When adding a resource to a task in Prepare Work Order on clicking save the user is receiving the following error message:Allocated To 71992 is not connected to Contractor 10310 in Work Task 17900. Any ideas on how to resolve.Thank you.

Hi All We are on IFSv9 (Oracle 12c) and have yet to utilise the In-Memory functionality. Our database is roughly 500Gb in total size, with 470 global users. We have 300Gb of free RAM on our physical database host waiting to be used. I would love to know if you have made use of In-Memory. Did you see a measurable improvement on performance within IFS and more importantly if there are known pitfalls I should avoid. Would love to hear your experience of this feature, good and bad. Hello experts, In document management, can we set a certain time in days for step approval. Lets suppose, 5 people need to approve a document one by one. Can we set a limit on each step that each one shouldn’t take more than 5 days to approve,. If five days are crossed, it moves to another person. In case, the approver doesn’t either approve or reject due to any reason, how can we move to the next approver. Like Forward or bypass etc.Main idea is to restrict approve to prevent delay in approval process.Note: Using Group is not a option here, client uses individual as document approvers.Please advise. Regards

Hello Community, I am wondering if anyone has experience on RFID Tracking and knows if IFS is capable of utilizing RFID for fully automated asset tracking. The Idea is that we would want to Track Racking, Bins, Containers, Boxes etc.

We have created a Voucher Template for uploading gl across multiple companies.  On a manual multi-company voucher, there is a posting control that will debit/credit the inter-co gl’s.  This is not happening when we upload via External File Assistance.  Currently, it’s putting a debit to one company and a credit to the other company and the external voucher is out of balance since the inter-co offset did not occur. Is there a step we are missing on the template set up for a multi-co voucher? 

I wonder if somebody has done automation where a process needs to export a document to a shared drive?Any idea how to do this? Is there a tool in IFS to do the export?Thanks,JL 

We use Mobile edge on an Ipad for our actual astea v10 live environment. How can we connect to our Astea test v15 environment on the same Ipad so an engineer can continue using his device for daily operations and also test in the astea test v15 environment on the same device?

Hello all, I have recently noticed an access issue that I cannot seem to resolve. Currently, our Logistics group is setup with Query access to the Inventory Locations screen in IFS. They are able to access and view locations, however, they cannot print a barcode label. When a user RMBs on a given location, the option does not appear in the menu. I have run debug and checked the Permission Set, but I do not see where this access is granted. I still want to prevent them from adding/editing locations, but I would like for them to be able to print barcode labels as need. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,When generating limit year, initial value field is not available to enter if we use Carried Forward Absence type.  However, sometimes for some employees it is other way around that allows a Carry Forward absence type to limit generate but it does not allow normal absence type to limit generate where initial value field is blank. What is the logic behind? Why ‘Carry forward type’ some times allows to enter initial value field and sometimes not allow? Where to fix it?Please advise. Thanks in advanceRegardsNimesh

After a place merge in FSM6U9, the place record gets updated with a new modified_dttm and will be sent to the device in 24 hours (currently configured interval for that sync rule) or if someone clicks on sync now.- place_person doesn't get an updated modified_dttm and therefore will not be sent by the sync rule next time it runs in 3 hours or even if someone clicks on Sync Now. Would this be a limitation of the software or a bug?

I set ‘Replicate’ at Customer > Order > Misc Customer Info > Replicate Doc Text. Added Doc text at CO line with the output type CO. At Order release, Shipment is created. Shouldn’t the Doc text be inherited from CO line to the Shipment line? Or is it only for the intersite orders?Nor can I manually add Doc Text to the Shipment Line. Did I miss anything? The goal is to have Doc Text in the line of the report Shipment Delivery Note.

Hi,I would like to use the External voucher assistant to upload entries that would hopefully post to multiple companies.When creating the file template I can’t seem to create a “voucher company” column ID, which would hopefully posting to another company & drive the corresponding posting controls related to inter-company activity. Is this possible? Am I going about this the wrong way?Best Regards,Dennis M.  

We have a request form a customer, to have separate timeouts for different users or user groups.Customers exact use case: “ Regular users such as Finance people, to have a timeout of 60 minutes. The people using scanners and other transactions in the plant and warehouse to have the timeout set to unlimited.”I tried the option in oracle user groups in an App10 environment by setting the Idle Time property for a set of users(for a oracle user group), but it seems not working as we expect. Any workaround has  identified for this setup?  

Hi, I want to add documents in Attachments of Purchase Order to the email which is generated from Print Dialog. user will enter email address from print dialogI was able to do this in PDF_REPORT_CREATED but I want to attach documents to the mail which generates from the print dialog box (community post ).Please let me know if someone has done this before as a configuration or as a customization. Thank you in Advance!

The announced feature from the 5 in 5 sessions regarding aurena client session tracking is not available in the currently available demo.this should be available in the IFSIAM, Client Sessions. But it is not there.Announced but forgotten? This had been requested by some customers now and would really be beneficial.Please check on this issue

Hi,I am trying to improve on my understanding of IFS fundamentals and have been reviewing teh differences between the following voucher posting fields: company, site & Interco.I believe “company” determines where exactly the voucher will be posted.All of our companies only have one site so I usually always let company = site.But what is the purpose of Interco code part? Best Regards,Dennis M.

Recently Upgraded to APPS10 and we have a few part configuration statuses in Parked State. How can we change the cofiguration status once the Shop Order is Started? We can view the configuration but we can’t receive it into inventory, we get an error. How can we process the shop and receive the part?Thank you.   

i have a requirement to setup one part as Manufacturing part X in Site A with sub components 1,2 and 3 and this will be sold to SITE B , in site B it will be received as Inventory or purchase part. How can we do this . How can site B request for Site A for item X.What are the steps for setting up a Manufactuing part or Engineering part in Site A.1.Create product structure.2.Routing3.How the cost will get rolled up to Item X which is the parent part or Manufactuing part in Site A. Kindly advice. Regards Arif
