This post is relevant for manufacturing customers using operational reports. It is a heads-up that we are planning to deprecate below listed operational reports.

Background

Although the transition to paperless manufacturing is still in progress, the demand for printed documentation or reports shared as PDFs has noticeably decreased. We have several reports that we believe are either not used or have numerous alternative options available in IFS Cloud for sharing such information. Maintaining these reports still consumes time that could be better spent developing new functionality. Therefore, we plan to deprecate these reports

Reports planned to be deprecated

  • Kanban Audit Report
  • Kanban Supplier Receipt History Report
  • Capability Graph Data
  • Qman Sample Value
  • SPC Graph Sample Data for Variables
  • Analysis Result History
  • Recipe Print Out
  • Routing Report
  • Structure Information Report
  • Structure/Routing Report

What happens now?

This deprecation will be communicated officially via the release notes in IFS Cloud 25R1 GA, but we wanted to give this information as a heads-up and also give the opportunity to give feedback if some of these reports are used in a use case where information cannot be shared in another way.

From a costing point of view we are losing the following…

  • Routing Report
  • Structure Information Report
  • Structure/Routing Report

...which we had been using alongside a Crystal Report for our costing process and has become part of the financial audit.
Losing these reports along with the deprecation of Crystal reports is going to cause us major problems.

Thanks for the feedback @darylslinn . Could you elaborate a bit on how these reports are used in the costing process?

Our financial auditors demand proof by way of a report of the factors that make up a product cost, hence the use of the routing and structure reports.

Please can you confirm that the Analysis results (not history) is excluded from the list of operational reports you are planning to deprecate? At least one of our customers is an active user of the Analysis Results operational report.

Many thanks

Dave
