This is a bit of a basic question, but like all things IFS, the UI is so rich in configurations that maybe I’m missing something… I would like the Search Bar to always show, I keep moving from screen to screen and, for the type of work I do, I have always using the Search Bar so I have extra clicks to display it every time I move to a new screen, which is a productivity killer. Can this search bar be displayed by default when you open a screen without having to do the extra-clicking to show it?

Is there a way with either a workflow or report rule, that lets you print an attachment once an operational form is printed? I have attachments for shipments that I would like to have printed when I print the shipment delivery note. I have added the capability for attachments to be added to shipments.Any advise would be greatly appreciated.Thanks,Bryan

Hi All,I am seeing this odd behaviour in cloud 24R1 version. I received my serial tracked part to an arrival location. I didn't specify any serials yet. Then I performed the inspection and scrapped that part for no credit.  Now when I try to Undo the inspection results, it gives me this error message.  Anyone else faced the same issue? Thanks,Chamath

Hello, We have a ‘super user’ in the business who wishes to view all background jobs; however currently can only see jobs submitted by themselves. I know by granting system privilege ADMINISTRATOR would enable this, however it would also give them too much access. Is there a way of allowing them to view all background jobs without giving them full admin access?  They also wish to view scheduled database tasks...so same question will apply to this area We are using Apps 8. Hello, just in the process of testing the RMA function and can’t seem to see an option to return to stock (which is what physically happens), have I not set something up in the background correctly? I’m logged in as IFSAPP so shouldn’t be a permission issue. Please see screen shot below.

Hi,I cannot find it described in Localization description for Italy, so I am asking here. What is the correct way of setup address for country Italy to get Italian e-invoice (PA Fattura) working in IFS? I was thinking about setting province codes of Italy as States, but it does not work - source value of mandatory tag <Provincia> goes from County field in address (company/customer/supplier) - so how should I set up the dictionary for County codes? This dictionary relates to States list, but States are not used in the e-invoice messages and I have no idea what should be list of values for States of Italy.   

Hi,  We have an issue in Apps 10 MWO when using surveys with Yes/No questions. We have made Remarks enabled so, if necessary, the user can add for either Yes/ No.  However, when we revisit the survey, the added remark is removed and is filled with Yes/No depending on the answer we select for the question. Hello framework experts, I am on 24R1 at the moment. I have a scenario to import employee expenses from an external service provider. I created an external payment template and i can successfully import the file. Until here, there is no problem.  In the external file, I have GL account and Cost Center that are mapped to BankTranscationInfo1 and BankTransactionInfo2. I want to create a workflow that will loop payment lines for the particular load and read the 2 fields and set CodeA and CodeB values. Here is my first part of workflow. I can read the array. Here I am assigning variables. But i have an error that I cannot resolve by myself.  Here i want to update the 2 fields. I am new to workflows and discovering how it works. Hi, In this issue, the end-user has canceled the supplier shipment for return materials.Now the materials are in shipment location with a reservation to receipt. However, the end user now wants to return the material back to the supplier.However, we cannot select the material in the shipment inventory to do the return. How can we do the return? Thank you in advance

Hi every one, I have an issue related to the source connection of the WT : I have these 21 PM actions that use the “merge” feature, and by using “Calendar generation” I’ve created one WO with one WT with 21 steps. But the problem is : I don’t have any “Source connection” one the WT. That value should be “PM action”. Do you have any ideas ?

Hello, not sure if I’m not looking in the right place or if the data just isn’t brought through to the historical work order.We are on 24.2.2 version of Cloud, when I am using the Ad hoc Work Reporting the field ‘Performed Work’ is where I write what has been done to the object (functional and serial). However once the work order that is created goes to Historical status I can not see this field or the details I’ve typed in anywhere. Also when in conclude work order and go to the work tasks, using the Reporting command button and select report action taken, a pop out opens and you can free type. Again once the order is set to historical, I can not see this detail.  Please can anyone help point to where I need to look, thanks.Sarah

I am having a problem give permission of “Work Assignment Information” tree view to general users. This tree view is under the window My Task ( under Service and Maintenance module, attached ) in IFSAPP10. I have already checked both presentation objects and Database objects in the permission set window but unable to find anything related with the text of tree view menu, so, unable to give permission from permission window. The users I am trying to give permission can access My Work window.  There have been a couple of posts but none of them actually  have a resolution.

In an effort to fix a Person ID creation error - our HR Department terminated an employee in IFS. After advising them we could not do what they wanted to do as far as the PERSON ID being tied to the same Employee ID on a new person ID.When we attempt the rehire process we are getting an “overlapping date intervals” error message. In this example the employee was originally hired on 12/09/2024, Terminated on 2/16/25, we are trying to rehire as of 2/17/25 and this is when the error populates 

We are using developer studio to create customized code for IFS Cloud 22R2 (22.2.3) and want to start using the PLSQL Test tool. However, I get two strange errors when I try. I have created a utility package and a function in that, then created the pltst file and a simple test. What happens is this:Compile the pltst file: OK Run the test (from pltst file): Information box stating “PLTST does not contain any unit tests!”. But test results tab shows one successful test and is green. I have also checked that the tests can actually fail if I change conditions, so it seems that tests are actually running and doing their job at this point. Run test again: same information box, but now test fails with error. “DROP PACKAGE C_PROD_LINE_KANBAN_MTRL_TST   ORA-04043: object C_PROD_LINE_KANBAN_MTRL_TST does not exist”. The .tst file starts with“CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE C_Prod_Line_Kanban_Mtrl_TST IS...”So there is a difference between upper and lower case. Apologies if I’m just missing it, but I don’t see anything in the Wiki about it either. In previous versions, we could select multiple events in an event monitor using Shift or Ctrl, then right click and take an action on all of the selected events. How do you do that in 24R2? I select multiple check boxes for the tickets I want to action, but as soon as I right click on one of the selected tickets to take an action, the rest of the selected tickets are unchecked. Is it not possible to action multiple tickets in the new version in the new event monitor view?

I have been advised that FSM 6 goes into extended support in January 2026 and then into restricted support in January 2029. However, I have not been given any further information on if this will incur additional fees, or what alternative products IFS have available other than IFS Cloud (which is a 7 x more expensive). Does anyone know anywhere I can find out more or know themselves?

Hello, I am trying to setup a Object Connection Transformation that will allow user to view all documents associated with Case Tasks on the parent Case. I’ve gotten the reverse situation to work (view the Case documents on a Case Task). See screenshots attached. Is this a situation where you need to define a custom transformation function? Is that something that you have to do in the build place or can it be accomplished through the IFS cloud itself? I have a Case with 1 document attached and a Case Task with one document attached. At the case level, I would expected to see 2 attachments, but am seeing one with the current configuration.

References can be used in filters and are also expandable items. Hence, we can have a saved query that filters on a value in a reference. Example: find the inventory parts for planner with name ‘Kenneth Pettersson’.
