Hello Has someone experiance running IFS enterprise explorer client with Mac?

In IEE on an LOV, you can set a default saved search. Is there a way to do something similar in Aurena? For example, we built a saved search on expense sheets so that the only work orders a person will see are those that are assigned to them.  Otherwise the LOV has way too much to navigate. How do you do that in Aurena?

We just refreshed our test environment from live. Now used stop_all_servers.bat to stop all servers. All servers successfully stopped.   However upon restarting servers the script is stuck at Starting server ManagedServer1….   Any idea what could be the reason. Looking at the logs it shows  The server 'ManagedServer1' with process id 21880 is no longer alive; waiting for the process to die.

Is it possible to translate text in EE client? Shouldn´t this also be in database like all other translations?   For example, change a text in a EE form from “Create Disposition Data” to another text on NCR form.

Hi All, We are using IFS 9 and we have the following problem with reports:   In much description-fields the text will be formatted by the user using tab key. These descriptions are "unreadable" in reports designed with IFS Report Designer or Crystal Reports:     The C#-forms shows us probably more spaces for a char(9) as the database? How can I show a "nice" formatted text in the report? Can anybody help me?   Best regards Lucie

Hi, I have created a custom LU and one of fields requires LOV. LOV view is a standard view and I want to pass a WHERE clause. In this case, view is DISCRETE_CHARAC_VALUE and I always want to get records in LOV WHERE CHARACTERISTIC_CODE = ‘ABC’. How can I get this done?   Appreciate your response. Thank you.  

Hi, I would like to know if Enterprise Explorer would handle rolling updates in this scenario: Cluster of 2+ nodes NGINX load balancer   The process for applying updates would be: Take down 1 node Does Enterprise Explorer switch over to a new node seamlessly without crashing and kicking the user out? Apply the client delivery to that node Bring the node back up Repeat the process for all nodes… Profit? Is this scenario possible without EE crashing?   NOTE: We only deliver client updates using the installer. Database changes are done manually to prevent downtime. This also cuts the delivery process to a couple of minutes, instead of hours.  

Can any one explain how we can generate the Preventive Maintenance Tasks Automatically from Contracts.  This should be done in the background. I am aware about the contract manager.

Hello, A user recently brought to my attention that the ‘Export’ button is missing from the IFS BR ribbon/ toolbar in Excel when the report is run/ exported from App10 IFS IEE. We are currently using version 5.0.8.0. Additionally, the IFS BR ‘Export’ button seems to appear in Development mode when logged in to IFS BR application on PC.  Is the recommended workaround to use the native Excel ‘File → Export’ functionality?

How do you change the options in a radio group control in Aurena? For example, when adding an expense to an expense sheet, there is a radiogroup control where the user picks between mileage, entertainment, and other. For my company entertainment is not a valid option.  We only want either mileage or other. How do I hide the entertainment option from the radiogroup control?

Hello, A customer of mine has asked to extend one of the fields in IFS9. My immediate answer was: no go. Don't do it. The change is relatively simple when looking at the table itself, but the remaining things? What is your opinion on this? Regards, Steve

IFS Setup:  IFS Apps 10 Barcode Printer:  Zebra ZT-420 Crystal Reports:  2016 I am trying to create the inventory part barcode label in GS1 format.   This looked to have worked in IFS Report Designer by using a custom field to generate the code required and using the DataMatrix label format.   However, although I have amended the page layout to be 10cm x 7cm it still appears to be printing as per A4, the label prints in the centre of the width of the page.  If I look at the layout in report designer layout it still specifies A4 and will not let me change the value.   How can I do this? Secondly, can anyone recommend a GS1 Barcode Font provider that can be used in Crystal Reports as that was my second choice to create the barcode label. If we have to purchase from a GS1 Barcode Font provider, how is this implemented into IFS.  I think the ‘plugin’ would have to be installed on the middleware server.  Is there a specific folder that the font needs to be in? Lastly, how would I get IFS to

Noticed that the mm_message_out table which contains mobile messages doesn't seem to get cleaned up. What process does the actual cleanup of the mm_message_out table?

TLS 1.0/1.1 will reach end of support by Microsoft by end of June, 2020. At our company we run IFS 9 UPD 1. We are using IFS functionality to send emails via IFSCONNECT mail sender, we don´t have right now TLS checked We want to understand: The impact in the email sending functionality from IFS, we don´t know if Office365 will be blocking this feature or we will have any change when current TLS versions become unsupported If we can install TLS 1.2 in our current version Thank you, Mariola

Dear IFS Community   We have found that when users run “Order Reports” or other Built In reports, the “Created” data/time is always the server time, not the time representing the users locale. Where is this set to change the Report time to the users time zone? Thanks. David.

It has been noticed in a few setups where there has been performance issues with FSM that turning off the activity feed greatly improves performance. These cases have been where the activity feed is on its default settings as it was not being used. Is there a more elegant solution to prevent the excessive use of processing by the activity feed than just switching it off. Would it be considered to have the activity feed to require setup as well as being activated to ensure that systems do not end up with these default settings that appear to be resource hungry? Any other additional information on how the activity feed processes would also be helpful. Thanks in advance. Lee      

I am attempting to re-initialize a mobile device from the Mobile Dashboard screen (Mobile Dashboard > Right click on device >  “Initialize Device”) which works - the INIT messages gets pushed to the mobile device, the mobile device initializes and everything works until you log out. After logging out on the mobile app, when you try to log in next (using the same password as before initializing) the app says the password is invalid. No changes have been made to the person record, nothing done except “Initialize Device”
