Hi,

Is it possible to control basic data selection in e.g. context in IFS Cloud as it is possible to control basic data in the profile, e.g. IFS8. It applies to several basic data in both DocMan and other IFS modules.

Or is there another way to solve this? The point is that not everyone should have access to all document classes but only be able to choose those who are for the company you work in.

The question comes from a customer where there will be several companies working on the same application. IFS Cloud.

The only thing we have in Docman is the ability to restrict which persons can create documents using a certain document class. But that's not company specific at all.

With some custom LU/entity to keep the rules, I think you can quite easily add similar restrictions in place for other basic data by using custom events. It will not stop users from seeing the "illegal" basic data, but it will stop them from using it.

Other modules will have other options and the best is to ask in other forums about that.
