IFS Apps 10 UPD19 Hi All,As a PoC, I am currently investigating the possibly of moving one of our test middleware services from Windows to Oracle Linux platform.Without creating a new ‘middleware home’ on this Linux server and then re installing 150-ish releases into it, does anybody know if it would be possible to use the ‘Clone’ option from the Windows server and then re create the middleware on the Linux server? If not, has anybody else down this (moving from Windows to Linux) or have any idea what would be the best way forward..I believe my options are limited and would have to go the re installing the releases route..Any help / assistance would be greatly appreciated.James

Hi All,Assume third parties invoke IFS REST APIs from outside. How do we monitor/audit, What APIs  are called from outside/when and what users calling APIs.Is there any location where we can monitor each and every call? Note that every call may not be successful owing to errors raised from IFS but we need to monitor each and every call irrespective of their status: successful or unsuccessful.

We have 1 customer that we must collect and remit sales tax for.  i have looked through the documentation and have successfully set up the collection portion.  I have been able to  capture and report over the collection piece.  However, what is the mechanism to remit these taxes?  I tried just entering a supplier invoice but the collections are held in a ledger account so I cannot clear the collections that way.

Hi, I’m going through the IFS Cloud Essentials training and I cannot fast forward or rewind. I’ve tried it in Chrome and in Edge. Even once I’ve finished a course and it’s marked as “Complete”, if I want to watch it again, I have to watch the entire thing. I’m sure you can understand why this is hampering my ability to learn. Thoughts?

Hi,I have implemented a outbound (POST) request to 3rd party to transfer some information from IFS to their system, but to access their system I need to generate a token and then need to send the outbound request authorization as Bearer using that generated token. Can I fulfil this requirement only using Routing Rules and Addresses?Token Generation I’m getting a token as a result of above. Outbound RequestI should be able to use the generated token here to send the data. Please share if you have any sample setup for this..

Hi All, When an end user apply for an absence, supervisor needs to approve it first and authorize it secondly. In our case we do not need two levels and we need to skip approve status and authorize it directly. Is there any option to skip this approve option and directly authorize absence requests by the supervisor?I'm working with AURENA client. Regards,MalinG.

Hi,I am trying to integrate IFS with another system. I will send the data. Before that, I need to get the access token of the web service. So, I am sending a POST request with the “command_sys.send_rest_message” procedure. The procedure doesn’t give a response body. And also the procedure has no out parameter like application message id. (at least plsqlap_server_api.post_outbound_bizapi procedure has out parameter application message id :)) So, I tried to capture the access token in a weird way(You can see the code below. ). I searched message value on application messages (inside the last 1 minute) with the message text. This is not a good way to get an access token. I think it won’t work sometime. Is there a better way to get the access token? DECLARE rest_sender_ VARCHAR2(2000) := 'REST_SENDER1'; end_point_ VARCHAR2(2000); auth_method_ VARCHAR2(2000); http_method_ VARCHAR2(10) := 'POST'; -- get or post both are working. query_params_

Hi,I have a use case where in a customer contract we have many installed item and we would like  :1/ To suspend the billing for one of the items because the item is broken or out of order Do you know a way to suspend the  billing process only for one item (OOS) of a customer contract ? 2/ To have a free period for an item under contract. The contract is active, but for one line (OOS)  of the contract we don’t run the billing process or we consider that the price for the item is 0.I’m not sure that only adjusting the price of the item to 0 and then set the “normal” price could be a solution and if we could define aslo the start / end date for this free period. Thanks and Regardsanthony

Hi,In a customer contract you have 2 items as OOS.These items have the same planning of MP, but for one of the items, we cannot run the preventive maintenance in the winter months (ski station). If we set this line at seasonal in the contract (april to october for example), do we have an impact on the MP planning (no dates between november to march) ?Thanks and Regards  anthony
