Is there a way in Apps8 to put automatically a generated report into Document management and attach it to the business object ?When printing a purchase order, we would like to have the report created in the docman and attach automatically it to the concerned logical unit. And after that, how to send by email the attached documents ? For example, the drawing is attached to the inventory part. With the object connection transformation, the drawing is coming in the attachments of the PO. But how to include this document in the email ?

Hi,The error was recorded in the error log at the end of the installation of a build for Apps8 version. Has anyone worked out a way to report on concurrent clockings. e.g. Employee AShop Order 123    Started:  07/04/2021  10:00  Finished:  07/04/2021  16:00Shop Order 124    Started   07/04/2021   10:00  Finished:  07/04/2021 16:00Shop Order 125    Started   07/04/2021    10:15  Finished:  07/04/2021  12:15 Report would currently show  (6 + 6 + 2) = 14 hoursWhereas, we would want it to show 6 hours as he has only taken  6 hours (10:00 - 16:00) Any ideas on how I could achieve this. Thanks

When Shop order is created through project Delivery, operation number is missing on the shop order material tab. User has to update the operation number manually on the Material tab after shop order creation. Is this the standard behavior of the IFS Application or is there a way that we can make the application fetch the relevant operation number?

Hi, You can add a note on a supplier invoice in the menu Supplier Invoices Analysis (right mouse button > Notes). I want to display the note text (‘test’ in the screenshot below) in Business Reporter, therefore I need to create a new field (Relations for Facts) with a sql statement. But I do not know the correct sql statement. Is there someone who can help me?   

I am trying to add a user to a new profile. Because I have some custom field only available under a different profile. I know I can edit the personal profile. But I have more than 20 users that need to be add to the profile where I have the custom field. We are currently using IFS9

During investigation of customer's environment revealed that the INACTIVE session count is over 1500 always, Should the INACTIVE session be killed automatically when the idle time expired? Checked the Database profile IFS_INETRNAL which is used for Database users, the IDLE_TIME is set to DEFAULT. Should this be set to UNLIMITED ? Should there be a time on MAX IDLE TIME parameter OR leave as is where it always maintain 1500 odd INACTIVE sessions. This inactive sessions will hold on to resources with no legitimate reason and will create Possible performance issue. Any recommendations/changes needs to stop  INACTIVE session count getting higher values ?

Help,I’ve been doing lots of development on a project that has involved creating bespoke lobbies, all of this has been done in our test environment and is still being tested/developed. However due to a customer requirement our other site has requested that the test system be updated with our live system data asap. So my question is can I export/save the lobbies, data sources and elements I’ve created so that once the test system has been updated i can re import them back in? Thanks

Hello, Does IFS provide a way to set the credit limit a supplier has provided a company similar to the credit limit on a customer record? Our accounting department would like to have IFS enforce a credit limit from a supplier so purchasing can not release purchase orders which would exceed our credit limit with a supplier.   I’ve searched on the supplier record but I could not locate such a field. Regards,William Klotz

Hello,We are using Apps 10 UPD11.  A user is trying to save a search but the Save button is not enabled.  I’ve checked the permission sets but can’t seem to find the missing piece. I can log into the environment as two different users - one user can save the search, one user cannot. Is there something that turns that on/off for a user?  I’d like to figure out which specific object, etc. needs to be granted rather than granting additional permission sets because that may solve this problem but create others by granting undesirable access.  I tried finding the solution in the online documentation but I couldn’t find it there. Thank you!Joann This user can’t save the search  This user can save the search 

Hello to all the Accounting members, we are tying to configure IFS to automatically reverse a GL voucher entry after the first of the month.  This is the classic accrual type of GL entry whereby we make a GL voucher transaction entry in one month and auto reverse it the next month after the actual charges post to the balance sheet.  When creating a manual voucher entry, we do not see anywhere we can set a reversal.  We are on IFS APPS9, UPD16.  How can this be achieved in IFS?  There has to be a way as this is Accounting 101.Thanks!Mark

Hello, I would like some help to understand how postings works for Service and maintenance module (IFS V8).I need to use operations and time reports on work orders but the use of these functions create postings on which I have some issues. After authorizing postings, when I want to change WO status to Finished, I get an error message : " There is no project cost/revenue element to code part value ". I tried to Exclude from project follow-up the involved code part value but I had another issue when I changed WO status "Project Connections cannot be created for this account". I would like to know how to configure postings/accounts in order to finish work orders with operations and time report ? Is it required to set up a project cost/revenue element to use postings in Service and maintenance module ?Also, I don't understand what is the link between work orders and project because in my tests I never linked work orders with project activities, Regards,Nicolas
