I have a unique process in which a great yield is anywhere between 40%-50%. I’d like to know if there’s a way to have the cost of the scrapped quantity within a shop order absorbed into the parts that are yielded? I only want to this for the small set of parts that are made using this process.
Hi all, On the dispatch list in the shop floor workbench I would like to have the dop header nr visible. Anyone knows how to make this value visible in the shop floor workbench? With or without a CRIM item. Kind regards. Willem

Community,Wondering what is the best option for customer component repair, Work order or Shop Order? We are using APP10, Products are manufactured in house and ship to customer. If customer had issues with the product, it will be transport back to our shop floor.Question: will CRO applied to our scenario? Repair shop order or Work Order, which one is better? we do have both 2 modules installed. if no CRO, which is the best option to bring the customer products back to our site with customer owned ownership?Thank you.
Why does the Alternate Module not contain the same Position Parts as the Prime Module, given that it was not created as a separate template? Should it not inherit the Position Parts from the Prime Module in this case?
Why does the Shop Order Tracked Structure not display correctly in all situations in the Shop Floor Workbench (Dispatch List → Tracked Structure tab) when using the Show commands, sometimes showing “No data” even though all component parts are assigned? Create a shop order with Order Type = Manufactured for a serial-tracked part. a. Ensure the serial-tracked part includes component parts that are serial- and/or lot/batch-tracked. Release the shop order. Reserve all components. Navigate to the Shop Order Tracked Structure page and verify that all component parts are assigned. Navigate to the Shop Floor Workbench. Open Shop Floor Workbench → Dispatch List → Tracked Structure tab. Execute Show → Assigned Components. In some situations, “No data” is displayed even though all component parts are assigned. Additional Information: When you switch between commands in the “Show command” group, the data is eventually populated and displayed correctly. This indicates that the Sho
Hi all, Is there a possibility in IFS cloud to enrich the pegged shop order number with the dop header number? E.g dop header number is 15, all pegged shop orders will start with 15-…Kind regards, Willem

Hello. We have a trouble about the product status field in the inventory part screen. The revision 3 is the current one, but the product status is still set to “not in effect” and it should be “in effect” : The status is actually set to buildable : Any solution? Thanks
Our assembly process requires in-house painted parts. But historically our paint process has been outside of IFS. Sometimes we paint a full product, sometimes we paint the front of a product, so we’d like to track the ‘painted’ surface area on each part that is painted.Where would be the recommended fields to keep this information stored within IFS?
While changing the Disposition Line status to Part Identified, the following error message is displayed:“The value Of the inventory transaction may not be 0 for xxx on Site xx.”Test Steps;Open the Disposition Shop Order screen. Right-click (RMB) on the Disposition Line and choose Part Identified. The below error message will appear.
Hello,When calculating a Part cost in Product costing, it calculates the cost for 1pce or standard batch size. Is it possible to calculate costs for different batch sizes. For example, if our manufactured product is using purchased components and we have a pricing added behind the supplier of the component for several different batch sizes, is it possible to calculate our manufacturing cost for 1pce, 5pcs and 10pcs, so that it take into account those price steps we have from our material supplier?
Hello team, I looking to see if there is a way we can configure IFS only issue/backflush material that is in the Work Center’s Inbound location for a shop order? I’ve tried updating the the Work Center Outside Reserve/Backflush to Not Allowed (this option will not allow shop order reservations until they are moved to Inbound location) and Reserve Only (this option will allow me to reserve from where I would like but does not stop me from issuing material that is not in the inbound locations). Thanks in advance!
Hi all,When I release a DOP order, a Shop Order is automatically created. However, in some cases, this Shop Order immediately gets the status “Completely Reported” .I’ve noticed that in the originating DOP order, all material lines have a required quantity of 0.Also: Netting is not used in this case The required quantity for the manufactured part is set to 1 in the upper level of the structure Has anyone experienced this before or knows which setting or condition could cause this behavior? And more importantly, how can this be prevented?Kind regards,WillemLevel 1 required qty for the part wherefor i expect a shop order is created= 1: Level 2 all materials lines for the sub assembly for which a shop order is created in the status completely reported:
Hi all,I have a question regarding internal logistics during Shop Order execution. In some cases, WIP needs to be physically moved by logistics between two Work Centers between two operations on the same Shop Order. Is there a standard functionality in IFS Cloud to: Trigger internal logistics that WIP is ready to be moved? Generate a transport task is not possible because it is WIP, but another signal or other notification to inform warehouse/logistics staff that something needs to be transferred between operations? Kind regards,Willem
Hi all,We are setting up a Kanban Reorder Point Request Schedule that runs at a defined interval.Sometimes, however, a shortage or internal shortage (e.g., stock not available at the correct supply location) can occur. This may only be discovered during production. Is there a standard way in IFS Cloud to: Alert users proactively when such a shortage situation arises or other error without checking every time the background job results? Perhaps a message when a Kind regards,Willem
For Cloud 24R1+, I am looking for a comprehensive list of what functions/commands can be executed by Part Cost Group. For example, I can use PCG in the function Update Part Specific Overheads to control which parts to include in the function. In what other functions is Part Cost Group available as a selection?
Hi All.Is it possible to control the IFS standard so that Dop Order alarms are not generated? Our client is experiencing performance issues due to a large number of Dop Order alarms being created. Therefore, I would like to prevent Dop Order alarms from being generated.Best Regards.
Which view(s) should I use to reconstruct the multi-level cost structure (with all components)?
Is there a way to backflush material in a Shop Order without getting the following error? Parent part is multilevel tracking enabled and serializedThe error doesn’t appear when the “Manual Reservation” is done. However, even in manual reservation the locations available are all locations and not only the backflushing locations even though they are defined on the component level.
I am trying to generate a GS1 QR Code in IFS Report Designer but cannot find a way to create a group separate to separate the columns that will create the QR Code. Wadaco Configuration has been created so that FNC1 code 10 = LOT_BATCH_NO and code 241 = PART_NO. I therefore created a READ ONLY custom field that using the following SELECT statement: SELECT '10'||lot_batch_no||chr(29)||'241'||part_no FROM INVENTORY_PART_BARCODE WHERE objid = :objid If I copy and paste the value from the custom field into Wadaco GS1 Barcode 1 on clicking SAVE the the value of the LOT_BATCH_NO is displayed in the Lot Batch field and the value of PART_NO is displayed in the Part No field. Unfortunately, adding the custom field to IFS Report Designer the ascii value appears to be ignored as copying the value displayed on the report and pasting it as above the full value appears in the Lot Batch field. Can someone please advise on how to get the group separator ascii value 29 - CHR(29) to work. Many th
Created an inventory part, its product structure and routing. Also created a repair structure revision and repair routing revision of the same. Then completed a manufacturing shop order of that part. Then created a repair type shop order of the part > reserved it > issued it. On the “shop order multilevel repair structure” page, the repair shop order is visible but on expanding the sidebar it does not show any subitems.>>Any prerequisites missing for that?
In the Disposition Shop Order, when I RMB on the Disposition Line → Select Part Identified. I get the below error message.“The quantity reserved tor part XXX on site xx at location xxx should not be negative.” Could anyone assist me with this.
Need a little guidance here. I created a lot-controlled part with a lot size of 1 and it created the as-built structure for each lot I created. I have a repair structure and a repair routing, and I create a repair shop order and ensure that I turn on multi-level repair before I save the shop order. I am getting the materials that I may issue as part of the repair as materials as well as the finished good part on the shop order materials. I then manually reserve the lot number of the finished good part but here’s the rub. I am NOT getting the multi-level repair structure as I have in the past with serialized parts. What am I missing??The documentation says it’s possible but…Thanks in advance!
