Hello,When an end user uses the Count per Inventory Part screen to count in an inventory part for the 1st time, the define cost structure screen pops up upon saving of the record.You are then required to select the cost bucket (e.g. average purchase price) and cost/unit value. Once you click OK, where does the cost/unit value get written to within IFS?We want to make this field visible to users on the count result per inventory part screen via a custom field to aid the users. I have turned on debug during this process, and it appears to write to temporary_part_cost_detail_tab table. However we are not sure if there a task which needs to be run to move it to the final screen or what is the correct process?Please can you provide guidanceNote: We are using IFS Apps 8.RegardsShaun

Hi - I have  a report rule created on Apps 10 upd 9, which creates a document revision from the report and create an attachment - in my example for Sales Quotation.But for some reason the attached document is not visible in the attachment from the object itselfHave anyone experienced this before?attaching some examplesMy key refs on the report rule are:  QUOTATION_NO=[@ORDER_QUOTATION_REP/QUOTATION_NO]I have a sneaky feeling it is relating to the key refs, but I am not sure how to correct it, and in the document object table, it seems to find the quotation alright..(ref attachments) 

I am trying to delete a User that I’ve created, but am getting this error:The Fnd User “user.name” is used by 1 rows in another object (User Finance).I also get the following error when trying to remove the User from the Company:The User Finance “user.name” is used by 1 rows in another object (Purchase Authorizer).The Company is the only thing I can see left assigned to the User (which as above, it won’t let me remove):Running a database query against the USER_FINANCE view returns a result also: Other things I’ve triedI have deleted their Purchase Authorizer Substitute record Verified not in Purchase Authorization Basic Data screen Verified not in Invoice Posting Authorizers screenIs there other screens I need to check and delete the user from?

Hi,We have an issue that the currency rate was incorrectly entered and all customer invoices for one day are now registered with wrong rate. The customer invoices have also been transferred to GL so it is not possible to just change rate on the customer invoices any longer.Have anyone had same issue and could this possibly be fixed in the database tables? Or is the only way to make RMAs and new invoices...that will be quite some job so would very much appreciate some fast response to my question if someone has some ideas. Thanks in advance,Marika Solgård-Olli 

Our Customer wants tereplace in description sign ‘_’ by sign ‘ ‘ (space). He uses RM function Find and replace entering value source sign: \_ destination value ‘ ‘ (space - blank sign) But in result system replaces sign ‘_’ and next one sign.. In result there is fragmentally distroyed description. e.g. ‘A_BEND’ is replaced to ‘A END’  Is it an error or Customer should use another way? Please answer my question if someone knows an answer

Could someone please advice is there a way to setup the tax code in a way that it is automatically fetched to the lines of the “Manual Supplier Invoice” based on the tax code defined in the “Supplier for Purchase Part” window, rather than based on the tax code defined in the "Supplier” window. (In IFS Apps 8)Currently, in the “Manual Supplier Invoice”, the tax code is fetched based on the “supplier” screen data. Please see the below screenshots. We all aware that we can use “inventory locations” window or “Warehouse navigator” window in IFS to create inventory locations manually.  But in the practical context, where there is a requirement to initially create a warehouse in the application with thousands or millions of inventory locations, how this can be done as a bulk?Many Thanks,-Lahiru-

Hi all, When a user is connected to a Person ID, reference screen shot below: the system automatically makes the above Person as the Main Contact Representative in Customer window since, the user is also connected in CRM & SRM Basic Data– Representative window.  Customer Window:  But in Customer window CRM Info tab, there is a separate Main Representative connected.  Please let me know why is the application picking the logged in user as the Main Representative despite Main Representative is already connected in CRM Info tab. Is this is a bug?, if not please explain the functionality.  Thank you. 

When I try to authorize my employees, I got the error 'Access Denied. You cannot authorize records within Time Pers Diary logical unit.'. I used TIME_PERS_DIARY_AUTH attribute in my access role. I can see time reporting and can do confirm, but cannot authorize. What am I missing or any ideas where else to check?

Within PSO mapping, we can see the home location of the technician as an icon on the map. Is there a way to get it to show the latest location (latest GPS fix) on the map as a large visible icon, instead of showing the home location?

Hello,  I am trying to add our company information(COMP_ADDR_1, COMP_ADDR_2...) to the Customer Invoice report. The report seems to be pulling in some of the address but not all so I am trying to track it down where I will need to input that data. We have many different sites with a lot of different addresses so I am trying to pull all this information in automatically from IFS. Here is where the company address information is located but does anyone know where this pulls from inside  of IFS? I don’t see any type of company addresses located on the Customer Order. I’m also not very good at trudging through the api as I found the field in there but it didn’t make much sense to me. Anyway, as always thank you for all the help. Eli Williams  

Hi,I have created a persistent type custom field in a newly created customized form. After publishing the custom field successfully, When i do reload configuration, no action is being performed either page is  not refreshing or Page is not reloading with new configurations.Hence I could not see the custom field in the page.Please suggest solution. Hello all,I have a report rule in Apps10 Upd 8 which creates a document revision from the report and creates an attachment - in my case for Customer Invoice:The document class used in my report rule is setup to store the file in an FTP server: When I run the report, the document revision is created and attached to the customer invoice, as per expectations.However, the PDF file is not transferred to the FTP server. Then, it is impossible to open the file from the document revision.I have checked the logs on the FTP server, but no connection is opened, and there is no trace of file transfer.Note: if I change the EDM repository type for this document class from FTP to Database then the file is correctly added to the document revision and I can consult it. Does anyone already face this issue? Hi,When we have an employee that is very active in the system, so their name appears against Service Orders, contracts, sales rep, service agent, field quotations etc. and they leave the company.  What is the best way to go about “replacing” them with a different employee and/or just deactivating them? If we try to deactivate we will get a message to say that cannot be done because they are the SA on SVxxxxxx.  After fixing that SV, you get the next and so on.  It can take forever.  Is there any tool available where you can run to remove employee A and replace with employee B or anything like that?  We have V14.5.  We have had problems in the past when an inactive employee is set as a primary sales rep and we try to renew a contract, for example.

Hi Everyone, The below situation can be tested in the Apps 10 Test LKP environment. When the login password has expired, and whilst changing it we often get the below error message. “Error while changing password. Something went wrong while changing password”Since this error message is not particular, it is difficult for users to identify what’s wrong with the combination that they’ve selected.Ex: If a Symbol is missing from the newly entered password combination can we get a more meaningful error message that explain user to add a Symbol for the combination.     So, my question is can we retrieve a more specific error message for the aforementioned situation? If so, can this be setup through the oracle profile verification? Also, I’ve referred Oracle profile foundation document but didn’t find an answer.  Thank You.
