We are running Cleanup of Inventory but no records are removed. We upgraded from APPS9 Upd#6 to APPS10 Upd#11 in September, Background job for Cleanup of Inventory show “Ready”. Is there something else we need to do to remove records from Inventory Part in Stock with “0” Qty on hand”. What am I missing? Thank you.
Hello all! Sometime, some operations is sub-contract in our shop order, because we have no capacity. A purchase requisition will be created automatically When ‘Ship WIP to suppliers’. Then buyer release PR and ‘requisition to order’. But sometime, after done these actions, the planner find we have capacity to manufacture this operation in our workshop, don’t need sub-contract this time. Then planner user reverse WIP shipment. Then delete this operation. At the same time, the related purchase order is canceled also. But buyer don’t want planner have right to cancel purchase order line, because buyer need confirm the PO status with supplier first. Maybe the supplier has finish the production, the PO line can not be canceled. My question is, how to forbidden planner user cancel PO line when he delete the sub-contract operation? The system just delete this operation. Don’t do anything on related purchase order line. The planner need inform buyer and then buyer do the action ‘cancel PO line
Community, borrow your brain here. we would like customer order line with package part, not be involved in the planning, so we need to uncheck “Release for Mtrl Planning” this box on customer order line, but system prompt the error. it said cannot be updated for package parts.how to make this happen? Thank you.
Is it possible to create a Kit - Part Number, that will relieve inventory of all the parts that make up that kit?
Hello - we are looking for a resource to guide us through getting IFS FDA certified for CFR 21 Part 11. Has anyone been through this process or worked with an IFS consultant to accomplish this? We have been spinning our wheels now for a couple of months and are hoping to get some traction through crowdsourcing.
Hello, I wonder as i said how does work “Extended Fiend Validation” option at rmb. And let me know why these “Warn If Result Selection Combo Exceeds” is passive at the “Purchase Order Line Part” area. I Though it can reassign the max records for shown in some screens, but i was not used it before. It can be usefull, if u let me know how it turn to active. Best Regards.
Hi, When we try to use the connect tool functionality in Manufacturing control plan, the following issue occurred. The connection can’t be created. What may be the possible root cause? Regards,Peshala

We have a situation where the customer is running in to a system crash for ALL users due to a middleware server data outage when running certain query parameters in the manufacturing visualizer from time to time.>> How was visualizer designed for and what technical limitations are related to the design>> What is the best practice and what action could be taken to mitigate a risk of such a system outage by using a query parameters that visualizer was not defined for? A simple typo could cause such an incident.
Working with a US customer that is about to start manufacturing one of their products in the UK, and have lots of parts in the BOM’s with UOM like feet, inch, gallon, lb, ounce, etc. They asked about having different UOM’s in the UK versus US and how could this work with Engineering Transfers to the different sites. They use Engineering Parts & Engineering Transfer today. They have the full CAD integration to IFS, and their drawings are also in the IFS doc man database. It is possible to have a different Inventory Part UOM versus the Part Master, as long as it’s same type of UOM (length, volume, weight) and the conversion factor is there. Inches to centimeters for example. However when it comes to Engineering Transfer, IFS does NOT do the BOM quantity conversion if the site’s UOM is different than the Engineering Part UOM. You get a warning on the different UOM, and it transfers the BOM with same Qty as on the Engineering BOM. You would have to convert it manually after, or us
What is the proper process when making entries for cycle counts and a part is reserved? We are preparing for annual physical inventory (only 2nd one in IFS) and had major issues with this last year at implementation. I have been advised that when counts are being entered that is different than what may be on hand and reserved that you are not allowed to save any of the entries on the current count sheet. Why is that? Perhaps we have a setting that is incorrect? Please advise ASAP, we are counting first week of Jan 2022 and I do not want to have to unreserve all the work in process at this point.
According to IFS Custom Menu type "PL/SQL Block" can be executed on both single and multiple rows but this is not the case while i attempted to do a simple display to see if it really works. Even though i selected multiple rows and run the Custom RMB menu it only processed the first row. Remaining rows are not picked. My code in the custom menu pl/sql block is as follows. This is on the purchase order lines. Trying to see the order numbers the error sys picks to see if all the selected orders are picked. DECLAREattr_ varchar2(32000);BEGINattr_ := &ORDER_NO ;Error_SYS.Record_General('PurchaseReqLine', '&Order_no:' || attr_);END;I selected the following rows and clicked on process multiple rows. The display is only for the first order I expected it to show all the three orders. Request to know why all the three rows are not picked.
Hi all,is there a way to translate part class in LU EngPartClass?I cannot find a possibility. May be there is a way over Basic Data Translation, but LU EngPartClass is not available there. Thanks for a feedback.BR,Jan
Is anyone currently using IFS to track DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) requirements?
When trying to use the Rework checkbox on a Shop Order in Apps10 UPD6, it works fine when the SO is in Started status but not when the SO is in Planned or Released status. It works fine in IEE when the SO is Planned or Released. Is this a known issue or bug, or just some peculiar design aspect that seems to makes no sense? Thanks,Nick
Hi, I alrady read the post: But i have futher question, where can I set those value(Planned Quantity, Duration)? in which screen Can I add more custom-attributes? even for other moduleThanks,
Hello,We are running apps 10 Aurena exclusively. I want to clearly differentiate the look of different environments (PROD, TST, DEV) so that users don’t accidentally do work in an environment that they don’t intend to (ie: you think you’re working in PROD but forgot you’re in TST). Ideally, changing the colour or something equally clear, for all users of the environment. Is that possible?Thank you,Warren
Can I display the material (components) in the APB?Does the APB take into account the stock of components for planning, including the lead time of the individual components? How can I set this or what are the basic settings?BR
We delivered a few customer order lines with the Supply Code of Service Order. We now need to undo the delivery. I opened the customer order in Undo Customer Order Delivery. When I right click on one of the order lines, the Undo Line Delivery menu option is greyed out/disabled. When I right click on the header and click on the menu option Undo Delivery, I get the Error Message “Cannot undo customer order delivery for customer order lines with supply code Service Order.” Any ideas on how to work around or resolve this issue so that the lines can be un-delivered? thanks!
I would like to create a custom field in routing that links to a FQDN network share with instructions. The engineers update the Word documents on the network share so I don’t want to attach, just have a clickable link in IFS.
Hi All, We are moving to use the IFS cyclic counting, this is working well in test, management want to add in a value over that requires approval. So I’ve set up at Site level as below and this works to get the count report to state that Approval is needed. However the user can just confirm the line themselves - which seems wrong. Is this a permission issues? Id’ like to add who can approve, but this doesn’t seem possible, am I correct? Thanks for reading, Sarah
Hi Community ! Hope everyone is doing okayish (at this point, even okayish is great !) I’m working on the manufacturing side of a business using IFS 9We’ve had some problem with a Serialised part not showing the proper Multilevel structure. Here’s the context. very much simplified structure is : PN 100 PN 101 PN 102 Parts were manufactured and shop orders were closed correctly. We then opened a multilevel repair shop order for 100 (SO100), salvaged 101 and opened another multi-level shop order for 101 (SO101). Work was conducted on SO 101 and was eventually closed and part was re-issued to SO100 and was closed putting a PN100 back in stock. Now, we need to repair PN100 again so we open another repair SO (SO102) but this is where we get the problem, there’s no as-built structure for this PN100 that was put in inventory by repair SO100. So we can’t multi-level repair it. I found after searching a bit that the As-Built REV of the part 101 coming from SO101 is (2) and the as-built Rev
Attempting to schedule operations using the advanced planning board. Ops 10 and 20 on each shop order are routed to the same work center. I would like to schedule these operations back to back and complete both operations before moving to a different shop order. The APB is scheduling operation 10 from one order, then operation 10 from another order, then back to operation 20 on the original, then 20 on the next and so on.Is there a way to influence scheduling to complete both operations on one order before moving on to the next order?
Our customer in Japan wants performance example / reference of same scale company. The customer does not need detailed one, just wants to know the same scale company runs IFS ERP with no performance issue. So would appreciate if someone could share following performance example info. <Our customer info>Target IFS applications version : IFS Cloud 22 Solution scope: Manufacturing, Sales, Purchase, Logistics and Finance Data volume: BOM#: 3M, Components#: 2-3K End user#: Over 2K Concurrent user# under 100) <Needed example>IFS applications version : Apps10(Aurena, IEE), IFS Cloud Solution scope: Mostly same (Not needed to cover all our customer solution scope) Data volume: Mostly same <Needed info>Partial one is also appreciatedInfrastructure design (mostly focused on network) Application scope Main Master data, transaction volume Response time for main function (Online / Batch) Overall performance status ( Is there any performance issue, problem etc.)
Hi Team, one of our customers are experiencing a performance degradation in disposition task summary window. Test plan is quite simple, Navigate to the Disposition Task Summary window and select a line.RMB and Include to DispositionThis will take very long time to execute. Are there any fixes done from RnD end to rectify this issue?
