Can we use alternate screen layouts to create custom layouts for the Document Revision page in IFS Cloud as we did earlier? or do need to handle alternate screen layouts different in IFS Cloud?

For more information see https://docs.ifs.com/ifsclouddocs/21r2/

In IFS Could Documentation 21R2, Basic Data Document Basic, Document Default Values is still a DB Column value for DOC_INFO_ALT_LAYOUT about definition of Alternate screen layouts are used to create custom layouts for the Document Revision page.

Copy from Document Default Values:
Defines the value of the alternate screen layout. Alternate screen layouts are used to create custom layouts for the Document Revision page. If this field is empty, the alternate screen layout option will not be available. If a value is given in this field, it should also be given as the Process for the Target field in the Properties of the new navigator item when creating a alternate layout. The value can only be set centrally (Document Basic/Document Default Values page) and cannot be set for each class.

Hi Geir, thanks for posting here.

No, we did not bring that with us from IEE into Aurena and there are no plans for it either. We should really delete that basic data since it is not used.

I would push back on such a feature being added today, actually. To have one page that looks differently at different times, for the same groups of users, seems … like a fringe use case.

My view, not a final answer.

It also complicates things; in every place where we can navigate to, say, Document Revision, we also need another command to do the same but getting another layout enabled.
