Hi,We’re trying to upload attachments to IFS using oData.‘We’ve tried mimicing the Aurena behavior found when inspecting the page and sniffing the HTTP traffic. Projection: DocumentHome.svcCreateAndConnect work fine but can’t send the file data.The FileData steps just returns an HTTP 500 , internal server error. A second approach we’ve tried is through the CreateAndImportDocument Projection.I’ve tried all kinds of formating for the FileData property but won’t accept any of it. Below is a Base64 encoded binary string. Since documentation is almost non existing I’m a bit stuck. Has anyone managed to use oData for attachment upload and can provide som working examples? Would be much apricated ! thx!

Does anyone know if a document attachment in IFS can be added to a report or automated email?  Here is our situation, but the applications are many.  We have approval drawings attached to parts in IFS.  If the part is entered on a Business Opportunity or Customer Order, we want that approval drawing as part of the Quotation Document generated by the Business Op or the Order Acknowledgement. btw - we are on Apps 10.

I created a Persistent Text custom field with the Clickable Hyperlink attribute checked. I then set the field to be visible on the page in IEE. After putting a URL in the field the text displays blue with a line under it and ctrl + clicking will launch the browser and navigate to the URL. This is the behavior I would like to see in Aurena as well. In Aurena when I add the field to the page the URL displays as text without looking like a link. Is there a way to make it look and act like a clickable hyperlink?

We have quick report that takes excessively long to execute and return results. We upgraded to Apps 10 last October.  I have a user using sticky notes on Time Card Day.  Now in 10 the note will appear and you can type in it, etc…, but when you leave the page the note is gone.  I do not believe it is a permissions isssue as she can use the notes on other screens and the same thing happens when I am logged in as App Owner.  Any one else run into this?

Hello, I am looking for a way to determine what user created an Inventory Part. There doesn’t appear to be a history tab or any obvious field where this information is captured. I believe I could turn on History Logging and set the PART_NO field to record all inserts, but I’m hoping there is an easier way in the system to tell which user created any IP. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

When I prepare an Inventory Control Plan, I have to enter a site. Once done I want to activate it. System comes back with error message that I have to set existing control plan to InactiveCurrently it looks like the above. Notice the fact that there is no Site/Contract in the selection list.Opening the active Control Plan shows:The one that I want to set active looks like:So part is the same. The site however is different.My logic tells me that The control plans differ, however IFS tells me, via the error message, that control plans are cross site to be set up. Why is the site there and what usage is the site if I can’t  activate it per site.Regards,Steve

Could someone explain to me the difference in the values found in the various Part Cost Bucket tables? part_cost_bucket_tab part_cost_bucket_one_tab part_cost_bucket_history_tabI am attempting to construct a Bill of Materials for a data warehouse, and these three tables seem to carry slightly different values.  For the purposes of demand calculations in the data warehouse, I need to be able to leverage a Bill of Materials as of any point in time, so I was hopeful that the history table would include everything I need -- but there are some examples of Part associations in the other two tables not available there.I could perform a simple union of these tables in my SQL query in order to handle for any missing data -- but that feels like a weak solution that could generate more confusion than it alleviates.Any guidance others could provide me on the nuances between these tables would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

We have a report rule that emails invoices to customers.  I want to include a web address that includes the invoice number and invoice amount.  An example below where CD1234 is the invoice number and 200 is the invoice amount.  I am using variables for these values.  My problem is when I try to build the below string the = and & characters are a problem.   It does not include anything after a = or & character.  I have tried wrapping it with single and double quotes with no luck.  Any suggestions?  https://www.xxx.com/invoice/?invoice_number=CD1234&amount=200App8sp1+

Hello, Has anyone created new entity with sequence in IFS Developer Studio ? I want to create sequence for keys of my table.I could create index and sequences in PLSQL Developer but i guess it is made in .storage file in Developer Studio.How can I create .storage file of the entity to define INDEX or SEQUENCE ?  Or maybe i need another way to define them. Could anyone please help ? Thanks & Best Regards

Hi,We’ve installed FSM 5.7 and 6.7 on the same server. We’ve noticed that the report viewer is used to display reports in the 5.7 version. In the 6.7 version, some of the reports are getting errors when we try to print them, and no reports are linked to the report viewer. I am trying to add a history record via events to customer orders when a variable area changes. But the date which I send as a sysdate is inserting wrong. I tried to format the date but it did not work. What is the correct format? Wrong Date​​

Is there any way in IFS 10 to make MRP result as Production Smoothing (Heijunka) ? I have copied the document default values that come out of the box to into the Document Class Management.  There are several columns that I am unable to check on the override default check box.  Specifically I was trying to override the Document Class so I can add a default document class to each document class that I was creating.  Does anyone know why I cannot select the override?

Hello,I’m looking into setting up the Intersite automation and have a question. You need to set an Internal Customer and Internal Supplier in the sites. I want to use an existing customer/supplier to do this as we already have that set up, it’s just manual. I can only find an option to “Create Internal Customer/Supplier” in the site, I can’t choose an existing one. Is it possible for me to do this?Thanks,Mike

I am configuring the incident distribution list, however I seem to missing a piece of the puzzle. I have the basic data configured, the distribution list is populating on the incident after it is confirmed / acknowledged…  However the state of the distribution list item is “To be alerted” even though the notification type is automatic.  I believe that where I am missing the mark is when configuring the event conditions.  My expectation is: when the conditions of the distribution list configuration have been meet, the corresponding distribution list will be populated on the incident.  Because the notification type is automatic, the email will be generated by the system per the configuration of the event action.Am I going in the right direction? 

We would like to test Incident Distribution List Emailing.   We have created the Incident Distribution List and setup the Distribution List Configuration conditions.   So, when an new Incident is created and the status changes to confirmed then the person in the relevant email distribution list associated to the configuration should be emailed.   When I checked the Release Email Notifications information I can see that the activity is used to send email notifications manually. Note that the status of the notification setting will automatically change to Completed when notifications are manually executed. In the pre-requisites it has the following: In order to send automatic notifications to persons on the distribution list, the relevant event should be enabled in the Event Actions window by the application owner.
