Hello.  When using component parts across a multiple lot size, say 10, IFS wants to split the Qty Per Assembly if the split is not “all”. For example, lot size 10, qty req per assembly is 1, if we use 5 qty of alternate component part, the qty per assembly is 0.5.  In the case where the part cannot be physically split, i.e. a bolt, then i’d want to issue all 10 to the shop order and use qty per 1 per assembly, and just use 5 of part A and 5 of part b.  Is this possible? HI,I am using Mobile Work Order on IOS pushed out via MDM and a custom B2B App. I wondered if anyone had any experience in this setup. As we have an on-prem touch apps server is it possible to push the app out with the login parameters pre populated, eg systemID, touch apps server url and username/pass. We can pull user name and password from MDM.

Is there an option to set an Engineering Revision not to transfer until the Revision status is Released? There is no other way to check whether Approval completed, all required documents is attached, etc. before the transfer.

Using APPS9, we have created a copy of the Transport Task page and modified the new version with custom fields, we are struggling to apply the custom menus that are in the original version of transport task. Can this be done?

Hi All,   Is there a setting to disable the sorting functionality by clicking the column header? I never noticed this but today a customer questioned about it, and now I see it every time when opening a table window   I already tried disabling FNDBAS Presobject Table Column Reorganization but it didn’t solve the problem.  

Hi, Is there a way (shortcut) to go to/open the pre-posting window? Pre-posting is used in many Windows so we are looking for a faster way to do the input.

I am attempting to get the Mobile app to update the TASK.ACTUAL_TRAVEL_START_DTTM field with the current time when the task status is changed from Assigned to En-route via the mobile app. I can update the value via client scripting, however I cannot figure out how to trigger it ONLY when the task status changes from  Assigned to En-route. I had thought about updating via a business rule however I would not catch the exact time of when the status is changed on mobile, only when it is synced. Thanks in advance for advice!

Has anyone used the Resource Criteria tab on the Project form?  I am looking at it and it looks like we can set priority for certain values over and above just Resource ID.  But what is not clear is what this actually does for us in the application.  The help states that “Once the resource criteria has been decided and entered for the project the resource planning can be performed much easily.”  I do not know what that means.  Is there some sort of external project planning engine that I am not aware of that is going to use this data to plan resources and pass allocations back into the project?   Does anyone have a good use case for this tab/functionality?

HiIn IFS10 the Maintenance is rebuilt, this is very good step forward and I think it´s very good, but we missing some things. One thing that we missing is to show Work Task Steps in Object Navigator.Any reason why this is not showed? /Karl

Hi All,   In the FSM Mobile Application there are baseline CUSTOM fields, as well as the ability to create CUSTOM fields for any screen.   Some of the existing Custom fields are;  CUSTOM.FULL_NAME DebriefOverview Screen  CUSTOM.FORMATTED_TIME JobList Screen Displays a concatenated view of task.plan_start_dttm and task.plan_end_dttm CUSTOM.FULL_ADDRESS JobList Screen Displays a concatenated view of address, city, state, zip etc. There is the capability to add Custom Fields, which you then have the ability to configure limitedly.   My question;   It seems that all allowed configuration through designer is limited to the source and description, as present in the mm_field  table.       Nowhere in the mm_field table, or any other mm_field_** tables, can I figure out where the real source of these custom fields is defined.   Ref guide seems limited to the statement “If the field you want to add is not bound to a specific table and column, select Custom Field”   Where, if at all, in the da

I would like to know which application (form) is actual started by a user. Security is all arranged by permission set, but it doesn't necessarily means that the program's in the permission sets are actually used Is there a way to activate/facilitate logging somewhere in IFS or via PLSQL? This will help me analysing which application is used by which user and in which frequency.    

The customer has moved from Apps8 to Apps10 recently and they use SSO for logging in. They have a request to reduce number mouse clicks for logging in. He states as below, First click on the click once link  Second click to download and Run Third click to select the account to log in But if they have a shortcut to the Application, then it is working a bit weirdly. So they are asking if they can optimize the number of mouse clicks before logging in. Is it a possible task?   In Apps10 doesnt it have the 2.0 and IsolatedStorage cache in the machine? I tried internally it always ask to download the Application.

HiWe are planning to perform a test DR of our infrastructure and IFS system as this is a requirement for SOX/Audit to evidence we have performed this task. We have Oracle database on a Linux server, whereas IFS environments are on Windows servers. We have Mobile and 360 in addition to the Middle Ware (MW) server.  We are using IFS Apps 8.Our Windows servers are mirrored using a 3rd party product, and i believe the plan is to fail over to a mirrored equivalent during the test. We copy the Live Oracle files to our TEST Oracle server hourly. The plan is to create the Live database on the test server using the backed up files transferred from Live server.Once the database is up, i understand i need to perform a re-config on the MW server to point to this database on the test server instead of the Live server for the purpose of DR test. Are there any other steps I need to perform to allow IFS to work in this DR scenario? I am looking for guidance or advise on experiences of performing a DR

Hello All, Can anyone advise how we could control access to the report archive screen/data by site / company? At present any user can print/view any report from report archive screen regardless of this access, this is posing a potential security threat as our organisation is made up of multiple companies. We’ve tried revoking access to report archive activity, however that meant the user could not print any reports as a result. Please advise.

We have a number of shop floor based employees who are not users and register to shop orders via the Shop floor Workbench, which adds a labour clocking to the shop order operation, this clocking can also be viewed in shop floor clocking’s, time registration and time card day MFG Clocking’s screens. Why is it then that when the Shop Order button in time registration screen is used to register the time against a shop order operation this transaction is not also visible (created) in the other views, what is the point of the Shop Order button in time registration?   Apps 8

Occasionally, there may be a need to cease using and existing supplier; even when there happens to be open POs on them. We are looking to stop a valid supplier from being used for further procurement. Some sort of “status flag”. We have both Purchasing and Finance (AP). We may also need to report on “current inactive suppliers”. Can anyone explain where to complete this activity, please?   Thanks very much.  

Could it be, that Client Script Sql in FSM does not work yet? I can not get it up and running and there is no documentation for it.
