A customer of mine (Karachi Shipyards-Pakistan) requests guidance in selecting a FTP server for DOCMAN. Is there any guidelines on specifications of a FTP server? May be on OS, Memory etc. Please share any document you may have on this. Thank you!

Hello We using a CTU Licenses and every time we terminate employee using “terminate employment” function we have to manually find employee in “shop floor employees” and un-tick “workbench user” box to de-activate/remove the CTU Workbench license from use. Is there another way of doing it so that when employees are terminated using “terminate employment” CTU license also could be removed from user shop floor employee account? This is fairly time consuming manual process at the time.

Hello, I have to substring following string, its one column, into three columns to pass arguments in an api to get invoice number.   COMPANY=01^LUMP_SUM_TRANS_ID=2^MIXED_PAYMENT_ID=4637^MIXED_PAYMENT_LEDGER_TRANS_ID=25^ COMPANY=01^LUMP_SUM_TRANS_ID=20^MIXED_PAYMENT_ID=4637^MIXED_PAYMENT_LEDGER_TRANS_ID=1^   Desired result company LUMP_SUM_TRANS_ID MIXED_PAYMENT_ID MIXED_PAYMENT_LEDGER_TRANS_ID 01 2 4637 25 01 20 4637 1       Now you see lump_sum_trans_id has can have 1 or 2 digits and same with Mixed_payment_ledger_trans_id can be 1 or 2 characters. Company and mixed_payment_id is mostly same number of characters.   Previously I used decoded with substring on the assumption that all columns are using same characters….. but now situation is changed. I understand regexp_substr or instr can be helpful but I am lost in it. some expert help will save my day :)   Thanks

Hello, I am trying to delete an Object ID in the Equipment Object Navigator, but to do that I need to delete the PMs associated with the Object ID. I created a few to test some things and now need to delete them. I cannot delete the Work Order or Pm Actions because it is used in Pm Action Calendar Plan. I also cannot edit the calendar because said Pm Actions are Obsolete. They should not have any Time ($$$) associated with them, so why can’t I delete them?

Hi All Does anyone put number of pallets and their dimensions (not volume) onto delivery and invoice paper work, if yes - how do you do this?Cheers, Sarah

Hello,Is anyone familiar with the Business Type field on the Business Opportunity header? Do you know if there is a setting somewhere that allows you to choose either to be the default?  The two values are New and Recurring Do you know if there is any connection between Business Type and any other field that would change it from New to Recurring based on a user action?  Other than the user intentionally selecting Recurring?  It seems to default to New but in some cases it has been set to Recurring.  We’re not sure how it would be set to Recurring since it is hidden for our users. Do you know it’s general purpose?  I have tried to find some description of it’s function in the documentation but haven’t been able to locate that information.  Thank you,Joann

When scheduling a block of shop order operations in sequence, what logic is used to determine the sequence in which the operations are scheduled? Is the final sequence based on prioritization by Order Need Date, Operation Finish Date, Remaining Resource Hours, something else?

Hi All,Is it the standard behavior in Intrastat reporting that Credit Invoices are shown with very less information in the Intrastat lines? In this case the Customer returns are showing with correct full information. (20 - Returned goods and replacement goods). But the Credit Invoice for the return is shown with very less information. The transaction category for this is “16 - Transactions involving actual or intended change of ownership for a consideration (used to denote a credit transaction)”. This seems to be wrong. Thanks

Hi All, I’m trying to match the rental transaction from my PO but the “Matched Rental Transactions...” is disabled, any idea?

Hi All,Having the below error while trying to add a leave request via ‘My absence calendar’ .It is not a permission issue. Any idea would be helpful. Thanks

I have a Crystal Quick report under Customer order view.I have two custom Menus (MenuItem1 and MenuItem2) which prints the same report.MenuItem1 = Print the report with the “Summary” fieldMenuItem2 = Print the report without the “Summary” fieldI have added an Crystal report parameter - Print_SummaryIf Print_summary is true, summary is shown else suppressed. My question is how can I pass a static parameter value True or False to these MenuItem1 or MenuItem2 so that I can show or hide Summary.I do not want user to change the quick report parameter during runtime - that is the reason I use two different menus for the same report.

Certain IT users need access to log in to a nonproduction environment as any arbitrary user.We use LDAP authentication against Active Directory for all our environments. By resetting the user's database password, though, we can allow the system to fail LDAP authentication, then pass database authentication.Under certain circumstances I have yet to fully understand, sometimes logging in as a user this way causes their AD account to get locked. Even after we log out of IFS as that user, the system still attempts AD authentication repeatedly. When this happens, the only solution I have yet discovered is to restart the middleware. Is this preventable? When it happens, is there a less severe solution than restarting the middleware?

We have the old IFS Sales and Marketing (Vendimo) with the VMO_ object names. I’m developing a migration script to move some custom fields to Embedded CRM. How would I query to find multi-choice field values?

Quick question, on other platforms there’s an EXCEPTION JOIN that is exclude rows from Table A that aren’t in TABLE B. What is the equivalent in Orace/IFS?We created a custom table of customers to exclude. So when we report on CustomerOrders we only want orders that don’t have a Customer# in Table B.select order_no,part_no,base_sale_unit_pricefrom CustomerOrderLine colEXCEPTION JOIN Exclude_Customers_Cfv ec on ec.cf$_customer_id = col.customer_idWhere col.contract = 'W'

In what scenario is this screen/feature used? Customer Invoices without customer order Customer Credit Management Cash Book

Hello all!  I have created a custom tab in the Project Navigator that displays the Project Connections (tbwOverviewProjConnDetails) related to the Project.  Is there a way to limit the display on this overview to items with object_type ‘Activity%’?  Is there a way to default the information on this tab to the results of a custom search or something?

Since the cloud managed services options are limited to Oracle file storage (no network) what would be the option of integration via text/csv files with other systems (i.e. HR, Payroll, Projects, Shipping you name it, also cloud managed)? Setting up drop-zones for various integrated systems as Oracle paths brings up another question. How does one post files there, and how does one extract results? There are further limitations in using reverse proxy authentication for that, which does not offer access to oracle port .. and thus any oracle hits  will need to come via local network or VPN. Since I can’t have a VPN with every 3rd party solution providers, how do I bring them to the local network?Hope it makes sense. If it doesn’t, I’ll rephrase :) Please let me know.
