Hi , I am trying to capture week numbers ( 1/1/20 being week 1 and 31/12/20 being week 52). This is so i can report breakdown time on a week to week bases and then display in a chart for, lest say 10 week and then see a trend. Does anyone know if there is  a way to create an outline around fields on a page?  There is an existing outline on the page but we want to create a new one for some custom fields that have been added.  This is an example of the out-of-the box outline.  We’d like to add one or more new ones.

I am trying to create a business rule that does the following:   When creating a task, look at the default brand on the request_unit and insert the correct template based on that model number. So if Default_Brand = FRANKE then put in FRANKE Task Template. I tried to do this  Right now - its putting it on all tasks. I figured this is because i set the value table name and column under the input properties. Must be just matching off all the table values instead of the request unit. The model/request unit isnt put on the task until AFTER the task is inserted so thats why im trying to look back at the request. If it was on the task before insert then this rule wouldnt be so much trouble

We have created many Business Analytics reports and need to modify hard-coded filter criteria in many of the reports.  Is there a table that stores the filter criteria for repeaters that have been defined in the report template?  I’ve tried searching the XML files that are generated by unzipping the XLST file.  But have not been able to find anything related to the repeaters.   I also found the table that stores the report parameters (XLR_TEMPLATE_PARAMETER_TAB) ; those the user of the report is prompted for, but can’t locate where the row, column and cell repeaters are stored.  

Hi I am interested to know when you create new users, what is the default permission set you grant them to allow them to login to the application? I have compared FND_ENDUSER, FND_RUNTIME and FND_CONNECT and either they have too much access or not enough… FND_ENDUSER gives users the ability to create new database task schedules which we wouldnt want to grant whereas FND_CONNECT gives users access to Schedule Application Server Tasks. Both these functions I would only allow the IFS Administrator to have access.  Functional permission sets would supplement this initial permission set; so i wouldn’t expect it to have access to any of the functional screens.  Please provide your thoughts and recommendations  Regards Shaun

All, does anyone auto input web orders into an IFS PO? We have to order our PPE, so non production orders, via the suppliers website, so that we can match invoices the PO is then again entered into IFS, was hoping someone might have a better way of work that could help ourselves.   Thanks for reading, Sarah

I have a created a Lobby element which is timing out.  I am logged on as user IFSAPP.  The result is the same for two other users.  The PL/SQL query behind the element returns the FIVE records in FOUR seconds select contract, part_no, ifsapp.inventory_part_cfp.Get_Cf$_Qty_Demand (contract,part_no) qty_demand from inventory_part ip where ip.PART_STATUS = 'C' and ip.CONTRACT = 'PCT' and ifsapp.inventory_part_cfp.Get_Cf$_Qty_Demand (contract,part_no) >0   The Lobby Data source I have created with the same query takes 90 seconds to populate with either “&AO” or “ifsapp” prefix   The Lobby element times out and doesn’t return any data after 2 minutes. The Custom Field referred to is using a select statement: select ipa.qty_demand from ifsapp.INV_PART_CONFIG_PROJECT_ALT ipa where ipa.contract = :contract and ipa.part_no = :part_no Does anyone have any suggestions why the disparity or how to resolve? Currently for our users to transfer parts to our mobile devices, they have to create a request, fill in the part needs, print picks, ship it etc. Then the tech will receive it on his screen under the receiving tab. this is a lengthy process for our shippers, especially in the summer. Logistics manager lets the user transfer a part in only a few clicks. takes 20 seconds to do. However the part wont immediately show up in the mobile users stock. They have to initialize before the data come into their phone We’re on v5.7. Is this a version issue or is there a way around this?

I am trying to capture the time of a maintenance WO between Fault Reported and Workdone status. Basically down time for the previous 7 days displayed on a lobby. I have built the lobby and i can record the downtime/ breakdown time for last week but not the last 7 days.

Hi All,   We noticed that the minus sign for currency figures in IFS reports is different based on language. Eg: Seems that English is used short minus (U+002D) and for the Swedish uses long minus (U+2212). Pagero OCR does not recognise the long minus so it causes trouble for customer. Has anyone had this problem and found a solution? Example in Apps10 UPD 5: Invoice Left: English Right: Swedish

In IFS Apps 9, how does IFS runtime client store “caching” the username and password that is used on the IFS login screen?   Our client is running into an issue where no matter if they tell it to save the password it keeps changing what user is logging in. Only exception is IFS is launched through a shared ClickOnce  (ifs.fnd.runtime) application using RDS, not via URL. Other option is to figure out a way to suppress or grey out the Extended logon options: Please advise.
