Hello, I am looking to see if there is a way within IFS to automatically initiate a Transport Task between two Sites. Essentially, I have a part that is produced in Site A. However, we store it in Site B. I was hoping that this could be accomplished with Putaway Zones and Remote Warehouses, but it appears that will only work in a single Site. I already have the Inventory Part record setup for Site B, so the act of manually transferring parts works, but an automated Transport Task would be much more efficient than having users monitor the locations and I do not see Distribution Orders as being a practical solution for this (PP, SFPP, etc.). Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The IFS APP 10 environment is currently on UPD 19. I would appreciate advice on the next UPD that needs installation. Do I need to install all the latest UPDs one by one, released after UPD 19, or just the latest UPD 26?

We are using Apps 10 and moved to Aurena 18 months ago.Our Human Resources department are wanting to use IFS for storing information about benefits so I started to investigate the Benefit Management area in IEE. I have now looked for the equivalent screens in Aurena and can’t see them. Is the Benefit Management area being withdrawn from Aurena/Cloud? We will be moving to cloud later this year so I would also be interested if there was new functionality for this. ThanksPaul

Hello, We have supplier invoices dated 31/01 however the invoices are being pulled in for payment at the end of March instead of the end of February with the payment terms of 30 days end of month due to there only being 29 days in February this year.Is there any rule that can be created to capture this and automatically change the payment date without it being manually changed? Thanks.

Hi, I am trying to set a RIGHT TRIM function in an external file template (bank statement), but it doesn’t seem to work when it is set according to the template shown in the LOV. My objective is to pick the first 100 characters of the uploaded field.I get an unpack error as below“ExtFileFunctionHandler.VALUEERROR2: Value error on column no TRANSACTION_INFO1 function no 10”  Any idea how to set this function detail? This is on Apps10 Upd13Thank you Pamith

Hello All,I am working for a US based client and IFS CLOUD version is 22R1.I am getting the below error (attached screenshot) when I am trying to close the work Task.NOTE: In this error message the WO number is also passed but it is null in the error message.The Problem is WO is already connected to the Project.I am trying to debug it but I don't have backend Admin IFSAPP access (I have IFSINFO user access, but I cannot see the implementation of database objects), as this is not a Build place environment and also not able to replicate in build place.I have requested IFS also to provide the admin access of that environment so that I can debug the error and correct the data from back end (if not from front end) but IFS declined the request as it is IFS managed cloud environment.I have the trace for the error but not able to find the actual root cause.Please Advise….

Hi IFS community,I am using IFS version 8.I received an inquiry from our finance team regarding GL year end closing balance and opening year balance. Need your advice on below inquiry:After transferring the year end closing balance (2023) to new year opening balance (2024), should there is a need to perform adjustment to year end closing balance (2023), will the adjustment made reflected automatically to the opening balance (2024)? Hi Team,If a customer is converting two Purchase Req Lines to a Purchase Order from the “Purchase Requisitions Lines” window, the expectation is that if the Supplier is the same for both PO Reqs that IFS would create a single Purchase Order with both lines.They are not always experiencing the Purchase Req Lines consolidating in this behavior. Sometimes when there are two Purchase Requisition Lines for the same Supplier it is creating two Purchase Orders instead of a single PO.Any thoughts why this might be?Thank you,Alex

Hi,What is the Custom Type in the User Task for?I couldn’t find any information about it.  

We have 2 sites. Site 1 in the UK and Site 2 in Europe. Site2 works off the UK/Site 1 server and Print Agent.  Using IFS10 IEE.  When site 2 prints through IFS it can take along time (2-5mins) which is too long. Site 1 takes <30seconds  Please can anyone tell me what I need to do to speed up the printing at Site 2 please.  

I have product that is MS Scheduled as it is forecasted.  It does not have a ‘buildable’ structure as it is only made as by-product of other parts.  There are plenty of Shop Orders that will make this part as by-product but they are not showing up as Supply in IPAP.

Is it feasible to install the .NET print agent alongside the current Java print agent initially and transition all print agents to the .NET version? Thanks, 

Hi, I use the suggest SA today (29/01 for a SV Opendate 28/01  ETA date : 29/01/2024 16:00I run a search for tomorrow. I have a list of results.I select the first Tech in the list   The SV was assigned to the tech at 00h00 on the 30/01 I assume that if I make a search for a specific date/time in the future, Alliance should assign the activity since this start date/time and not at the begining of the day.Thanks and regards ​​​​​​​anthony

Hi, For the Suggest SA function : when you use this functionality with the DSE :Is the result displayed by the suggest SA  in relation with the tour built by the DSE (trial status) ? 1/ For example, with the screenshot attached, Alliance don’t suggest “ERIC”  between 8 to 10 hours ? 2/ For example, with the screenshot attached, Alliance consider that  “ERIC”  will be on the customer site to calculate the cost and distance (kms/hour) between 8 to 10 hours ? or the suggest SA has no link with the DSE : To calculate the cost and distance for The Suggest SA we only consider the SV on the allocated/assigned/finished status and the geolocation of the Technician.Regards anthony

Hi, I couldn’t find a resource containing the information that we’re looking for, so I thought I’d log a question here.Our organization has a development and a production environment. We were wondering if there is a way for changes done in production to be automatically replicated on the development environment? In this case, we’re mostly wondering about changes that technicians may apply to singular Items, user profiles, etc. It would be great if those changes could be replicated in development automatically. Is there a feature for this? Does anyone have this set up? We are currently on version 11.2.3, soon to be updated to 11.7.2.
