Application defined Events

Forum|alt.badge.img+8

Hi,

Could you please anyone eloborate reagrding “ApprovalRouting” on Application defined Events?

I know

  1. STEP_READY_FOR_APPROVAL fires for next approver if anyone current step aprroved, it’s not firing first step approver
  2. STEP_REJECTED_NODOC fires if anyone rejected a step

I need to know about these STEP_APPROVED, APPROVAL_ROUTE_COMPLETE and APPROVAL_ROUTE_REJECTED events

Thanks,

Narsi.

Hi @dsj

Thanks for providing this,

It doesn’t make sense that the difference between APPROVAL_ROUTE_REJECTED and STEP_REJECTED_NODOC

Could you please elaborate?

Thanks,

Narsi.

Hi @Narsi,

APPROVAL_ROUTE_REJECTED is dedicated for the Documents and STEP_REJECTED_NODOC is for other type of objects which are setup with approval process.

Approval for object is system defined for some objects like Engineering Part Revision, Project Item where you have a dedicated tab to define Approval steps (Image 1) or it can be configure for any object using Object Connections (Image 2)

Image 2: Approval Process setup as Object Connection

Hope it helps to clarify the difference between two events

Seems I have mistakenly added a URL of an internal environment in above reply. Please use below path in your local IFS technical documentation to find the relevant resource.
