Tip: Be careful when adding enumeration fields.

Custom fields are used for more than one reason in many screens.I wanted to give you information about the situation that may be overlooked in the process operation in the use of Enum (Enumeration), which is one of the current use cases, and it will be difficult to find the error in the future.I will try to explain the current situation in detail by following the process steps. 1.) First, let's look at the values of an enum field added in a standard way. 2. Error :Row(Person(xxx), was changed after it was selected. reselect and try again.

Getting the error when updating the change password field for the person record.Error :Row(Person, was changed after it was selected. reselect and try again.Am able to update rest of the fields in the person record. So am not able to change the password for any person.

Tip: Address field display problem in Excel

Hello When the address field is printed out in excel, it moves to the next line. You can fix this error with existing code.replace(t.address ,chr(13)|| chr(10),'' ) '' ) The address field contains ASCII code. Chr (13) || He was doing it with the chr (10) CODE. You can fix this problem with the Replace command.

I need to change the DDLB values when i click on a new button. Based on a header attribute I want to populate a tab listview column(combo box) with certain types of data relevant to the header attribute. Packing Instructions

Hi all. I anyone using Handling Units and DESADV EDI? We need to configure a Packing Instruction that has a pallet/base and a cover/lid (with multiple smaller handling units stacked in between). We have added the lid as an Accessory in the Packing Instruction but it does not show up in the DESADV. How should we incorporate it? As a handling unit level along with the base? Are Handling Unit Accessories for internal use only? Thanks in advance. Ged P.

Prorated Equipment Cancellation Credits

I am being told that IFS Contract module does not produce a credit when equipment is removed from coverage during a contract billing term and that I need to manually calculate the credit due the customer. Can anyone advise if this is accurate? I find it very hard to believe that a Field Service Contract billing system does not have the functionality to generate a prorated credit for inventory dynamics in a service environment.

Notification Business Rule on Deleted Record

Looking to create a business rule when a request is deleted. Deleting the request also deletes the associated request event data so once it is gone i cannot retrieve it.i attempted to make a rule that activates both before and after delete but none have been successful

Task Schedule parameter "Check Executing"

Upon scheduling a database task I found the parameter “Check Executing” just above the Start Date, marked with yellow in the picture below. Usually when activating a scheduled task I check the check box “Active” and then consider when to start the schedule (start date). But I found that the parameter “Check Executing” is checked for some scheduled tasks and unchecked for some. In the documentation I can’t find any information about the mentioned check box. Can someone please explain what the parameter does and recommend whether to have it checked or unchecked?

MWO Notifications

Is there a reason why the MWO app does not give a notification that a work order has been assigned or unassigned without being on the application itself. Notifications have been turned on within the settings of the iphone but this does not seem to work. It is only once you open the MWO app that you receive a new work order notification,

I have enabled sync trace for my mobile user with database viewer on and I'm using mWorkOrder 3.14 in Apps9 on an iPad. How can i view that local db from an apple device? I am familiar with Android and windows but i can't seem to figure out how to see it from an iOS device. Also, does anyone here know the logic IFS uses to generate a device id? Thanks

Release document

Is it possible to approve and release one document directly from the “attachments/documens” panel in Apps-8 without going in the document revision window ? The idea is to drag and drop a document (for example on customer order window) on which we have an approval template automatically triggered and allow the user to approve the document from the same window (customer order) .And same requirement for creating a new revision of one existing document already attached to any LU without going on the document revision window but directly from the window on which it is attached.
