Service (Touch Apps, MWO, MRO)

We are exploring the use of Route Work Orders. I have created a route list, ran calendar generation to create my list of route work orders.The status of the Route Actions defaults to Completed under the ‘Route Report in Status’ column. Logic would suggest this should default to not completed. Is there a way to do this?

The issue faced by users is that they have to save after every part # entered on the customer order. This is time-consuming and  is very inefficient from users perspective.Do anybody know the most efficient way to do this without clicking on save button for every part # entered to the Customer Order?Thanks

Is it possible to have an activity visible in PSO without it actually taking up the availability of the resource? Our customer is interested in having some visibility of certain events on a resource during a specific time-frame, but does not want to prevent that resource from being assigned to other activities during that time. The idea is that this would be visible in PSO while still having the resource available at that time.One thing I could think if was fixing all activities to date/time and to the resource, effectively forcing overlaps in the schedule. Would there be another way to achieve this without impacting the flexibility of the schedule?If there is any other way to do this without using an activity (but it still being visible in PSO) that would also be great.

Hi All,  When associating a Technical Class to a Type designation within Service and Maintenance, I was sure that the values for the attributes on the class could be independent from each other.As a simple scenario, lets say we have two motors, and we have a characteristic that captures the colour of the motor connected to the technical class.  The class is connected to the Type Designation within Functional/Serial object. I would expect from prior experience that we can capture the colour of two independent objects which have the same Type Designation. Motor A;  Type Designation: Motor,  Motor Colour: Red Motor B;  Type Designation: Motor,  Motor Colour: BlueBoth items are motors and have the ability to record values against the attributes defined in the class.  What I am seeing in IFS APPS 10 UPD8 is that the attributes are no longer independent from each other.  If I change Motor A to be red, then all mot

Hello,In the Service and Maintenance module in Apps9 the ‘Prepare Work Order’ screen and ‘Report In Work Order’ screen both use the ActiveSeparate logical unit and the ACTIVE_SEPARATE_UIV view.However the field Err_Class is only available in the Report In screen, is it possible to pull this field into the Prepare screen as an insertable and updatable field, and if yes how? The values for Err_Class are determined by another table, the WorkOrderClassCode logical unit, not sure if this impacts what I want to do.Thanks Sarah

Is it possible to prevent work orders tied to pm actions from being cancelled?

Hello, by design the work order lifecyle is very open, allowing many transitions (forward, backward) to simplify and speed up the management of work orders.However for companies which would like to go through a more consistent and streamlined process across multiple entities doing maintenance, is there any way to set up the allowed and forbiddent transitions (e.g. it could be mandatory to have a work order always going through “Observed” status?). No BDR seem to drive this capability. Thanks!

I have requested 5parts from the inventory. Now it would be received by me. But of the 5 parts I need only 3 and rest 2 I need to reject due to certain reason. For the serialized parts I checked on the 3parts and rest 2 I didn't checked on the Receiving Unit list. Then confirmed it. But I can see all are received.How can we reject the same. Can anyone help on this?

Hi,I am unable to find where are the permissions to enable list of values for Maintenance Priority on Active Work Orders screen.All MAINTENANCE_PRIORITY, MAINTENANCE_PRIORITY_API, ACTIVE_WORK_ORDER_API.Get_Priority_Id and dlgDynamicLov have been enabled to the user but the List of values option is still hidden. We have recently upgraded from Apps 8 to Apps 10 and we did not have this issue on Apps 8.

We are currently running Apps8, mWO on-prem. This means we cannot use the app from the Microsoft Store (as we were informed from the very beginning it is intended for Cloud only) and instead we have to use the executable file from the TAS.Windows changed their rules for sideloaded apps. It used to be controlled with a simple setting in Developer Mode. We are no longer able to install the .exe file from our latest images which have a version that is after 1909.Is there an updated .exe file that accounts for this Microsoft change?

Hi,I have started work with a client who uses IFS but has not leveraged the benefits of some of the key modules. They need to introduce a system of document management that provides more conformity in terms of access, creation, authorisation, release and version control etc. Document Manager would appear an ideal solution but they only seem to use it as a repository at the moment for parts of the business.Is there in the community any resources in terms of video/demos/overview docs that I can access while we try to track down a UK reference site to gain some furtherinsight? ThanksRob

Is there anyway to remove the ‘Continue’ button that appears on mobile survey statements?  We have many statements in a row (too much text for one statement) and dont want to have to click ‘Continue’ on each one.  In FSM5.7 you didnt need to do this, they all just appeared at once.
