Hello Community,How to restrict back ground job visibility of other users and only show background jobs for that users in IFS version 8. 

Hi, does anyone know why the Earliest start and latest finish hour is not changing when using a specific calendar id in PM action general tab? It’s changing just the date, but the hour of the calendar is not considering. E.g. The maint org calendar is 7/3 - 24/7 time. but I insert the MAINT calendar in calendar ID that is - just 5 day a week and from 10am to 5pm. the problem is: the maintenance plan of the pm action is not changing the time, just skipping the weekends. Tks in advance  

Hi, I am trying to add history to Customer Order when the step approved. The problem is I can't take information from approval routing. History API new is working. I want to add a description of the step to history. Hi,I have a question about the field Buyer (buyer code) on the Purchase Requisition Lines. When I release a Customer Order, it automatically creates Purchase Requisition Lines for the Sales Parts that needs to be purchased. Sometimes the Buyer Code on the Purchase Requisition Line is the Buyer Code connected to the User that releases the Customer Order. But sometimes the Buyer Code on the Purchase Requisition Line is het default in the system: IFS APP. This even differs on lines generated from the same Customer Order (see the screenshot below).I cannot track down why the Buyer Code sometimes is the default and sometimes the Buyer Code connected to the user. Does someone know how this works? The ideal scenario is that IFS always fetches the Buyer Code from the User releasing the Customer Order.Besides, it works the same when creating Purchase Requisitions from a project miscellanous demand or from a Shop Order.See the screenshot below as illustration. We are on APPS10 Update 7. 

Hi All, We had a recent issue where erroneous postings were resulted in Distribution and Manufacturing Postings Analysis, as the relevant accounts had Code Part B as mandatory (which didn’t flow through in this case), . And it seemed that the system had created empty vouchers in Cancelled state for these every time  ‘Transfer Purchase Transactions’ was run (it’s a scheduled task).  I found in the Help for Voucher Entry the following “Vouchers with Cancelled status are automatically created when a voucher transfer from IFS Distribution contains a voucher where all included voucher rows were returned to IFS Distribution due to errors. “ Has anyone come across such scenario? Does anyone know the actual purpose of the cancelled voucher creation that’s actually empty? TIA

Hi, I don't fully understand the date logic in the time-phased supply proposals created by IFS for an end-item (in an engineer-to-order setting). Can you outline the key types of dates (or 'offsetting inputs') that figure within scheduling. From specifying when the user desires said item, to all the subsequent dates that are generated after BoM explosion. The 'tools' at are disposal are IFS Apps 10, namely, MRP that executes 'Infinite Scheduler' and 'APB' (our method to CBS schedule items to reflect 'live' capacity constraints such as the current load at a given work centre). I'll provide a brief description of our current practice and raise questions alongside that. If there's any misuse, do say so. Scheduled process not running ?We have configured the scheduled process in a new environment. But the scheduled process is not running . The same schedule process in running in other environments.Kindly need your support to resolve the issue. 

Working with the existing LU EngPartRevision, we added some custom fields to extend the LU in a centralized testing environment.  After standing up a new development environment, we created the custom fields by exporting an Application Configuration Package (ACP) and importing it into the new environment.  The fields validated and imported into an Approved state.  When I attempt to publish and synchronize the custom fields, I receive the error “COMPILE_ERROR2:  Error during compilation of LU [EngPartRevision]” that looks like it is related to extended the custom view (CFV).    

Hello, Is it possible to have a template PO with lines that can be used to create PO’s? We are wanting to do this for the ordering of stationary, cleaning products etc. The template can then be brought up, easily change the qty required and send to the supplier.Thanks Sarah

We are having issues with users trying to change their password. We in Apps 10 and we were asked by IFS to navigate to the database object “Change_Password_Dbip_” and grant that to our base functionality permission set. When I go there and try and grant it I RMB and there is no option to grant this. Does anyone know why this is happening?  

Is there a way in Apps8 to create one customer order from different sales quotations  ?

Hi, I’m testing the oData REST API to download/upload attachments in FSM, but I’m facing some issues.I can get the attahcment info (but the “attachment@data.mediaReadLink” attribute). However I don’t get anything, while trying to retrieve the binary data (prints attached) Additionally, I’m not able to change the stored flag for manually added attachments. Thank you,João Oliveira

If purchase requisition of one item abut 50 quantities.After the authorization, I create a request for order quotation. In which I want to split 50 quantities in to two parts.If I change the quantity in the request for order quotation window and isert 25 quantity and remaining25 quantity in other new line inserted by me in order equation window. then It will ok.but in back end new line create by me in order quotation window have no purchase requisition number.Please guide me perfect way of order spliting.

Maybe a simple question, I want to transfer a database task from our test environment to the production environment. An export file (.ins) has been created.Should this be deployed via PL SQL and if so with which command?This is the 1st time I have to do this.  

I would like to complete this RMA, but am unable to.The 1st line allows receipt, but the second line says ‘0’ - I have tried to receive that into stock but the RMA pop up just resets the value to spaces and am unable to change the status - any thoughts?? Any thoughts how I can complete/close this RMA?

full context: were looking at giving the users the ability to create a request from the place screen.This would either be by clicking a button that redirects them to the request screen or having a tab on the lower pane that will have the new request related fields. My question is, how can i auto-populate the “Place ID” on the Request, to that of the Place record they’re currently displaying? I wouldn't think a business rule would do this so perhaps a new button with a xml message in it? Not sure what that would look like to reference to the current place record but hoping i can be helped here.

Hi Is there a way of adding additional information to Application Defined Events?  For instance, could we call an API to retrieve data to be included in the body of the email that is sent. An example scenario, is the Approval Routing events which send emails when approval routing step is approved. The application defined event uses basic information but the business wants the Document title to be displayed instead of Doc No and the Document class description instead of Doc No. We are using Apps 8. Please provide guidance and suggestions how to implement this. Regards Shaun
