Our Customer wats to changne one parameter Dedicated session timeout in IFS installer
How can He do it safely?
How is the IFS installer launched?
Is a restart of the application server or the database server required after changing the settings?

Hi @Marcin Szczurek 

Customer can get a downtime for the environment and do the below steps.

Steps

----------

  1. Go to IFS Home folder in Application Server.
  2. Run the “installer.cmd” as Administrator.
  3. Choose the reconfiguration option.
  4. Go to this form “Configure Dedicated Session Properties” in the installer and change as you wish.
  5. Then you just need to press “Next” until you see the “Execute” button (Don’t change any other options).
  6. Press execute and do the reconfiguration.

That’s it and as per my knowledge we don’t need to restart the DB Or Application Server. Reconfiguring the instance will enough.
