Can anyone explain the changes in booking of shop order variances between 7.5 and 10?We recently upgraded from 7.5 to 10.Process:Close shop orderRoll CostsRe-open shop orderRe-close shop order In 7.5, the re-close of the shop order created exactly the same variances as the original close, so the net on material variance, labor variance and overhead variance and the diff accounts was zero.In 10, the reclose of the shop order is creating major changes in material, labor and overhead and offsetting it in the diff account. This is causing major issues for those trying to monitor these variances.  Can anyone explain what the system is doing? 

I have entered Manual Historical Demand Planning Data on a Part. The Part is also displayed in DP, but the Manual Historical Demand Planning Data not. I have already run the Complete DP Data Refresh job.Where is the error? Thanks for your help.

Does anyone know if there’s a mechanism to prevent sales group discounts from customer agreements on certain parts, other than reassigning a separate sales group for those parts? 

Hi, We are using the Kanban circuits system and have set trigger points appropriatly. Our problem is that the shop orders start and finish dates vary according to what time of day or week they are created. What we require is to fix the lead time to 3 days, two days in sheet metal and one day in paint. Sometimes the order starts and finishes in two days and others it 4 days, which then means the stock becomes very low.Is there an answer to this issue.thanks 

I am just getting into IFS and I am wondering if there is a way to make the default sort for users on specific pages/tables like Inventory Transaction History set to newest to oldest. Currently it shows the olded data at the top which isn’t really useful. If I could set it to default with the newest data at the top it would be ideal.  Thanks!

Why am I not seeing the capacity on the Manufacturing Visualizer using the Labor Operation Load in Standard Hours, it shows the team Available Capacity.  I believe it used to, not sure why I’m not seeing it.  The work center has daily capacity in the time frame I’m looking.  I have also tried it for another business that is machine drive and it doesn’t show for Machine Operation Load in Standard Hours.  I have capacity in all workcenters.

I’m brand new to IFS, so please bare with me.  I have been tasked with trying to use IFS as our calibrations tracking software.     Although its not meant for this - I’ve been told to “make it work”.I’m looking at : Quality Management > Tool > Manufacturing ToolIn the “Tool Detail” section there is a field called “Work Center”.    This is NOT an available field on the search page.    My question is: is this field searchable somehow?    I need the “Tool Detail” section’s fields for individual gauge info that will not fit in the fields that are actually searchable by the search window. data like:Mfg, model, s/n, reference standard(yes/no), specific product its used on. Thanks for your assistance.Calibration Guy

Is there a way to have the Delivery Address on a Party be automatically updated if the Customer’s default Delivery Address changes? In the example below, the Customer’s Address Identity 3 was deleted but it was still referenced on the Party record. This caused an error when generating work orders for the Object because the Party Delivery Address wasn’t valid.

Is there a way to put a reference part on a manufacturing BOM?  We would like to add a specification to our BOM.  We don’t want to have to issue this part or put quantities in inventory, we just want it to be a reference number. 

Hello All, We are running client IFS version 9.0.52.0 and server version 6.90.19.0 I am looking to see if we can utilize the functionality of Business Mail. However, I have some questions. Is there a document that explains how the Business Mail works? How can I connect the Business Mail to the Business Opportunity? Is there an email app that I need to load in my Outlook to be able to connect to IFS? Any help will be beneficial for our team.

Hi Community we are using IFS APP 10 and using the process ‘shop order infinite scheduling’ to schedule our production plans. we are trying to establish a best practice for reviewing and actioning action proposals generated when we run MRP weekly. Currently only a few of the action proposals and actioned and the rest generally ignored.does anyone know of documentation that can identify a best practice or standard approach to take when reviewing action proposals?I'm guessing not all action proposals are equal? so I am trying to identify the hierarchy of importance so our planning department can filter those action proposals on the MRP action proposal workbench. any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.kind regardsJamie 

Community,  Couple questions:can an Engineering Part revision be released while the CR status is ACTIVE and not yet PROCESSED?  can an Engineering Part revision be released if the CO status is not processed as COMPLETE?Thank you.

Hello, I was wondering in Apps. 10, if there is any way to put an horizon on the MRP calculations. Or is it for all time like Apps. 9?I know that in Master Schedule you can define a planning horizon. Can you do something similar for MRP? Thanks for looking!

Hi, I need a SQL statement, using MANUF_STRUCRE view, this SQL can be drilled down to the bottom of the MBOM, and have all the materials listed?  The layout will be like the contents in the window Product Structure Tab Multilevel Structure. is it possible to have this SQL statement? Thank you.

Hi All, What are the replacements for back end tables OP_CLOCKING_TAB and OP_MACHINE_TAB in cloud? they are Operation Status Per Employee and Machine Codes screens in 7.5. But, i cannot see them in cloud altogether with components SHPEMP and SHPREP.What are the replacement pages for these in cloud 21R2?ThanksRoshanga
