Engineering Part Navigator - Navigation Tree vs Consists of Differences

Please advise if there are any limitations on the Tree View in Part Navigator?

We have found a difference between the child data shown in the tree view vs the child data shown in Consists of:


6 Child Rows are not shown in the tree view but are present in the consists of structure. 

When using sort code order (which was the initial assumption that it had reached a limitation), it shows that most are at the bottom of the Sort Code but NOT ALL. 

Why would these views be different?
Is there a limitation on number of rows shown on the tree view?

Hi ​@kerri-leigh,

There is no such limitation/option available to control tree data for the Engineering Part Navigator screen, most probably this might be due cache issue if the Consist Of tab is properly configured.

Please refresh your screen and check whether the issue still persists.

Hi Abdul,

Thank you for responding. This is seen across several users’ accounts/pc’s, so not a local cache issue. It seems to be a difference between Part Navigator and the Model Tree.

Better raise a support case with IFS.

​@matt.watters appreciate it if you could confirm whether there is any limitation or option available to control the data in the Engineering Part Navigator tree structure.

​@Abdul I do not know of a limitation or something else that controls what is displayed in this tree structure.
