Hi, I am looking for the possibility to add Characteristics to Supplier Master Data. Is that possible? I have created the Technical class and Attributes but could not see the Characteristics option in the Attachments for Supplier. So I am wondering how can we get the Characteristics option when we click Attachments in Supplier. /Harini

Hi,   We are facing the issue where the interval from our Shop Floor Workbench Filters is not looking at the manufacturing calendar.  We have for example an interval of -10 days in the past and 3 days in the future. This is causing issues on the Fridays where users are not able to see the planning for Monday and Tuesday.  Is there a fix/workaround for this issue?

After getting my quick report (crystal report) to work by suffixing the views with _A I tried adding parameter(s).  Unfortunately, this has provide errors: I have added the parameter IFS_ORDER_NO. So the Crystal Report Select Expert looks like: CUSTOMER_ORDER_A.ORDER_NO  is equal to {?IFS_ORDER_NO}   However, when running the Quick Report I am not prompted for the parameter value. My idea would be to create a custom menu on the Customer Order that runs the Quick Report and uses the current Customer Order No as the parameter value.   Any ideas?

Good day, we are using apps 9.  I have a question about combining condition based work order and time based work orders.  We have engines that require maintenance every so many hours or at a specific time interval.  Is there a way to create a PM in the service and maintenance area that would handle that? Hi,   We have a scenario which requires to enter a forecast for a part but want to generate demand/supply for its components as well. We also need to consume the forecast for the parent part. The problem is that the current business process calls for all customer orders to have supply code as Shop Order, therefore we will be generating double demand. This works fine if we change the supply code to Invent Order in the Customer Order. Any idea on how to do this without changing the forecast or the supply code?   Thanks!

I have a user that is trying to export query data from IFS, a large amount of query data, and he just needs the flat file (.csv). His Output channel is exporting the .csv file to Excel and trying to auto-open, and the export is taking a very long time - due to the many rows of data being downloaded to Excel. The user does not need to view this info in Excel, so is there a way to create an Output channel where it will just allow you to save the flat file to a local file folder without having to open in an application first?

Hi, My company is in progress upgrading IFS 7.2 to IFS 10. I want to know about MRP because before we had to create MRP custom from scratch.  But now IFS 10 has DDMRP that said to be a hybrid of Pull System (Kanban) and Push System (MRP). Is there any company in here already using IFS Application 10 that implementing Demand Driven MRP?  Thank you!  

Using APPS 10, has anyone got NOTIFY_PR_AUTH_COMPLETED working?   We are attempting to have the Purchase Requisitioner receive an email when the Purchase Req has been authorized, which this event seems to want to do but we’re having no joy.   For Background, we DO have PUR_REQ_LINE_TO_BE_AUTHORIZED working and that sends an email to the Authorizers within the Authorization group.  NOTIFY_PR_AUTH_COMPLETED just doesn’t seem to work in the same way.

Is there away to create users from a template or to copy from an existing user?Our current process of creating users is very manual and time consuming, if we could copy a user who does the same role or create templates for each role it would be a lot better. Any help or advise anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated. 

We have problem on production database that pictures pasted into yellow note are not saved in the database. On test database they are saved. I have figured out that yellow notes are saved in TEXT column of type CLOB in the table FND_NOTE_PAGE_TAB. We are using IFS App 9 UPDATE 7. Any suggestions ?

I have set up a Quick Report to run a Crystal Report and this works fine except that I am being prompted for Login Information each time it is run.   e.g. if the Crystal Report is accessing the CUSTOMER_ORDER_TAB I receive the following:   Login Information for CUSTOMER_ORDER_TAB is requested prompting me to enter: Login: Password: DB Instance:  Schema Owner:   Can anyone please advise what I am missing.

I have created a Custom Logical Unit in order to create a custom page. One of these fields has been setup as a referenced persistent field reading from SHOP_MATERIAL_ALLOC_CFV. There were a couple of custom fields in this view that have since been removed. When I try to bring up a list of values on the reference field I get an ‘invalid identifier’ error on one of the removed fields. Is there a way to ‘refresh’ or re-publish the list of views so the removed fields are excluded?

I have lobby data source pointing to IAL. Is there any other way to pick columns to use than write those manually? Data source ‘preview’ show data and columns even not selected any, but element designer can’t use sata source if not wrote needed columns to data source.

Hi All,   I’m bit confused about how PLSQL method works for inbound messages with binary data (eg: incoming PDF) My interpretation of the documentation is that the IFS framework will encode input binary file to base64, placed in the BIN_DATA attribute of framework generated XML; thus the input of the PLSQL method is an XML.  Both examples in the documentation were also written considering that the input is a XML  However, my experience was that input clob for the PL SQL method is actual file data instead of a XML. Am I confused with the documentation or is is there anything I have missed? Example Function just return the input:   Application Message with Message Response PDF My assumption was the response would be a XML with encoded file data; instead it’s actual input file   Cheers! How to change the history of the saved schedules? Any parameters for it?Tried ‘MaximumSavedSchedules’ but it only for the number of schedules that it keeps in the system, the requirement is to to set up how far i can go back on saved schedules.

Hi, We have 215 vouchers sat in error that have not passed through to our General Ledger. All of the errors relate to Manual supplier invoices created by numerous users on or after 16th December. The same update error of “The Obj Connect Lu Transform object does not exist” relating to an IP5 posting control. We are not aware of any changes to our system, so are totally baffled as to it’s cause. Has anyone got a clue how to resolve this or had a similar issue ? Regards, Daryl

We want to create some links to web pages on an App 10 lobby. Is there a way to specify that a link on a lobby page should open in external browser, and not inside IEE?

We are currently on Apps 9.  We would like to batch print customer invoices but we have multiple templates that are used for this. I am trying to create a report rule that will default the layout template when a specific site is selected so the invoices are printed on the correct layout.  We have tried various iterations of the expression in the report rule but none seem to be working.  One such version is below.  Can anyone offer any insight on what we may be doing wrong?  

Hello, Does anyone know a way of changing the behavior of when you click on a IFS URL link embedded within an email to an IFS screen? If the user is already logged into IFS it will still create a new session (prompting user to login unless using SSO) instead of utilizing the existing IFS session they have open. I want to prevent to attached document in Purchase requisiton head. How can I do that in document managemant module.

We are trying to find a way to clear the files from the temporary directory that are created when viewing files from within IFS. The reason is when the user goes to open another file from IFS it prompts to replace the file or not. Not a huge deal but when they are opening a number of files at once it is a bit annoying.
