Hi! A different project within the organization is implementing Applications 10 (A10), an engagement which involves both an upgrade (from v8), reimplementation of some features and utilization of new features. That implementation project is pressed for time and has little capacity to help others. While I am on a different project that is supposed to consume Asset and Resource data from IFS and then write back status updates (e.g. equipment shutdown/upgrades with according workforce reservations during planned periods). We are on a different schedule and will have to specify high-level design BEFORE the other project are ready to contribute much. Our integration this shall happen programatically, i.e. via application-to-application/machine-to-machine (A2A/M2M), e.g. via API/ReST/JSON pattern.  Now my question is this: Where do I look to learn more about recommended approaches/discussions of design choices, please? When a task is committed in PSO, it is taking too long (sometime upto 15-20 min) to reflect in PSO.This has been a issue since day 1 of FSM and PSO implementation in TDC. Normally it takes around 3-4 min to reflect in PSO but after 2,3 days it is getting very slow (it is taking 15-20 min) that users are unable to work on and completely stand still condition coming for them and at the same time we are experiencing slowness in FSM also, then if we are restarting the gateway services and after that it is becoming normal again (it is taking 3-4 min) and FSM also becoming normal. So the story is that in general it is normal slow (3-4 min) but after 2, 3 days it is becoming abnormally slow (15-20 min). There is something happening in PSO services, which is giving this slowness and after the restart it is becoming normal again. We have priority 2 Incident running for this issue and as a workaround we have planned to restart the gateway service in every alternate day to improve the performance

Hi, I have a customer who uses Increment Schedules for night work. When an employee work night they are entitled to a fixed increment. When the employee is sick, they also have the right to this fixed increment, except the first sick day. Are there any way to set this up in Time Management? BR Karro

We heard that it’s possible to notify our users with rolling text inside of IFS. Does anyone knows how this is enabled and can be used? I think the rolling text will be visible in the address field in Enterprise Explorer. (is this possible in Aurena as well?) Wants to notify users with info about upcoming updates, important actions, etc.

I am interested in tracking user activity in my IFS8/Oracle 12c system. The type of information I am interested in is: When was a module or transaction last used? Which users are using which modules or executing which programs? What are the most frequently used modules or transactions? What modules have the highest CPU usage? When I query gv$session I can see the current users and what they are executing, but I am looking for historic data. I know this information might be available from Oracle OEM, but due to separation of duties, I do not have access to this tool.

 I know that you can add a new adjustmnt_reasn in Code Tables,  but how does an adjustment_reasn get entered into the records on part_tranlog, is it only when a stock count is posted?     

Hi,   I have some quick reports created in IFS 10, and suddenly, one of them stopped exporting data to excel. Inside IFS, I can see the values I am querying, but in excel I get the “No data found!” message on the first cell.  Does anyone know what might be causing this sudden error and how to get around it?

Hi, I’m trying to figure out how to install IFS EE Extension for all users via ConfigMgr. From my testing I can’t get it to work then doing it in SYSTEM context. Has anyone found a solution for this?    When I do it manually (starting the ifseeextensioninstall.msi) with a user account that have admin rights on a machine, it works correctly. But there must be a solution where the user doesn't need to be local admin, right? Best regards/ Tobias Sandberg

We have recently begun developing reports in BA.  We have published several for our end users to run on demand, but when the reports open in Excel they are blank.  This only happened for the end users without the BA Excel Add-in installed.   No errors are received, they just get a blank excel spreadsheet.   It was my understanding that the end users would only require the Execution Server and obviously be granted access through their permission sets to see the reports. Is there another piece to this that we’re missing that would cause everything generated for end users to be blank? 

How do I determine which Projections I need to grant in order to give permission to do a function in Aurena?  For example, if I want to grant the “Report Time” function, how do I find the projections to grant?

Hi All,   We are proposing GDPR functionality for a customer in APPS10 UPD 6 and noted that First Name and Last name in the Personal File is not included in meta data (Personal_Data_Man_Det)     Is this due to a bug or is this something configurable?   Cheers! Damith

Hello, Our users request a custom RMB from “register arrivals” to the related demand source of type “Shop order” (use case outside operations) in IFS 10 Update 6. This was already implemented in IFS 8 SP1. Due to changes in the view, required source columns are only referenced from the client, but don’t exist in view. in Form Register Arrivals, the relevant data is displayed. column Demand Order Ref1 is not a field in the view. it is a referenced value (...api.get...) Custom Menu definition requires a source column in the source view - which does not exist   other approach could be: Idea 1: source Key Name could allow to use a bind variable of the column name of the form like: :tbwRegisterArrivals.colsDemandOrderRef1 Idea 2: source Key Name could allow to use a get-function of the format like:    &AO.Receipt_Info_Manager_API.Get_Demand_Order_Ref1(SOURCE_REF1,SOURCE_REF2,SOURCE_REF3,SOURCE_REF4,SOURCE_REF_TYPE_DB) There is the same problem when defining a condition for Custom RMB. I have created custom menus in several screens, and they are working. But for one custom menu I want it to display only there is a value in a specific field. Therefore, I used conditions. But seems the custom menu is not accepting the condition. I have a Quick Report (Crystal Report) that has the parameter WO_NO (work order number).   The report works fine.   Created a custom menu on the work order header and in the custom menu set the Quick Report Parameter as: Source Key Name = WO_NO Dest Key Name = WO_NO This again works fine but the user has to press enter when the parameter screen displays the Work Order No.   Can this be set to AUTO accept the value being passed?

Hi, we have an issue where we want to use document attachments for expenses. The users who will need to be able to view the attachment is the employee the expense sheet has been created for, the employees manager and an administration team. Generally the employee is inputting the attachment so will automatically get permission to see the document, adding an administrative team is easy but how can I get the employees line manager to view the document without opening the document up to multiple other users?ThanksHelen
