Back ordering

What is the best practice to back order parts on a SV , eg if we have x 30 serialized items to BO , sourcing each one iat a time is time consuming creating 30lines 😥wondering if any one have a better solution.

Hi Nazish,

 

You can utilise the ‘General Queue’ module.  You can search records with the ‘Needed’ status, select multiple target records and select the ‘Back Order’ option from the ‘Actions’ menu.

 

For the records with no Warehouse set, you can also select the ‘Source’ from the menu.

 

I suggest you play around with this in your UAT to find out the best solutions to suit your business operations.

You can also set the Serialized On Usage flag in the Product Center module (that will make it easier to receive the items in since you won’t need to enter in the serial numbers at that time any longer...the application will enforce that logic once you go to to fulfill the demand).
