currently we are running IFS Apps 8 SP1.
I was wondering how to turn as Single Sign On authentication on this version.

Yes. all you need to do is to do a reconfiguration of the existing application server using the reconfigure option in the installer. Prior to Apps 10 pretty much all server side configurations related to authentication (and many other things) can only be done by re configuring.

In apps 8 this can be this is done by configuring the user authentication method in the App server installer accordingly. You can find detailed information about the process in the standard technical documentation.
