0 and server version 6.90.19.0 I am looking to see if we can utilize the functionality of Business Mail. However, I have some questions. Is there a document that explains how the Business Mail works? How can I connect the Business Mail to the Business Opportunity? Is there an email app that I need to load in my Outlook to be able to connect to IFS? Any help will be beneficial for our team.

Future Dated Invoice - Cancelled

HiWe recently cancelled a future dated manual supplier invoice but when creating the voucher the date was not changed to post to the current month and the voucher was created to post to the previous month.The issue is that our IFS Financials only went live as of February 1st, 2022 but the cancellation voucher is trying to post to Period 1, January 2022 which we cannot have as well as the period being closed.What is the easiest way to correct this situation?Your comments would be appreciated.ThanksA

MRP Action proposals and hierarchy

Hi Community we are using IFS APP 10 and using the process ‘shop order infinite scheduling’ to schedule our production plans. we are trying to establish a best practice for reviewing and actioning action proposals generated when we run MRP weekly. Currently only a few of the action proposals and actioned and the rest generally ignored.does anyone know of documentation that can identify a best practice or standard approach to take when reviewing action proposals?I'm guessing not all action proposals are equal? so I am trying to identify the hierarchy of importance so our planning department can filter those action proposals on the MRP action proposal workbench. any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.kind regardsJamie

in instant invoice module , we entered some invoices in 2021 and other in 2022.in the mix payment page, select Batch doesn’t show the invoices of 2021.it display the new invoices only.those hidden invoices are posted, and updated to GL. how we can fix this issue?

Purchase Part price history

Hello all, I have been reviewing the purchase part price and I am wondering if there is a way to see the prior pricing for a given purchased parted? Part Cost History does not contain this information. I believe we make too many changes to turn on History logging for that field. Currently, our Purchasing group will update the Supplier for Purchase Part record when we receiving new pricing from a supplier. I’m hoping this historical information is stored somewhere that I am not currently aware of. Any guidance would be appreciated!

Object screen missing code part descriptions

I have one user that pulled up Object Balances Analysis and the descriptions for account, department and all the other code parts is not populating. I verified his permissions allowed him to get the descriptions and that his profile wasn’t blocking anything. Other users are able to pull this up and the descriptions all show correctly. Has anyone else run into this issue or have any suggestions as to what the problem could be?

FA depreciation with residual value

Hi there,In Fixed Assets I have set up an object with Depreciation Method Streight Line and with a Residual Value: after running the Depreciation Proposal it appears that the calculation is done without taken into account this residual value.In figures:Aq. value : 13000Res value :1000Est life : 5 yearsDepr amount per month : 216.67 ( = 13000 / 60 months)Expected depr per month : 200.00 ( = 12000 / 60 months) The test was done with 2 different ‘method types’ : ‘streight line’ and ‘RemValue/RemMonths’ but that had no effect on the amount per month ( remains 216.67 )Does anyone know how this must be solved?Your help will be very much appreciatedRegards,Martin Broekman

Limit product availibility to warehouse/node - v15.2

We have aquired a business with an operating model different from our standard model, and for practical (and financial) reasons we want this business unit to keep their operating model as is, but still use Astea for service/contract management.So my question is: is it possible to add products in Astea that are only available/visible for SAs in a specific node and/or belonging to a specific warehouse? These will have to be non-stock products, and any internal transfer will create havoc in our logistics
