We’ve upgraded to 24R2 this spring.

Does anyone know how to enable the Freight Booking screen under Customer management?

@DHCRADPA Can you share a screenshot of what you’re looking to enable/configure?

As far as I know, IFS offers two variations of Freight features for Cloud for North American customers.  The Freight Integration which was rolled out in 21RX which was developed by IFS NA to act as a psuedo replacement for the freight integration from Apps 8/9.  This requires an additional separate commercial agreement with a 3rd party freight company called Pacejet (now known as Descartes Pacjet).

Starting in 22RX, IFS created the Freight Booking feature which is supposed to allow some similar functions as the freight integration, but it’s not specific to one 3PL.   Over the last several releases, they’ve continued to add incremental features here.

Unfortunately, we’re unable to use PaceJet, because they’re limited to North America. The good side is that we found ShipItSmarter which does things similar with PaceJet, however with different requirements.

We’re currently trying to build with IFS a similar solution, however global.  This includes complexities back into customer order screens where different lines might be included in different shipments, with different origin/destinations (FEDEX has different accounts in NA, Europe and ASIA - for the same vendor) and subjected to various tax /customs situations. Eventually we’re looking to build an XML message catered for ShipiItSmarter (rather than the generic one in Freight booking), which includes embedded reports (Proforma and Packing Slip) and can be delivered via SFTP or Email (IFS Connect).
