I have in File types PDF as a View Copy file type in IFS Cloud.
Apparently that prevents me from choosing PDF files when checking in a new document as original.
Is there any way to come around that?
Some files for example a CV from an Applicant in HR, will typically be uploaded as a PDF file from the start, and I want that checked in as a new document

Hi,
That’s a bug. Even if a certain file type is set as Document Type = VIEW, you should be able to check such a file in as if it is an original file (which is the case here).
Report this and we will fix it. Provide as much details as you can about what you do this, where, and what happens and does not happen.
