We utilize EDI to receive purchase orders and send invoices for several customers.  We now have a customer who is configured to also utilize EDI for purchase orders and invoices but they do not want to receive credit invoices by EDI they want them manually sent.   At the customer record we have the message setup configured for message class INVOIC and its set to the default. We thought by just unchecking the Method Default IFS would allow us to choose to print the invoice or send the invoice but when the Method Default is checked we can only Send Invoice  which sends it by EDI and prints it storing the PDF in the report archive.  When its unchecked we can only Print Invoice only which actually prints it out and stores the PDF in the report archive.   Do anyone know who to configure IFS so we can choose to Print an invoice or Send it by EDI? Regards,William Klotz

When You make an update in IFS through an excel, is it the possible to overwrite the currently filled value? e.g. We are working on an excel to update the Customs Stat No in the part number records in IFS. We plan to upload the excel in IFS and thereby update the Customs Stat No for all parts in IFS. For the new value from the excel to be updated on the Customs Stat No field in the Inventory Part, does that field has to be empty in IFS? Or can the excel’s Customs Stat No overwrite the old number?

I want to see more details in the drop down menu for few of my LUsIs there an way to update record selector for the default LUs ?

Has anyone used the Special Events Lobby Element  ‘HR My Employees Special Events List’, Data Source ;HR_MyEmployeesSpecialEvents’.We want to be able to change the Work Jubilee dates from every five years to 2, 5 and 10, but can only find a view ‘Reminder_Special_Events_Sub’ but are unsure how to implement the change. We plan to change the IFS view, but copy and create our own version of the view. Anyone done this before or can give advice on how to changer the Jubilee dates in the Code?

Hi,Currently i'm facing some problems to setup the Country of Origin functionality correct for a Customer of mine.Country of origin can be setup on Inventory Part and Supplier for Purchase Part. Only 1 Country of Origin can be filled at the Inventory Part and that information is then fetched to the Country of Origin of the Supplier for Purchase Part.No i'm with a question where i can't find the Best Practise from IFS perspective. How do i have to handle the Country of Origin in the Inventory Part when a specific part is always purchased at the same supplier, but it's produced in China, Taiwan, Indonesia for that Supplier. So the goods are delivered from the suppliers local warehouse in Europe to the demanding site in Europe, but that Supplier warehouse is supplied by the different factories in the different countries.(i can't define upfront where the goods will be produced when the order is placed to the supplier)How do i handle this in IFS, what is the best practise to setup the Country

Hi all, Business has requested a report of our stock on various locations as per 31-12-2020.Is this available and where in IFS can we extract such report?

When I use IFS10 (or previous) using EE I can use in most cases RMB to Edit > Copy Object. Next go to another environment and use RMB > Edit > Paste Object. It uses the clipboard functionality. However if I want to do something similar in IFS Aurena (Cloud), for one there is no RMB as this is now a command button. I didn’t see anywhere the RMB > Edit version in Aurena. How can one still copy data across environments? What would be an easy to use solution?

Hi Guys Wondering if someone can help me with a data migration query.Scenario:As a part of Customer data migration, i am also looking to migrate Address types (Pay, Delivery and Document which is coming from view- CUSTOMER_INFO_ADDRESS_TYPE)  Created a migration job to insert new Customers,  Addresses and Address types (third highlighted view as below)  Migration job works fine and creates first default value i.e. Pay   But to pass other two default values (Delivery and Document) I am replacing Pay with other two one- by-one and running the same job few times. Is there any easier way to pass all three value once so that i don’t have to run the same job thrice? Thanks in advance/D

Hello, I have been configuring work guidelines with the Subtask functions and I am looking to add some automation if possible. Essentially my goal is to attach a media image of a part to a routing work guideline and create a Subtask Sign Off requirement that the attached media be viewed. I am curious if it is possible to automatically launch an attached media image, or to enforce that a user view the image? I was not able find anything in the IFS help or on the community regarding this capability. Below is an example of the attached media image on Shop Floor Workbench I am hoping to have opened automatically. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

How do I print out multiple shop order works instructions. E.g. all instructions for shop orders created by ‘HA’ today? Preferable without any print dialogs.

Hi, I created a Custom Field in the LU IncomingInvoice which returns the Coordinator Name based on the PO Reference. But there could be multiple PO References separated with a semicolon. When that is the case IFS returns no value. Is it possible to solve this issue, so that IFS returns multiple values when there are multiple PO References. Please see the screenshots below. Arguments:v.company, v.po_ref_numberSelect Statement: SELECT t.cf$_coordinator_name FROM Purchase_Order_cfv t WHERE t.company = :COMPANY AND t.order_no =:PO_REF_NUMBER Kind regards,Simon

Hi,The issue comes when printing the Bold ‘5’ characters. The BOLD character '5' is coming out as a square. It’s coming when using the language Chinese. This is how the font mapping looks; I had a doubt whether this is due to the font SimHei, which is used to map with Arial. Will this be a result of not supporting font properties (Bold, Italic...) by SimHei? The version is IFS Applications 75 SP6. But the issue is, it only display squares for Bold ‘5’ character. Also the issue will come time to time and it’s automatically fixing according to the customer which is strange. Could you please help me to solve the issue? Is this something related to font mapping or font installations? Or could this type of a situation occur due to some issue in the middleware? Or is this related to cache? Thanks and Best Regards,Thilani

Hi, In our warehouse, the amount in stock is of a part is a number with decimals. The UoM of this part is PCS, which is defined as an integer. The decimals are caused by an invertion factor on the sales. The client order a volume, but we fill this volume with pieces. The client can order a non-rounded number, e.g. 2.4L, which then converts to 13.4 PCS (for example). However, we never ‘cut’ the pieces. In this case, we will supply 13 pieces. Or 14, that actually doesn’t matter that much. But how can we avoid that IFS displays the not-rounded number? Thank you!

Hi All,I need some assistance from the wider audience, to figure out a way in Aurena to connect documents to line level items. Background - Apps 10 upd 9 (going on to 11 pretty soon), 100% Aurena usage intended , as still in implementation stage some tasks are done in IFS EE.What configurations are required to enable line level document attachments in Aurena? (ex: Purchase Requisition Line)Currently the settings are as follows; How do we attach a document on line level in Aurena ?( ex.Purchase Requisition Lines). When a document is attached while the PR line is select, the document still gets attached to the Purchase Requisition Header section. In IFS EE, we select the PR line that we need the document attached and a drag and drop to the document pane does the job. I can’t find a way to do this in Aurena. Object Transformation doesn’t show up on line level. How can this be enabled. Ex: Purchase Part has a document attached. Object Connection Transformation is enabled to show Purchase Par

We would like to automatically ADD a default Charge Line with Charge Type ‘FREIGHT’ to the Customer Order > Charge tab on Saving the Customer Order Header? What is the best way to go about this?I would think it would be a custom event that fires on a new Customer Order record. BEGIN &AO.CUSTOMER_ORDER_CHARGE_API.NEW__( :p0 , :p1 , :p2 , :p3 , :p4 ); EXCEPTION WHEN &AO.Error_SYS.Err_Security_Checkpoint THEN raise; WHEN OTHERS THEN rollback; raise; END; When done manually, you just add FREIGHT and click SAVE but when I looked at the debug there is a lot more going on with the :p3.   CHARGE_TYPEFREIGHTCHARGE_AMOUNT0CHARGE_AMOUNT_INCL_TAX0CHARGECHARGED_QTY1SALES_UNIT_MEASEABASE_CHARGE_AMOUNT0BASE_CHARGE_AMT_INCL_TAX0STATISTICAL_CHARGE_DIFF0COLLECT_DBINVOICETAX_CODE0TAX_CLASS_IDTAX_CALC_STRUCTURE_IDCUSTOMER_TAX_USAGE_TYPEDELIVERY_TYPEGOODSCHARGE_COST0CHARGE_COST_PERCENTINVOICED_QTY0PRINT_CHARGE_TYPE_DBYPRINT_COLLECT_CHARGE_DBNO PRINTINTRASTAT_EXEMPT_DBFALSEUNIT_CHARGE_DBFALSEORDE

We have a request for implementing an interface between TeamCenter, the PLM system of Siemens with IFS10. Do you have it up and running or have you looked at it. I don’t need full specs here, more a sense of how difficult it would be to prepare such an interface or that it can be bought from a partner or Siemens. Thanks in advance.

I registered a internal direct delivery and now I want to return the material to internal supplier directly. I created a RMA with Returned to Supplier, correctly defined, then release it. But “Register Direct Return to Supplier” RMB is not getting enabled .

Hi, can we create a transport task without reserving stock in apps 10. thanks shahid nawaz

Hi,We are using planning method K (Blow through planning) frequently,  Sometimes the demand of the K-planned parts appears in Inventory Part Availability planning, producing alarms that we have a “Negative Projected Onhand”. Anyone who knows why?

We are using IFS Apps 8 and are considering offering Managers the opportunity to record sickness absence directly into IFS.  Whilst this can be done via Time Card Day, I was wondering if there was an alternative or better screen for this purpose that only offered direct subordinates and not everyone in the organisation, as is the case with some of the HR screens aimed at HR personnel.Having looked at the Absence screen, it seems that you cannot restrict this just to Direct Subordinates unless there is a method that I have not identified.
