How do we disable applying absence on public holidays.

Hi All,

IFS allows employees to apply absences even its a public holiday. Do we have any chance block that?

Hi Malinda,

There is no setting to prevent this, but:

The system will not register such an absence upon approval of the request, so it doesn’t do any harm.
Why on earth would someone request absence on a public holiday? After all, usually, you know that it’s a non-work day, right?

Just to answer your question on 2nd bullet: I have a case where the employee request full whole 2 weeks including the public holidays & weekends.

Btw HR in my company for some reason using request to follow up / verify the absence taken.
