Hi All!Here is an issue on person view (PERSON_INFO_ALL). The name value is replaced by other field value only on a specifica date ¼/2023. FIRST NAME become TITLE and LAST NAME become (Another field value).How it is possible that the two fields (Title and another) may slip in mass to FIRST NAME and LAST NAME FIELD?Thanks to any insight on this subject. 

Hi Community,since a few days we have the problem that when the employees of the HR department want to change times and then recalculate the day, they receive the error message not authorized for time and attendance.Nothing has changed in the permissions. The access roles have not been changed either. Because they have not been changed, I do not know how to solve this problem. It must be a changed right that the IFSAPP and the scheduled database job can recalculate the days.Where are these authorizations managed in IFS? RegardsAndré

Hi, Can anyone please elaborate me on how to generate carryforward absence limits for more than one year?For example, employee A got 20 unused days of earned leaves in 2021 and another 20 unused earned leaves in 2022. When we are generating Carry forward absence limits for 2023, I would expect to see (20+20) = 40. However, system shows me 20 days (that is the CF balance from 2022 only). 

The users used to claim newspaper allowance and conveyance allowance by applying in ESS. However, from November 2023, the newspaper reimbursement and conveyance allowance shall be paid with the salary. Therefore, the system should allow the users to claim the newspaper reimbursement and conveyance allowance till October 2023. The system should restrict or disable the functionality while applying reimbursement/allowance from the month of November 2023. Requested you to look into the case.

Hi,I’m working with Calculation Formulas and need to check against calculation fields if they’re empty.I’ve tried to check for= ‘’= ‘!%’<> ‘%’and only an equal sign without defining a value (= )None of these options work. Does anybody know how you can search for it? Thanks! 

Hi!I have the following situation:I use the flexible break rule. The rule says that after 6 hours the system calculates 30 minutes break and after 9 hours an additional 15 minutes are calculated. I ust Break on work hoursNow I have the following situation: The employees are allowed to take a break longer than defined in the flexible break rule. For example the employee has to take a break of 30 minutes after 6 hours but he is also allowed to make a break longer than that. My normal schedule goes from 06:00 to 14:30. So 8 hours normal work and 0,5 hours break. If I just clock in and out at the beginning and end of the work day everything works fine. I also use a flex day rule:Now I have the issue that if my break is longer than in the flex break rule this time gets deducted from my normal time instead of my flex time.I get those results:I would expect a result of 8,00 hours for wage code Z100 and a deduction of 0,25 hours from my flex time account. Hello, We are using IFS9 and one specific user is getting the following message when opening the New Employee Wizard; If Ok is clicked, nothing happens.The Information Message disappears but the employee can not be created.We tried to clear cache, cookies,  tried connecting with multiple browsers, resetting the user profile but nothing seems to work. Users from the same organization are not having the problem so it is not something related to any VPN or Firewall.    Has anyone encountered the same issue? If yes, how can be fixed? Thanks,

Hello Everyone,I am trying to set absence limits for employees and am getting the error message ORA-20124: Error.NULLVALUE: Field [ABS_LIMIT_DIMENSION] is mandatory for Absence Limit Value and requires a value.when I use the “generate limit” button in the “absence limit log” page (and also the “absence limit year” page.I believe I have set up the absence limit definition, limit definition details, and limit value details correctly, as shown in the screen shots below - but I must be missing something.These are the settings for the absence type this is one of the employee file records I am getting the same error for a contractor type employee and a permanent type employee.If anyone is able to assist, I would be very grateful.Many thanks in advance - Dave IFS Cloud 22R2.5

Hi Experts, When I generate absence (manual absence type) it work only if the valid from date is before Month of August. If any limits are defined on or after august it does not generate any value.E.g Absence generated from 1 July 2023 - 31 December 2023. This works fine as shown below. However, if I generate absence after July, e.g 1st August -2023 - 31 December 2023. It does not generate any limits even it says limits generated. Limit detail is empty.   Is there any parameter to generate absence for the latter parts of the year?  Thanks. 

Our Timeclock has button for Balance. It brings up new window for showing the balance, but there is no data except name on left upper corner. Buttons for timecard and arrival time are setup same way and those work fine, but balance is not showing up. (Sorry for finnish language. Name under Saldo=balance, but no info on Balance type or value)  This is configuration for Balance button.

Hi all,Apps10 UPD18We have had quite a few bugs with ongoing absences not working as expected.When a user has ongoing absence ticked and then returns to work. The clocking will end the ongoing absence as expected. Fine.However when a user returns to work and either forgets to clock in or works from home then even if the ongoing absence has been unticked by HR then it reticks the ongoing absence when the background job runs at 12.10am to forward the absence.The only way to prevent this from happening is to remove the absence interval in time card day as well as unticking the ongoing absence.Is this expected and normal behaviour?Would it not make sense for the absence interval for that day to also be removed when ongoing is unticked as its ending the absence for that day.Thanks  

Hi Community!I have another interesting and (from my point of view) relevant question concerning the restricted usage of employee selection templates.As you might know I can define different employee selection templates by using different selection parameters (Like Position, Schedule, Wage Class and so on)As far as I konw this is mainly used to generate anual Absence Allowances for Vacation or Special Vacation for heavily disabled empoloyees.Now I have a situation, that a certain group should not be able to see all the templates and so I am looking for a way to restrict access to certain selection templates for certain employees.The reason of this issue is the “My Team Absence Calendar”-Page because if I use the Selection Criteria- Button as an employee I can see all the templates:As you see there are both selection templates visible for this employee. What I am trying to archive is that this employee can only see the first template and the second one shouln’t even be visible nor selec

Dear Community, we have a big issue with a Time Clock Clockings for a Customer which went Live 4 days ago. There is an already identified Bug that we cannot use Swipe cards since Auto Resume Option of corresponding Operations in Manufacturing is not working. For this we get a Fix but unfortunately first with 23.R1.SU10. This is why we have to enter the employee Number manually or via Drop. But while using this “manual Entry” of the Employee number in Time Clock terminal we found that often Employee A is doing the Clocking but the Action will be performed on Another Employee. The Employee who left in real is then still clocked in and another is clocked out which causes a big Problems in time Cards since all booking must be checked and even cannot be found which are correct or wrong… IFS Support is already alarmed but has anybody experience with this behaviour? Hello community,I have generated an Absence Limit year for an employee, and I have noticed that the fields individual working hours is not coming although I did define in my Absence group. I don’t know if there’s a bug or something. Because If I change the limit unit for example “Factor based” worked fine.And the available limit shoul not be 35? Thanks and best regards,  

Good Day.  We have been attempting to remove the ability to unconfirm time registrations for employees in our company.  We would like them to be able to register time and confirm their time.  However we do not want them to be able to remove confirmation once complete, we only want supervisors to be able to unconfirm their time.  We have attempted to set this up through Access Attribute but can’t figure out the correct configuration.  Does anyone know how to set this up so employees can not remove confirmation? 

hello,we try to use travel request function, some issues need you help to make it happen:Can you share some simple steps to follow: registered/confirmed, approval, link to expense?  Try to add new travel request, but status being shown “Approval not required” though configuration set up approval rule and amount based set up, any steps missing? How to create expense sheet from travel request, in help, where to find “one expense option in a trave request is required to be in “Selected” state” ? and  Where to find “Right- click and click Create Expense Sheet” ? Your feedback is appreciated. ThanksSusan

More specific it is part of the employee file and the communication methods in the private contact information page.In this page I can enter the private address of the employee and I can enter different contact methods (like phone number, mobile number, e-mail-address and so on).Those communication methods have their own validity periods in a submenu where I can get by pressing Edit-button and choose “contact method”.This leads me to the Contact Details Submenu: When comparing the validity periods of the different contact methods with the today-date (here 22.12.2023) you can see that all those contact methods are valid.When changes are done to the Contact methods validity periods they are still shown in Private Contact Information Page, even if they are not valid anymore (for example if employee gets new mobile Phone number.The starting situation is shown in the screenshot above. Hi Community! I have an interesting task by one of my customers. He wants to be able to be able to analyze his employee’s working times before and after 20:00 o’ clock.My idea is the following:I want to use the calculation formula functionality for doing this in combination with the additional result calculation and 2 different balances (one for working time before 20:00 and one for the time equal or larger than 20:00)For example the employee clocks in at 13:00 and has an interval from 13:00 until 21:00. In this interval there is a flexible break of 0,5 hours.Now I am looking for a calculation formula which splits this intervall:Intervall 1 after split: 13:00 until 20:00 so 7 hours in total with a break of 0,5 hours, so 6,5 hours worked when deducted the breakIntervall 2 after split: 20:00 until 21:00 so 1 hour in totalThe total worked hours will be changed to wage codes for balance accrual by using the additional calculation setup.Does anybody have an idea how the calculation formula

Dear IFS Community Has anyone experienced issues with the Offline time clock functionality when IFS and middleware servers are on a different site? (Apps 10) The IFS and Middleware servers are in our US headquarters and a few time clock terminals in the UK. Each time the US servers are disconnected form the UK time clock, the offline functionality doesn’t work as expected.  For every minute time clock is offline, terminal’s time stands still at 00:59 seconds and the buttons on screen don’t work. After 20 seconds it works fine for the next 39 seconds. During these 39 seconds, the time on the application matches the system time. Any transactions are buffered. When servers are reconnected, these buffered transactions sync back to IFS with accurate timestamps.  But no transactions can be recorded between 00:59 and 00:20 for each minute. After a discussion with IFS R&D, we are curious if there are any other global organizations experiencing the same issue. 

Hello,we are using IFS10 version, update 5, soon going to update 8.Actually trying to solve issue with access for employees who should be able to create and confirm an employee expense on behalf of another employee.I was able to set up access for Person X to have possibility to create expense on behalf of the Employee Y from Company B. I have used Supervisor access setup screen, assigning to Person X access to position ID  of Employee Y from Company B. The Person X is able to create and confirm created expense, but also is able to Approve the expense which is not needed. The Employee Y having default Self-Access Role assigned in Employee’s Assignemnt, including attribute for Self_access on Travel Expense. The attribute contains record with definition of possible values (Old/New) for EXPENSE status.Even the attribute EXP_REF_NO_AUTH contains possibility to have new value in EXPENSE_STATUS Approved, Employee X is not able to approve his/her own Expense.
