Hi , can anyone tell me  how to update the record in mobile  .when we create a new screen we are giving the primary table and selecting the fields  for the screen but when we enter the data the data is not stored , it just disappears what is the step that i am missing .

During our manufacturing process, we produce scrap. This is anticipated, as it is a result of stamping processes on our shop floor. A part will be stamped out, and the metal skeleton is collected and then sold to a metal scrapping facility. We have been setting this up as a by-product for each type of metal (stainless, copper, etc.). The issue we are running into is that our operators have to manually receive all by-product on the shop order. Is there a way to automatically receive by-product without having an operator need to report it during the Shop Order? Should by-product even be used for this scenario? I believe we needed to use by-product for the financial transaction of selling the scrap material: PN: 123456 produced 10,000 lb of scrap as a result of the mfg process, and it was sold to company XYZ for $6,000. 

Does anyone know how regular expressions work with FSM? As in, how do you specify the (input)value that needs to be validated and how do you specify the ‘Output format’?  There are some examples which sort of make sense, but it is to little to fully understand it.     

We use Inventory Valuation Method = Weighted Average (on Apps9) and we receive inventory parts from a PO and we match the supplier invoice and pay the supplier.  Then the supplier sends us a credit. Our Supplier Invoice Consideration = Transaction Based and we would expect this credit to update the inventory value of the part.  How should this credit be processed?  We have never set up any type of “supplier credit” series but maybe this is possible?

We would like to print a pro forma invoice for a given shipment but the option is grayed out. The shipment is in “Completed” status and we’d either like to print it manually by RMB in the header of the shipment > Print Pro Forma Invoice OR have it as an optional event for the shipment type. The help says that this should be as easy as RMB in the header and clicking Print Pro Forma invoice and the only prerequisites are as follows: The shipment must be in Complete or Closed status before you can print the shipment pro forma invoice. In order to print the customs value it must be manually defined for each customer order line. The customs statistics number will be printed for both inventory and non-inventory sales parts as well as package parts, when defined in the respective inventory part, non-inventory sales part and package part records. The net weight will be printed for both inventory and non-inventory sales parts as well as package parts, when defined in the respective sales

Can anyone please suggest me how i can to database migration from my SQL server FSM 5.7 Database to FSM 6 Database or any other external database. Regarding database migration any sample will be very helpful.

I sent this topic to IFS Support in March, but have not received an answer. Hoping someone maybe can give me a “yes”/”no”:   We use IFS V9. We updated in the Application Base Setup > Enterprise > Site, under the Inventory > General tab, the Picking Lead Time to be 10 days for all sites in Prod. However, if we have to key a short-lead order, we get an "INFORMATION MESSAGE: THE DUE DATE IS EARLIER THAN TODAY'S DATE. EARLIER POSSIBLE DELIVERY DATE IS YYYY-MM-DD" for every line item. We can press OK and bypass the message, and it will let you continue keying, but again - it occurs with every line item, which makes keying more of a task. We are looking for a possible way to disable this message?    

We have the below XML being triggered from a business rule, after commit insert or update on the TASK table.  This XML creates a new address (using a custom view) and updates the address_id of the task.  We sometimes see that,  if there are 2 TASK’s created almost at the same time (with just 1 second delay or less than 1 second delay)  then both the task’s  are updated with the same address id.    The below expression that is updating the address_id returns the same address_id in  both cases.  <address_id xpath_node="//update_address_result[@result_name='update_tmfb_address']/address/address_id" />   However we see in the database that 2 new address_id are created but the both the task’s are updated with only 1 of them.    So basically when we have 2 similar tasks created at the same time then this business rule executes 2 times and the expression “//update_address_result[@result_name='update_tmfb_address']/address/address_id" doesn’t return unique result.  The task ‘s ar

Hallo, I need some help with mWO objects. I have  approximately 8 000 objects serviced by 50 technician. So I want to divide the objects into smaller parts (like service regions) & and have individual access to them. I disable property SuncAllObject on TAS. I (even)  disconnect group push user (IFSSERVICEENGAPP) from the site. Doesn’t work. Every mobile user can see all the objects. What else I should do ? Any idea, please ?

Is it possible to show/hide fields (setControlVisibility) or set some fields as required/not required (setControlRequired) on the FSM Smart Client Screen using Client Script?  I want to set some fields as not required based on the task_type on the TASK screen, so that I do not get the validation error when saving.  If task_type = A set user_def1 as required  else if task_type = B set user_def1 as not required

When in Print Customer Invoices the E-mail Invoice option is greyed out.        The customer record has an email address defined and it is set to default for method. Can someone please advise why this would happen and how to resolve. Thank you.

Hi Experts, As I know, ‘Finished’ & ‘Cancelled’ status WOs are viewed in ‘Historical Work Orders’ screen. But, if you look on the search option for ‘Status’, it shows two more options i.e. ‘END’ & ‘Reopened’ . So, can anyone please let me know the situations of those WOs ??? what are the instances of getting such status for WOs ???   Thanks, Thieuban

Hello!  I’ve been trying to clear down some operational transactions in order to change the base for cost/revenue elements from code part A project to another code part (with no function)  I have cleared all the transactions and there are no errors.  But when I try to change the base I still get an error: “It is not possible to change the base cost/revenue element as there are non-transferred PCM transactions”  I’ve been trying to find out what PCM transactions are and where they are with no luck -  Does anyone have any ideas on where this may be ?  The Error Message Any suggestion is welcome!! Hi, I’m starting to use IFS Application. It’s a Windows Client running on Windows 10 Professional. I was reading the on line help and doing the excercises proposed on the e-learning page. When working with the toolbar, I used the contextual menu to hide diferent toolbars. Suddenly, I hided all the toolbars and I can not find the way to show the toolbar again. Don’t laugh - I know, 2003, yeah!   Does anyone have a copy of the Data Import executable that allows you to load in new records, and update existing data in IFS2003. I cannot remember the name of it. Since my laptop rebuild, I have lost it! IFS support didn’t want to know. Thanks in advance.   TIm

Hello In FSM 5.7 mobile, when attaching photos, you can only take the photo and save within FSM but not to your camera roll. This is an issue as there have been many instances of the file getting corrupted and unable to retrieve it since it only exists in the attachment database.   Is there a way to allow the app to save these photos to the camera roll as well? I know users can upload there own photos but you have to navigate through android root menus and that is not user friendly

We have certain windows that currently do not allow us to attach documents. I am looking to enable attachment in the windows but do not know how too. How would I do this in IFS 9?

We want to analyze in which lobbies (and quick reports and events) a specific database field is being used, but we can’t find the queries used by lobbies somewhere in the database. Can anybody tell me, where these information can be found?

When I release a customer order that has a manufactured order line, it creates a shop order.   One of the custom fields on ShopOrd has a default value, but no record gets created on SHOP_ORD_CFT, so the default value isn’t set when the shop order gets created.   How do I ensure the SHOP_ORD_CFT record gets created when the shop order is created from a customer order?

When generating the tasks from a contract using PM Contract Manager i get an error in the run log the error states “There is no row at position -1.”   i re-created the contract and the results are the same. any idea what this is referring to?    

Hi, My client plans to share Ifs.Fnd.Explorer.application runtime manifest file for all our users instead of creating shortcut to the IFS landing page due to internal IT reasons.  Question - Every time we apply IFS Updates or Deliveries to the Application Instance, do we need to copy the latest manifest file again across client PCs or this isn’t required as the ClickOnce file is just a pointer which launches the updated IFS Applications IEE client automatically? I am 99% sure we don’t need to copy the file again but want to be 100% certain before we follow this approach. Thanks in advance!
