Hi Team,We have configured High Availability setup in IFS Cloud 24R2SU2. and followed IFS Technical Documentation.all three nodes showing status is ready. But while testing High Availability its not working as expected. Please find the below scenarios.Scenario 1:We have shut down the Node3 and status changed to NotReady. After shut down the node3, Application is up and running without any issues. Scenario 2:We have shut down the Node2 along with Node3.Now, we are unable to login Application and could not able to check pods status and node status alsogetting below errorGet "https://node1 ip:16443/api/v1/pods?limit-500": read tcp management ip:54992->node1 ip:16443: wsarecv: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. - error from a previous attempt: unexpected EOFUnable to login cloud application.Scenario 3:Then we have started node2 and node3 and checked the nodes status, all nodes are ready and able to login application.Scenario 4:We have shut down the node1 and tr

Hello, I was hoping to dynamically change the signature based off the user id in report studio. I was looking through the documentation and found a DB Image function. This is the syntax: DBImage(‘report_logo_’,’image_data’,’item_id=[ItemID]’) When I tried it with this: DBImage('report_signatures','IMAGE' ,'image_name=JONEIL.jpg'), it took the syntax but it doesn’t work. I was wondering if there was something I was missing? Could this also be utilized for customer orders? For example, let’s say I wanted to print the signature of the salesperson. Could that function be utilized? Thank you.

I have an inventory part that someone in one of our sites undid a scrap after serialization was turned on at receipt and issue. Now this part is stuck (qty 2) due to being unable to scrap or to create a serial number to assign to the parts. Please advise.steps to replicate:1) scrap all parts in inventory for specific part no2) turn on serialization for issue and receipt (not inventory tracking)3) undo scrap transaction

Hello,I am looking to see if there are any column level definitions in any of the IFS documentation for fields like C1, C2 and N1, N2 etc that can be found on tables/views like Invoice_Item_Tab.I found some defitions for Invoice Header and Invoice_Line under the EDI messages page but nothing for the Invoice Item.https://ifstestcloud.xxxxxxxxx.com/ifsdoc/documentation/en/default.htm?openpage=https://ifstestcloud.xxxxxxxxx.com/ifsdoc/documentation/en/GeneralIFSApplications/AboutEDIMessages.htm (I replaced our local instance name with xxxxx)Is there a place where I can find these?Thank you

Hi All,Is there any way, we could ‘force’ deactivate a customer and it’s associated sites, while there are ‘open’ service orders against those sites? We have a scenario, where we have thousands of service orders sitting in the Audit queue for a customer/sites that we soon want to deactivate. We can’t push them through to history/invoice because they’ve already been manually invoiced, and so we wouldn’t want them being priced and invoiced again. We could just cancel the orders I guess, but there are 242,000 of them, and to prevent killing the system, we’d have to do this in chunks, and this could take months.Any suggestions?CheersMark.

Scenario:I’d like to maintain a list of “Trade Shows” basic data with a status of active/inactive, and have a LOV only show the active records to pick from. Similar functionality to hiding/blocking coordinators, etc in other areas of IFS Cloud.  I have a custom entity with two columns:Column 1: Trade show (String)Column 2: Status (CustomEnum: Active/Hidden) On the Sales Lead entity (Business Lead), i have created a custom attribute that references the custom table. In my page designer, i’d like to add this field as a LOV, and have the LOV filter to show only the records where status = Active. I have found this page: https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/23r1/040_tailoring/225_configuration/200_client_configurations/310_conditional_fields/200_filter_enumeration_values/But it doesn’t cover my exact scenario. Is this functionality possible to do without a customization? If not, is it possible to just Hard Code the values that i want to see manually? For reference, I am on 23R1.8

Hello, We would like to set up Azure Blob Storage to host attachments as well as GED documents.IFS Cloud version : 24.1.4We are using IFS Cloud in remote mode, but there is very little documentation. Our goal is to avoid overloading our Oracle database with documents. From what I understand, FTP and FTPS are being deprecated, so we are opting for a solution based on Azure Blob Storage. I found this documentation: https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/24r1/070_remote_deploy/400_installation_options/120_file_storage_for_remote/122_installation_guide/. Do you know if this solution works with a shared Azure Blob Storage? These are variables to add to the YAML file, I assume, since these functions don't exist by default in the file? Thank you in advance for your help Best regards

Hello,In our current IFS Cloud 25R1 setup, we have noticed that the standard expense process works as follows: The employee submits the expense sheet. The line manager reviews and approves it. The finance team must then authorize the expense sheet before it can proceed to payment. For our business process, once the line manager approves an expense, we would like it to be ready for payment without requiring the authorization step.My questions are: Is there any configuration setting in IFS Cloud 25R1 that allows us to remove or bypass the finance authorization step entirely? If not, has anyone implemented a workaround such as a custom event, workflow modification, or any other tailoring to achieve this? Are there any risks or limitations we should be aware of if we remove this step? Any guidance, examples, or documentation references would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!

What is the best practice to back order parts on a SV , eg if we have x 30 serialized items to BO , sourcing each one iat a time is time consuming creating 30lines 😥wondering if any one have a better solution. Thanks

Our IFS cloud deployment of 23R2 is working fine. I’ve been using the OData APIs to build integrations with external software. So far, all of the paths I have used are for projections, with some form of:/main/ifsapplications/projection/v1/CustomerOrderHandling.svcHowever now I’m trying to use some entity paths like this:/int/ifsapplications/entity/v1/CustomerOrderEntity.svcThese are failing with this response: {  error: {    code: "ODP_SERVICE_IS_NOT_ACTIVE",    message: "Service is not active."  }}Anyone know how to resolve this?Thanks,-Chris

Does anyone know how to set this toggle off by default? Is there a setting somewhere?

Hi Everyone,I would like to submit many documents with one approval template for Client review and approval. How can I proceed, please?I am using IFS APP10Many thanks in advanceRoyIbrahim.

Hello IFS commnity, I have created some PDF_REPORT_CREATED custom event actions that will send an email according to the custom code I have created and it is sending the email normally. For example form the Purchase Order when it is in Released status , you have three ways to send the email. If you select the Print Order or Print Order Work Copy option and send the email after previewing it, I am able to receive the custom email. See the screenshot below. Now, if I select the E-mail Order option, it sends an email that I believe is generated by IFS by default. I’m wondering where I can find the structure or template of that email within IFS.I need to know how I can find the details of the email mentioned above. It’s not configured at the Custom Event Action level. Where else could I find it in IFS? Thanks,

Hello everyone,I'm working on a workflow where I need to:Fetch the results of a quick report, Convert the output into a CSV file, and Send that file as an email attachment using a custom projection.I've already created a custom projection that uses Command_Sys.Mail() (Overload 1), as suggested in some other forum posts. The process works well overall, the report is fetched and converted to CSV, but I’ve hit a limitation: the VARCHAR2 parameter is too small to hold the full content of the report. Because of this, I can’t reliably use the Mail procedure in its current form.I considered switching to Command_Sys.Mail() (Overload 2), which supports CLOB input for both the message body and attachments. However, it seems that this overload cannot be added as an action in a custom projection due to its use of CLOB parameters. My questions are:Is there a recommended way to use the first Mail function with a reference to a local file (since it supports file paths when the input doesn’t contain an

Hello,A similar question has been written in the post below. But I had to create a new post because the post is closed.@Garak @Chathuri Peiris Question 1For example;* Material with serial number TT01012005 was sold to customer C123456 on 2005/01/01.* On 2008/01/01, customer C123456 sold material with serial number TT01012005 to company X.* Company X called me as the manufacturer of the material it purchased; It asked if I could create/create a technical service service.I did not make the sale to Company X. C123456 company made the sale. How do I change customer ownership of object serial number TT01012005? Question 2I can't change the part catalog description because there are serial materials waiting to create serial objects. Is there an option for that? What is the purpose of this control!?Equipment_Serial_API:serial_state_ := PART_SERIAL_CATALOG_API.Get_Objstate(newrec_.part_no, newrec_.mch_serial_no);IF (NOT serial_state_ IN ('InFacility', 'InRepairWorkshop', 'Contained', 'InInvento

Hi all,We are working with IFS Applications (version 8), and I need guidance on how to split a single operation across multiple work centers, based on quantity.📌 Scenario: We have a shop order with Lot Size = 20. One of the operations is MONTAJ (assembly). We'd like to perform this operation in two different work centers: 13 units in Work Center 555 7 units in Work Center 602 However, here are the limitations I'm facing:❌ Challenges: I cannot edit the "Qty to Report" field in the Operation tab. It is always set to the full lot size (20) Even if I create two MONTAJ operations manually, each one still expects 20 units instead of 30 and 20. ❓ Questions: What is the correct way to split an operation across multiple work centers based on quantity? Can we adjust "Qty to Report" per operation? Are there any other standard methods or best practices to reflect multi-work-center execution for the same operation? Any guidance, workaround, or configuration suggestion would be h

Question to the configuration and framework gurus: Is it possible to configure hierarchical LoVs using custom fields? We often see this use case in failure trees, where up to 5 fields are populated to categorize a problem (and potentially present suggested solutions). For example, in Field1 you can choose 1, 2, 3. When you select 1, Field2 offers 1.1, 1.2, 1.3. When you select 1.3, Field3 offers 1.3.1, 1.3.2, 1.3.3, etc. You get the idea. 😁In Structured Failure Management we have a 3-level tree, so somehow it seems to be possible, but ideally I’m looking for a solution that works in Page Designer.Appreciate your help.

Saving an empty value using ODATA API is not possible. It changes the task_status but doesn’t update the user_def1 to empty in the below example.URL : https://<fmsserver>/odata/task(12345)Method : Patch1st call (works fine)Body : {    "task_status": "HOLD",    "status_as_of": "2021-10-26T15:37:37.0047496",    "user_def1": "ENROUTE",    "modified_by": "USER1"} 2nd call (user_def1 is not set to blank)Body : {    "task_status": "ENROUTE",    "status_as_of": "2021-10-26T15:37:37.0047496",    "user_def1": "",    "modified_by": "USER1"}

I suspect I may be missing something obvious but looking for help with this.Apps10. We have documents (e.g. Calibration documents) of a particular Document Class that were attached to records (Manufacturing Tools) in the past.At the time of the files being attached/uploaded the Document Class in question had incorrect access configured. This has now been fixed, so that the correct Document Groups now have access to this Document Class, however none of the existing files are not retroactively inheriting these permissions.  New files of the same Document Class that we attach now have corrected access controls, but the old ones remain unchanged in terms of access. How can we update the access permissions on existing documents of a specific Document Class to get the current correct access that is assigned to that same Document Class? Is there an additional step or script that I need to run to force this change to apply to previously attached files? Thanks,Nick

We have a problem at IFS Cloud 24.2.4. At unpredictable times, the system stops generating any PDF reports, and we are forced to restart the system. Actions like clearing the report queue or deleting the report node do not help. The error message is provided below. Is there any improvement we can implement or any memory increase or monitoring steps we should consider? We currently have 2 nodes in the reporting cluster. The report might contain errors or the nodes might not be able to handle the reports which were concurrently executing with the available resources.Regards.
