Hi,when creating new document revisions, system checks the ‘Copy File’ box automatically (by default). Is there way to uncheck it by default when creating a new document revision?Right Click-->Create New Revision Thank YouRegardsNimesh

How is it possible to implement a document attachment in the customer invoice. An object connection to CustomerOrderInvHead is set up, but in the Customer Invoice view it is not possible to attach documents. Also document revisions already linked to the object are not displayed. The behavior is identical in different Cloud 21R1 installations.

In Apps8, I realized that if a document is attached to a routing operation work guideline, when creating a new routing alternate or a new revision from a routing, this connection is copied. And even when using the “copy part” assistant, the connection “document/RoutingOperWorkGuide” is copied to the new part. On the contrary, if I attach a document directly to a routing operation, this connection is not copied to any new part, routing revision or alternate. Is it a bug ? On the basis of the above point, is it possbile to call this function “document connected” in a custom event in order to copy the doc connection when it is attached to a routing operation ? Thanks for your help

I can attach file in Customer Invoice. But other user get error message 'No attachment type enabled' when click button ‘Attachments’. I have add to them same permission set as me. Is there other settings need I do?We use IFS 8.Thanks in advance!

Hi, We are IFS 8. user. We have successfully attaching documents on AP side using Manual Supplier Invoice screen and being able to view the documents on Supplier Invoice Analysis screen. However, it doesn’t seem to work on AR side. We are attaching documents on Manual Customer Invoice screen, but they are not pulling through on Customer Invoice Analysis screen. Is there anyone who could help with this please? Thank youIndre  

Afternoon,I’ve seen this asked a few times however, I still can’t find any examples to fulfil this requirement. I’m wondering if someone can help.I’m attempting to rename the Customer Invoice (CUSTOMER_ORDER_IVC_REP) to the invoice_No. Instead of the file returning as a blank name.pdf it would instead display 12345678.pdf(an Invoice number).Please note, we’re using a crystal report instead of the default IFS report (I suspect most customers are)When I attempt to click ‘Print’ on the report format & Output and click ok I seem to get an issue.I thought the configuration below would work however, it seems to report an issue:Config: Issue I’m receiving:Any ideas on to fulfil this requirement?

Hi All,Customer have different user groups for eg. AP, AR, BILLING etc.  So is there a way we can default the document class when specific user group tries to create a document ?  For eg. when AP creates a document, can the document class defaults to INVOICE and if AR creates it then defaults to VOUCHER etc.I assume the document default value setup is enterprise level.  So what is happening now is that the document class always defaults to 'INVOICE' for all the users because our document basic setup default value is 'INVOICE'.   Each user user group has to take an extra step to change the document class when they try to create a document and Customer is trying to minimize that step. Thanks & Best Regards,Nipun

Hello Matthias,referencing above thread, we are implementing IFS Cloud 21R1 at the moment and I stumbled upon the Extended EDM functionality, which at the moment solves a show-stopper requirement for us and functions as we require under EE/Apps 10. However, the missing functionality for Extended EDM in Aurena / IFS Cloud is really disappointing, especially since the IFS Cloud Documentation still references this functionality and there is no information to be found regarding deprecation of this functionality in IFS Cloud. I hereby strongly request the functionality be made available in IFS cloud as this is a core requirement for us in Document management. RegardsChristian

Hi members, I have been using the function “  Edm_File_Sign_Util_API.Sign_Pdf_File_Vis_By_File” to attach a digital signature to a EDM file in DOCMAN. Now, we have a parameter in this function to assign a Signature to a particular page number, how can i dynamically get the last page number of a pdf file in document revision.

We are running IFS Apps10 UPD10 (soon to be UPD13).Users are asking if it is possible to use drag and drop to get document attachments out of IFS and onto their desktop.  We know how to use drag and drop to add documents, but can’t get it to work to access documents.What they want - when in a customer order (or purchase order or business opportunity or . . . ), be able to open the Attachments pane, click on Documents, select a document listed, and then drag/drop it onto their desktop.Is this possible? 

Hi Fellows,Our client is getting below mentioned error whenever they are either creating new Document revision or attaching document to any other window. Its not allowing to move forward.  This error is appearing with every user. Can anyone help on this.. Regards

Document management check out path, can this be set centrally for all users ? We are having issues with the check out path for document management, as default it goes to our onedrive. This causes issues. A solution we have found is changing the check out path to the local C: drive, but as far we found, this need to be set user per user. Is there a solution to change this once for all users ?

Hi,Currently, document revisions can be released in any random order (irrespective of the order they were created). Would it cause problems if we put in some restrictions from that happening?Restrictions such as,1. We make sure that they can only be released in the order they were created in2. In a scenario where the value in the Update Revision field is set as “Latest Released Revision”, we keep the object connections in the latest created revision which was released without letting them move to a revision which was released after, but created much earlier?Thanks!

Hi, Customer is going to use IFS HUB as their main central repository for document, and would like to know any IFS bench marking details such as: 1.      Is there any known limitation of maximum size of document which supposed to  replicate.?2.      Any known  consideration about memory allocation to IntServers in HUB and SATs with regards to size of the document to be replicate. Can we have an official answer from RnD or from any other consultant familiar in this area ?I referred “User Guide - Replication (Data Synchronization)” and Technical Documentation as well, but could not find above information. Thank you. Best Regards,Thilini

Is there any description  of the expected contence in the Document management  office plugin?  We have installed the Plugin and it seems to work as expected. But I expect to have at least tree different functions, check out, check in and create new documents.In the installed Plugin, the Create new document is the only available action. Is the checkin and check out button possible to activate in the Plugin or is this an limitation of the Plugin  to only allow  “New documents”?

Hello guys,I’m trying to upgrade Apps8 database objects to Apps10 UPD8 using the build provided by IFS and getting this kind of errors from the installer at the very early stage after deployment process started. When trying to create a Document, or upload an existing one it’s giving me a generic error:“Group Id, Person Id or Object Id must have a value”. I have checked Person group exists for that Document Class which has a object connection as well. What am I missing here? Many thanks!

Hi All,Document management doesn’t seem to be activated even after setting the object connections and permissions. All the users are facing this issue. The issue persists even with IFSAPP login.  Hi,I need to limit Document Class “100 - Drawing” to attach only PDF as File Type. I do not want to attach other file types to document class 100. Is it possible via Macros tab in Document Class Management of Class 100? or Is there any other way? Thanks in advanceNimesh
