We want to use the Generate Document action from Employee File in IFS Cloud 21R2. We did all the required setups on Word Template Definition and generated the Mail Merge Template without any problems.When using the action to Generate Document, the system retrieves and open the file, but no HTML is created and therefore no Mail Merge can occur.  Are there any other setups that need to be done to get this to work or should I report this as a bug?  Attached the Word doc template that we tried with as both .doc and .docmAppreciate any feedback.Regards,Jacques

Hello  Wondering if anyone ran into similar situation. Our managers use “Time Group Reporting” to create deviation days for the bulk of employees (whole shift for example) or for longer periods of times. Using “Employee Deviation Days” for situations like this is very time consuming and inefficient. The problem we get is when we register a deviation day which is a day off (non-working day). When we try to authorize such day (which has no attendance or other clockings) we get and error that: “The Time Card already exists”. After short investigation I find out that “Time Group Reporting” creates a empty time card  in database for any day that has been updated as deviation day, hence this prevent day from being authorized. “Employee Deviation Days” while does exact same function does not have this issue (empty time card is not created in DB). Hello.We are using APP 10 UPD 5 and we have harsh issues with the IFS badge reader.While the badge reader is in online mode, employees can badge and it works very well.While the badge reader is in offline mode, nothing works, the reader can’t read any badge.I asked what’s written on the badge to someone who installed these readers, he told me there is the ID badge on it.What’s the way to make this badge reader work? is that a configuration issue or badges need to be updated?

Hi IFS-Community! We want to set up the team calendar for an easy way to check the coworkers holiday plans. Our employees enter their holidays in the Absence Window. A normal Employee is only allowed to see his/her own Absences.  The current teamcalender setup leads to the following:The Employees can only see their own absences. If we give position acces as followed in the pics, the employees can see their coworkers absences in the teamcalendar which ist great. BUT they also can see their coworkers absences in the Absence window which is absolutely not okay!    Why is a teamcalender setup done if access to all absences needs to be granted as well?  Or am I on a wrong track?  Best, Veronika

One of the customers have reported that they are seeing the below attached error when navigating to the "My Time Registration" and "My Time Registration - Grid View" Screens. They have seen this issue after the SU8 was applied to the customer environment.I spun up a new DEV Environment in the Build Place and I was able to recreate the above issue for the same customer. I believe this might be something to do with Metadata, because I could not find any invalids in the DB as well. From reading posts on the community it doesn’t appear that going down the Personal Data Management route is going to help as this will just update the DB value and then we will not know what the SSN is when HR need it.Is there another way to Mask the data so only  those with HR application Manager access can see the SSN?

Hi Team,It was noticed that when trying to change expense codes on expense sheet in Preliminary state It allows when registered as a normal expense sheet but its not allowing to change the expense codes of the expenses added from credit card transactions. What is the standard functionality behind this?

We have an issue with the Supervisor access setup that some supervisors can see the employees that they are not authorized to see. So after looking in IFS documentation, we found this database task “Refresh Access Cache” can solve the problem and after running this job it solved the issue.But in the documentation, I see the below message.This task refreshes the access security cache fully. This task should be executed only when there is a prediction about wrong entries existing in the access cache.We are planning to run this daily but not sure how we can predict wrong entries predictions. We are using Apps 10 and moved to Aurena 18 months ago.Our Human Resources department are wanting to use IFS for storing information about benefits so I started to investigate the Benefit Management area in IEE. I have now looked for the equivalent screens in Aurena and can’t see them. Is the Benefit Management area being withdrawn from Aurena/Cloud? We will be moving to cloud later this year so I would also be interested if there was new functionality for this. ThanksPaul

Hi,We have been using Aurena for a year and have recently moved to Apps10 UPD19.We have noticed that a Multi Field property that has 15 fields is only offering 10 fields and the validity period in Aurena.  The missing fields are not available in the field picker.:  This is the configuration of that Multi Field Property (I have tried moving the TLP field up a few to see if it appears - it didn’t):I also had a look at page designer and it did seem to have 15 fields defined.Has anyone else spotted this and is there a solution/workaround? ThanksPaul

When an absence is reported in Time Card page, the Edit and Delete buttons are not visible in the Time Registration - Calendar view.Register Absence for Jan 15th using Time Card - Grid and for Jan 16th using Time Card - Details pages.Check the outcome in the Time Registration - Edit and Delete buttons are missing in Jan 16th 

Hi All!Here is an issue on person view (PERSON_INFO_ALL). The name value is replaced by other field value only on a specifica date ¼/2023. FIRST NAME become TITLE and LAST NAME become (Another field value).How it is possible that the two fields (Title and another) may slip in mass to FIRST NAME and LAST NAME FIELD?Thanks to any insight on this subject. 

Hi Community,since a few days we have the problem that when the employees of the HR department want to change times and then recalculate the day, they receive the error message not authorized for time and attendance.Nothing has changed in the permissions. The access roles have not been changed either. Because they have not been changed, I do not know how to solve this problem. It must be a changed right that the IFSAPP and the scheduled database job can recalculate the days.Where are these authorizations managed in IFS? RegardsAndré

Hi, Can anyone please elaborate me on how to generate carryforward absence limits for more than one year?For example, employee A got 20 unused days of earned leaves in 2021 and another 20 unused earned leaves in 2022. When we are generating Carry forward absence limits for 2023, I would expect to see (20+20) = 40. However, system shows me 20 days (that is the CF balance from 2022 only). 

The users used to claim newspaper allowance and conveyance allowance by applying in ESS. However, from November 2023, the newspaper reimbursement and conveyance allowance shall be paid with the salary. Therefore, the system should allow the users to claim the newspaper reimbursement and conveyance allowance till October 2023. The system should restrict or disable the functionality while applying reimbursement/allowance from the month of November 2023. Requested you to look into the case.

Hi!I have the following situation:I use the flexible break rule. The rule says that after 6 hours the system calculates 30 minutes break and after 9 hours an additional 15 minutes are calculated. I ust Break on work hoursNow I have the following situation: The employees are allowed to take a break longer than defined in the flexible break rule. For example the employee has to take a break of 30 minutes after 6 hours but he is also allowed to make a break longer than that. My normal schedule goes from 06:00 to 14:30. So 8 hours normal work and 0,5 hours break. If I just clock in and out at the beginning and end of the work day everything works fine. I also use a flex day rule:Now I have the issue that if my break is longer than in the flex break rule this time gets deducted from my normal time instead of my flex time.I get those results:I would expect a result of 8,00 hours for wage code Z100 and a deduction of 0,25 hours from my flex time account. Hello, We are using IFS9 and one specific user is getting the following message when opening the New Employee Wizard; If Ok is clicked, nothing happens.The Information Message disappears but the employee can not be created.We tried to clear cache, cookies,  tried connecting with multiple browsers, resetting the user profile but nothing seems to work. Users from the same organization are not having the problem so it is not something related to any VPN or Firewall.    Has anyone encountered the same issue? If yes, how can be fixed? Thanks,

Hello Everyone,I am trying to set absence limits for employees and am getting the error message ORA-20124: Error.NULLVALUE: Field [ABS_LIMIT_DIMENSION] is mandatory for Absence Limit Value and requires a value.when I use the “generate limit” button in the “absence limit log” page (and also the “absence limit year” page.I believe I have set up the absence limit definition, limit definition details, and limit value details correctly, as shown in the screen shots below - but I must be missing something.These are the settings for the absence type this is one of the employee file records I am getting the same error for a contractor type employee and a permanent type employee.If anyone is able to assist, I would be very grateful.Many thanks in advance - Dave IFS Cloud 22R2.5
