Has anyone been able to come up with a solution in the core system to switch ownership of material from Company Owned to Customer Owned and back again? At the moment we’re looking at a potential modification or perhaps a complex custom event that will generate and receipt the PO for us, just reaching out in case there’s something we’re missing here as an option. This is for lot batch tracked materials in inventory to be used in shop orders.

Please provide an example a description of the usual data flow in ETO and project delivery.Is it going like this?: 1. step: Modul Product Estimate Management - assembly (preliminary) of the part peak including phantom items.2. step: CAD & PDM: ENGINEERING BOM including phantom items.3. step: MANUFACTURING BOM including phantom items whith and production times.4. step: Project Management: Automatic creation of the project structure (WBS) of the product. And project planning..5. step: Make manufactoring order: From the structure of the pre-production phase (only for part - with the status approved for production).  Thank you!  

Hi,What is the user case behind the Start Downtime and Stop Downtime functionality in Shop Floor Workbench?If I Start Downtime on an ongoing operation, why only the machine time clocking stop and labor keep on clocking? Why not Stop Production?  Is it wrong practice to use Start Downtime on an ongoing operation, instead of Interrupt the operation?Cheers

We recognize revenue based on our IFS customer projects we set up. Is there a way to link multiple customer projects to an IFS contract so we can easily compile all the projects information related to one contract?  

We are trying to close out a project but we get the message that there is some work that remains to be completed.  When we go to the Unfinished Activity Work window the message reads,‘There is at least one Project Transaction which has not been completely invoiced or where Multi-Company Reporting Revenue voucher has not been created.’How do we resolve this issue?  The project has transactions from back in like 2006, 2007, 2008 so invoicing is not an option.  We just want to close this project.

Hi everybody!We are having trouble with finding a solution for internal transports within production. We want to notify the dedicated forklift driver when a WIP is ready to be transported from a work center to another within IFS. We were not able to solve the issue with ‘transport task’ because it’s a WIP.  The forklift is equipped with a IFS computer so we also considered using ’quick report’ to form a list that shows all work centers and their current status, but this solution also has its problems.Does anyone have a suggestion to this problem? All help is appreciated!Charles

Hi, How can we see in the easiest way if we can manage customer order lines with a steady output of a shop order? Let’s say we have a big shop order over several months of 200.000 pieces, producing 100 pieces /day. We have several costumer order lines, each week wanting 400 pieces for example.As we produce 100 pieces a day, it should not be a problem to deliver these costumer order lines. However, in the Inventory Part Availabilty overview screen, we only see the projected stock at the end date of the shop order. So all the costumer lines go in negative projected inventory untill we actually do the reporting, so it doesn’t tell ‘if everything goes according to plan, these customer order lines will be ok in the future’ How can we see that with the current planning, we will be able to deliver (or not)?  

Is there a way to refresh the “Part Description” field to the value that comes in when you first add a part other than changing the part number, and then changing it back?   

Greetings to all! :) To include the Cost from the OutsideOperationItem (purchased part) used for Outside Operation we must manually enter a value in the column "unit cost" in the  view Outside Operation Cost.   When it is not entered in the view Outside Operation Cost - it is not included in the Part Cost Calculation for the Main Part where the Outside Operation ITEM is included in the routing.   We have the cost for this Outside Operation item in the Purchase Part (Supplier for Purchase Part),    Why do we have to enter the value again in outside operation cost? Can this be automized?Event?Or is

Hello,  I need to find a way to view when a Aurena screen change was published.  We have a screen that has gotten some configuration stuck and will not save without error’s.  Would like to track down a way to see publish actions that have taken place on that screen to try and see what caused this and possibly rollback to that timeframe. Thanks in advance.

Is there a way to get a list of products that will expire before they are used or sold based on the current forecasted demand? We produce fresh food products and juices, both the ingredients and finished goods have relatively short shelf life. We would like to be able to see what items we are long on so that we can take actions to either sell or donate them instead of purging the products. We are on Apps 10 update 5

I need to filer the data from login person’s person id. I create PERSON_ID column in data source and try it in data element.This is a counter, but  it’s passing null value for the parameter.  How can I fix this issue or can I used global parameter(‘#PERSON_ID#’) for the url?

Does anyone have any experience of applying a material overhead cost per batch for Shop Order/Part costs?We want to apply the cost of using an adhesive to stick components together,  for different parent parts have a different adhesive and hence cost.I’ve tried using Part Specific Overheads but although I can create the cost element, I can’t get IFS to recognise it on the drop down when I try adding it.There be something basic I am doing wrong - any ideas?

In apps8, is there a way to customize the display (like column chooser) of change request from the attachments in the context pane.My need is to add the CO status after the CR status because the last status of the CR is “processed” but that does not mean that the CO is completed. And similarly, can we add the checkbox “action completed” in the change action from the attachments in the context pane in order to allow the user to complete his action without right-clicking on the action line and navigate to the change order actions. Thanks for your helpCarole

When Navigating Project Navigator > one of the activity > demand tab > misc partsI am unable to see all the available columns of it.Even though all the visible columns are on the list unable to see all of them together. it’s having morecursor is at the end of it but it’s having more columns. Also, the cursor is harder to differentiate from the main cursor, it has to be the same as the parent cursor but it’s not.  All of them fall under customization. 

In the shop order window there are negative pegged values available in a shop order. Any thoughts on how this might have happened and how to resolve it?Appreciate your ideas regarding this .

I am using Contexts in Aurena and using Context mapping by user groups (all working well in UPD10) HOWEVER what I would like to know is does anyone know how to duplicate a context.   Reason being - I have created a context for Frontline but I have 3 user groups that need to use this context and context mapping will not allow me to assign more then one user group (unless I’m doing that wrong as well) and I don’t want to have to do all the page updates in each new context. Hope this makes sense and somebody has an answer.  :-)

Is there an option within IFS Business Reporter to display design rows/ columns even when there are null values when the report is run? For example, our current BR reports will not display rows/ columns where the GL Balance amount is zero. The report only will shows those columns and rows where GL Balance data is not null. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

In standard IFS 10 Functionality of Copy project, I use source project with a Delivery project and have defined a site as well. However, if my destination project does not have a site defined, I cannot proceed.Why default site is not fetching here? If I select copy Delivery Project, you will ended up with following error. To correct this, I have move back to the previous and select the source project site from the list or move out and define a site and redo the same process.This is not a user friendly behaviour and expect default site to be fetch by default. Any standard patch available? Please note this can be recreated only if you select Copy Delivery project in step  2/4. It is because site is mandatory for delivery project. 

I’m really struggling with the Project Forecast functionality and the matching When I create my forecast I have a new line in it (highlighted) which is not connected to an ActivityWhen I manually add the sub project ID and Activity ID and try and save I get an error messageI do have a snapshot connected but when I disconnect it I lose all the values in the other linesAny advice on what the warning symbol is and how I add the new line to the forecast ?Thank you

When there is a multi-company invoice set up, Is it possible to attach the project invoice to the supplier invoice which has generated in the other company? Customer is having such a requirement since project invoice is will not be visible in Aurena and they compel to jump between different entities to gather the invoice information. The checkbox is only editable when using E-INVOICE media code. (not available for MHS code) However, the customer requirement is “MHS” media code which is not available.(After the document is saved in the same document class of that of the company.) Is there another way or even a workaround for this process?

In MRO interim order structure, when you RMB on a level of the tree navigator and go to Automatic Disassembly, you have the option 'Include Sub Levels'. This is automatically checked. I do understand it's being automatically checked when you RMB from the header, but when you do so from the navigator I believe it shouldn't be checked automatically as we want to disassemble the MRO SO interdependently
