Apps10 Update 8When a Control Plan is associated with a Shop Order, I can add shop order-specific data points for situations like one-off testing that I do not want in the standard Control Plan. I can also add Tools in the Shop Order > Control Plan > Tools tab. I would like to connect these new Tools to the shop order-specific data points, but there is no method available.If I can add the tools, why am I not able to connect them to any data point? What does one gain by adding tools to a shop order control plan if they cannot be used?

Hi Team, I want to extract a particular word from a string, I am using “regexp_substr”, but its not giving result as expected. TAB_NAME : Test TABLE IC_X_CUST_HEADER_F_123_TAB A, CUSTOMER_ORDER B, LEFTJOIN (PURHCASE_ORDER_LINE) From above text, I want to extract the word ‘IC_X_CUST_HEADER_F_123_TAB” , so I wrote below logic. SELECT regexp_substr(t.tab_name,'ic_[A-z]+[0-9]+) AS output FROM IC_TAB_LIST t; But, its not giving result. can anyone suggest ? Thanks,Srini  

Hi All, I want to give  grant permission to tables which are more in number. I have executed below logic , it is throwing below error “Encountered the symbol “GRANT” when expecting below “ Code used : DECLAREBEGINFOR R IN (SELECT TABLE_NAME FROM IC_TAB_LIST)LOOP    GRANT SELECT ON R.TABLE_NAME TO IFSAPPEND LOOP;END Here : IC_TAB_LIST = Table name, which has around 300 tables where i need to give permission. Please suggest asap.

Hello,When using billing generation to generate vouchers, its not pulling the non part usage items.If generating a voucher for a specific request, it will generate the NPU.

1, I created a new cost set (Cost Set 6) and assign M110 and  P110 Then I calculated the  std cost for a Manufactured Part , non of the manufacturing related cost buckets were fetched Any reason ?.When I calculated the std cost for the same part using cost set 2,cost was correctly calculated  Application Version= IFS 10 Your prompt assistance, very much appreciated

Hello, I have noticed an issue regarding the Estimating module that I do not understand. It appears that when bringing in an Existing Inventory Part and running a Calculate on the Estimate, the unit cost does not match the Part Cost in IFS. Sometimes it is off a few cents, others it can be more than $1. Below is a screen shot of a single Routing Op step part, in a single Site, with a basic Product Structure. Running Calculate on the Estimate shows a difference in the total cost:The Routing and Product Structures all match in the Estimate. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,After receiving materials, parts are automatically reserved in the project item navigator. We need to reserve materials on shop orders. This costs extra time and therfore i would like to change the auto reservations directly to the shop orders.Who can help me out?  

Hi, This problem is occurring in IFSAPP8.I would like to add a column to the details section of the Shop Order Availability screen to show the related operation number for each line. However, after I have added the ‘Operation No’ successfully via the Custom Objects>Fields>Create New process and generated the SHOP_MATERIAL_ALLOC_CFP package by Publishing the ShopMaterialAlloc Logical Unit. And selecting the option Custom Objects>Reload Configuration. When I then RMB on the details heading line of the screen and select Column Chooser, there is no ‘Operation No’ available. However, when I happened to look at the Shop Order Material Planning screen and tried RMB in the details heading line of this screen, the ‘Operation No’ was available to select!The selection of the Custom Objects>Fields>Overview option from both the Shop Order Availability screen and the Shop Order Material Planning screen shows that the Logical Unit is the same – which is ShopMaterialAlloc.Why is the Ope

Hi we are using apps 10 and have recently linked the material lines to the shop order operation on the product structure. The ‘Reserve/ issue method’ is set to Reserve and backflush’, since we have done this our planning department are now unable to automatically reserve material before releasing the shop order to manufacturing and the only way is to manually reserve each line item. the planner is promoted with the below warning message preventing them to auto reserve the material. does anyone know what it is causing this issue?regardsJamie 

Manufacturing visualizer is used to schedule shop order operations using drag and drop. Operations are typically rescheduled without compression, leaving subsequent operations and shop order finish dates the same. As soon as an operator reports any complete or scrapped quantities, the shop order is again backwards scheduled and the operation start and finish dates revert back. Is this preventable? Can IFS maintain the rescheduled/uncompressed finish date on the scheduled operation?IFSAPP10 Thanks,Eric

Hi guys,has anyone of you already detected if a split shop order split is processed that the “qty required” in the new shop order is wrong? It looks like it simply cumulates the values „Qty reserved“ and „Qty. required excl. Community, a question here. We don’t have MRO module, but we would like to register Part Certificate when doing procurement goods receiving. question here, is it possible to use IFS Part Certificate Registration with MRO? can it be used stand alone? Thank you.

We use IFS10, but i can only input 1 CSC at a time, is there a way i can input the same code multiple times? 

Is there a way to track who created a routing revision and what the old value was compared to the new value in the operations? 

Request your ideas and thoughts on how other clients and customers use the costing functionality when it comes to semi finished goods.Examples you bring in Product X to the inventory . Before the final product at intermediate levels the costing needs to be notified and calculated. Like your feedback and suggestions.Creating multiple shop orders would be one suggestion. Hence, having created multiple semi finished goods part records.

I’m attempting to build finished goods (master schedule level 1 parts) using an EOQ planning method (E or F). When running MS, it generates requisitions based on lot for lot logic, disregarding planning methods.I also attempted planning method G and set the order cover time out far enough to where many of these requisitions should be combined and there was no change. Am I missing something, does MS not consider planning methods?IFSApp10.
