Where does a customer find available patches and / or release notes for Apps9 Updates? Recently learned we did not have a specific patch to properly create 1099s and had no idea a patch was either needed or available. Thanks in advance.

I’m looking for a list of recommended methods in IFS for Functional Areas to jump start our work in defining these for SOX SOD purposes. For example, I’m looking for all the methods that can be used to adjust inventory without a Customer Order or Purchase Order in support of a Physical Inventory FA. Any suggestions?

We have a question about performance in quick reports that use one or more IAL’s.Let’s say we have 3 IALs over CustomerOrderLines (and other tables but this is the main one), each building upon the previous one. In the 3rd IAL that the quick report uses, we want to pull the DistrictCode that is in CUST_ORD_CUSTOMER_ADDRESS_ENT.Will it affect performance if we join CUST_ORD_CUSTOMER_ADDRESS_ENT in the 1st IAL or the quick report?Any best practice to follow on something like this? 

We would like to recognize purchase price variance on receipt of inventory vs when an invoice is processed.  Is it possible to do this?  Is there an associated posting control that we can setup to help us with this?

 Our company moved to office 365 and the mail port and protocol changed. I adjusted the mails sent from the events tab in IFS. I cannot run mails sent from PLSQL. Hello IFS Community! I am a new starter within my organisation and I have worked with other ERP’s, however it’s a new experience trying out IFS and understanding it. My question may be very simple for you experts, what determines Employee File → Summary tab → Supervisor field? I suspect that it has to be either: Graphical Organization Structure or Graphical Position Structure, I struggle to clearly understand difference between the two. We recently start using SSL on our environment (IFS App9), we are running multinodes, we also have a separate, Touch App server, Database Server (running Oracle 12c), print server, Connect/Integration server.Are there any procedures/documentation on how to apply the new SSL certificates to the relevant components of the system.We recently have had to replace an expired certificate and although I think we have just about managed it, we had several problems.  It would be nice to know if there were proper procedures to follow. ThanksAndy 

How to change the IFS Order Report Logs for ALL the reports. By dufult reports have IFS log on them. Customer want to have their company Log on them. Changing the log one by one on each report is a very time consuming activity. hoping to know if there a better way of doing it.

Where can I add the method “get_document_access” for one object ?   

I’m facing an issue when trying to add a new custom action to a projection. The dropdown menu for PL/SQL Methods is empty, and says ‘No Data’. This dropdown should contain all the packages and methods available In the IFS database. Without the ability to select a PL/SQL method, we cannot add any Custom Actions at all. This is happening for standard as well as custom projections. Is this a known issue? I’m using IFS Version 10, Update 10.CUSTOM ACTION SCREENNO DATA IN THE PL/SQL METHOD SEARCH WINDOW 

What is the best way to rehire a former employee (same company, same employee id)?  I have tried using the wizards for: New Employee, Single and Group Employee Assignments, Schedules and Rules Assignment, and Extend Employment.   We use Time and Attendance, as well as shop floor reporting, so there are many places that need a new record when rehiring (Employee Status, Employee Period, Org/Position Assignment, Schedule, Manufacturing Labor Class, etc.).  Ideally, I wish we could use the New Hire wizard, as the employee may be coming back with a completely different role that requires different records.  Any suggestions?

Hi, I have created a simple excel plugin layout for the Purchase_Receipt_Rep order report but nothing happens when I print and choose ‘Email Report’. Is there something that needs to be setup on the server to allow the Excel plugin or is my xml wrong?  

Hello, I have been trying to find a way to view all raw material that is used at a given work center. Ideally, I have reviewed material usage, component where used, but there does not appear to be a way to search by Work Center. I am hoping that there is an area within the system where this data can be viewed. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone, we import and attach pdf documents (drawings) to the parts in the customer order lines, and would like the instans view to work, as a complement to the preview in the external software (some pdf reader), but it doesnt seem to work, We are using user IFSAPP, and the document revision grants IFSAPP access,  This is the option we are trying to use to preview PDF And we get this error:  Someone knows how to solve this? Thanks in advance,

Since I am not so strong in SQL, I tried query builder to come up with a report with the below columns for Inventory parts Part NoPart Description Site = X only Created Date (on or after 1-1-2020) Has 5 or more transactions “ Primary supplier for the purchase part”  with Supplier name and supplier ID (2 columns)  However, for the number of transactions column I am facing a challenge since there is no view for me to chose in query builder. So I omitted that column, but still need the report sorted for parts with only for 5 or more transactions.  How should I do? an advise  with the right SQL statement would also help.
