Solved

Hello. I am hoping someone can advise or give some direction on how to handle this situation in IFS. Parent company received an order. Billing for the order will be done by parent and depends on milestones achieved. Parent sets up the customer order. Most of the work will be done by subsidiary. Part of the revenue will be earned by parent. The rest of the revenue will be earned by the subsidiary. Subsidiary sets up an intercompany order (customer is parent) and project. The amount of revenue to be recognized by parent each month depends on the percentage of completion of the project in the subsidiary. Parent will not recognize cost.  Subsidiary recognizes revenue each month based on percentage of completion. Cost recognized is actual cost. After subsidiary completes project, it ships to the customer. It will then bill the parent. For example,Assume the parent received a $100 order.  Parent sets up customer order for $100. Revenue allocated to parent is $20. Revenue allocated to subsidi

Hi,Could you let me know regarding the provider used by IFS to determine the geocoding?

Hi, as it is shown even though there are no null value, it throws the error. What is the problem? Anyone have experienced that before? BR

We were told that there would be a 2 year roadmap or at least a statement of intent made available for review.Over time this seems to have dropped to a ‘roadmap’ covering the actual release and the next one.The last one I can find covers 23R2 and 24R1, how can I find what is due 24R2, 25R1&2 and ideally 26R1?

I have created some custom fields on the Project screen (using Apps 10 UPD17).  I have added them to the Margin tab and all looks ok. However, when I go to the General tab the fields are also showing there and hiding some necessary fields, is there a way for them appearing there as well ?? Thanks

When creating an order line i get this error, the line does have Ownership, when i check the ownership on line it is correctly picked as  “Customer Owned” and Owner is also picked correctly but the Owner Name is not picked. After re-selecting the Owner from the LOV i can save the order line. But why does it not pick the Owner name when order line is created. Please assist. (the Customer accs were newly migrated)

Hi,Group Consolidation is installed. However still ‘Consolidation’ code part function is not shown in IFS Cloud. Any idea? It was there in Apps10 but not in cloud. Please advise. Thank you.

Hi, Is there a setting to limit the Employee IDs shown in Time Clock window. Users needs to see only his/her employee id.  Can this be controlled through the access role? if so how? Thank you.

I have imported the "fr" translated package and it has translated all the fields except the custom field. I created a custom field to display on the "Customers" list screen. After that, I added a translation for this field. However, even after refreshing the language cache, the translation is still not appearing on the screen.

Is there any “master list” of fields for all pages/modules in IFS Cloud with the field’s purpose?  Or at the very least, the following:Inventory Part/Part Maintenance/Part Record Customer/ Customer Maintenance/ Customer Record Supplier/Vendor Maintenance/ Supplier RecordAs we prepare for our 3rd wave of implementation, our top level decision makers would like this information in order to make sure the proper people are assigned responsibility for these items, and I’m just curious if anything already exists to help this.

We are running the All Parts Cost Calculations for all active parts in a specific site, but we are having situations where the costs are not updating. I am having to go back to the Parts Cost page and filter on the Calculation Date and then select the ones that haven’t updated and run the calculations manually.  Any thoughts as to why this is happening, or what we can do to have this function properly?

I want to pin some fields in search window in top to Not scroll the search window all the time.Is it possible in IFS?

Hello,W.T. time is being reported for Resource Individuals (RI) in the Res. Nav.  My testing indicates the only way to stop time from being registered for a RI is to “BLOCK” the RI.  Is there a way to use a date instead.  The scenario is Registering time for the past but after the Term date.  Is that possible with W.T. time Reg.?Cheers, Troy

I’m sorry - but can someone explain something to me in the CRM module? I am in the construction business, and when we use the term “Lead” it generally refers to a potential project.  I understand that Lead in CRM terminology is a Company (or person) and a Business Opportunity is the potential project.  What I don’t understand is that if a Lead is a (potential) customer - how can you have a lead that is an existing account? That seems like you are saying I am entering a potential new customer that is also an existing customer.  I feel that I am misunderstanding some sort of key concept.  Thank you!

We created a process flow which updates installed items. This is working well but we noticed that the change is only visible in Mobile after the user reinitializes . If the installed item is changed in Backoffice, the change is visible in Mobile almost immediately. The item.last_change_date field is is updating automatically in both cases. Is there a trick to getting the process flow change to download to Mobile?

Hi,As the original topic (Quick Reports as REST Datasource Disappearing) was closed I needed to ask in this form.@hansend, @ReinierHulsman, @Thomas Langenberg, @DHCRADPA : Have you managed to find some stable solution since - maybe with a later Service Pack (UPD23 is the current one)? What I am primarily interested in:Is the reason for QRs as REST datasource becoming unavailable still mystic or is it just because underlying structures were changed? In the second case I dare to rely on them, otherwise we need to find another solution.

Hi all,We have a Client with IFS App10 implemented for a single Site that uses Rental Contracts. Now other Sites are being created for the same Company and there is a need to distribute the Serial Objects to the new Sites. The Core Application is incapable of handling moving of a serial objects between sites/companies while maintaining same object ID/serial No. However, this is a customer request that we must fulfill.Changing the site may affect functional flows and analysis data such as financial transactions, material transactions, PM actions, WO and Historical WO.There are some limitations to overcome when delivering a solution for this issue such as, Since the site is a crucial part of the key for an object and its ownership, changing it might loss the tracking information of a serial object.I would like to know if anyone has already created a solution through Events or even Customization and can share this solution because the Client needs an urgent solution and a customization req

Hi Team GreetingsWe have created zero amount instant invoice, status for it is “PostedAuth”.However, we cannot create a offset for it as on all screens relating to a customer payment entry (mixed payment and customer payment) payment with zero amount is not allowed in IFS.  Now, if we want to change the status to “PaidPosted” for this zero amount instant invoice. Is there any work around or a way to make to “PaidPosted”? Thanks & Regards

Hi,Is there any possibility to copy the newly created projects in subsidiary companies to Master company ?. Copy to company is not possible if the code part is connect to a code part function.

Good afternoon After the service contracts are created, what is the best way to keep track of what you need to invoice? Is there a screen where I can see what do I need to invoice next? As a flow, I was thinking that the employee that creates the Service Contract to Generate Invoice Lines for Preview for all Invoice Periods, then the billing clerk can go to Invoice Plan Details screen, select all invoices that don’t have an Invoice number attached, and Create Invoices based on the Invoice From Date. Any other ideas? Thanks,Cora
