We have a customised layout for the customer statements which displays the discount if they pay by X date. Its being quite difficult to manage, as the discount calculation appears to be out! Question is, does IFS have some standard functionality I can take advantage of instead??   Thanks

Hi   IFS seems to recommend use of multitenant database (container database + pluggable database) when installing IFS10 (at least that setup is described in help files) but since only one PDB per CDB is supported I can not really see any advantage of using multitenant setup. So, why use multitenant database (instead of single instance)? Neno Solaja

I’ve created an object connection for PurchaseReceipt that allows me to to manually link a PO Receipt to an NCR that I created using the NCR wizard.   Is this the correct process flow? Register Inspection Results, then Create the NCR, and then link the 2 together?     Thanks, Chris.

Report x works in Crystal Reports and other Crystal Reports work in the IFS instance.   However, when we run report x in the IFS instance we receive the following message:     When I went to check the Crystal Reports log for this instance there was no Crystal Reports log.   On noticing that there were no error logs I ran CR_Web_Log.exe that resided in folder C:\inetpub\wwwroot\IFSCRWebSetup_IFSR     After clicking on Save and Close I checked the ifs-crystal-config.xml file:     I logged out of Enterprise Explorer for the instance concerned and logged back in again and tried running the report again, same error received (as expected) but the only thing in the Log file:       Please note, report x works in all other IFS instances.   Can anyone please advise what I have missed or where I am going wrong.   Thank you.

Hi Everyone,   I’m currently updating the shipment handling unit label report which is a built in report and I need to obtain the printer name and number of copies within the pl/sql RDF file for the report.  I wish to use this information in conditional branches in the report.      When a user selects the printer and enters the number of copies on the report format and output dialog box is there any way to extract this extract the information?     Thank you, William Klotz  

I just discovered that on May 26th customer invoices quit creating a pdf archive file.  It appears that other reports such as delivery report, purchase orders etc are still being created.  These pdf files are needed by the report rule process to automatically email invoices to customers.  I cannot figure out why they are not being created.  Can anyone suggest what might be causing the problem.  It is not a user specific problem.  Same person can create a PO arrival pdf archive report.  From the report archive if you RMB on an invoice Show PDF is greyed out. I am using Apps 9 and am creating a permissions set for people to be able to report shop order operations. The permission set currently allows the user to go to the “Report Shop Order Operation” screen (Manufacturing → Shop Order → Report Operation → Report Shop Order Operation) and do everything they need to do, but for some reason the RMB menu option for “Report Operations...” is not enabled in the “Shop Order” screen (Manufacturing → Shop Order → Order → Shop Order).   What permissions do I need to enable to enable this RMB option? Is there a good way in general of identifying which permissions need to be set to enable RMB menus?

Morning, I know we can stop different parts being stored in the same location by ticking ‘Mix of Part Numbers Blocked’ on the Warehouse Navigator, but is there a way in Standard Apps 9, to prevent a part being stored in more than one location? i.e Limiting every part in a warehouse / bay to only 1 Pick Location.   Thanks, Chris.  

Is there any way to force a screen refresh after displaying an error message. Currently user has to OK the error, then click refresh and then click no to not save. Error_SYS.Appl_General('INFO',message_);  Thanks,

Hello,  I have custom menus created in Aurena with method calls from custom packages. When logged in as App Owner, these menus work.  But when logged as a different user, the following error is given. The package is granted the correct access. The projection and the actions are granted access to the permission set the user belong to as well.  ErrorMenu DefinitionHas anyone seen this?

Does IFS allow html based email from when handling pdf_report_created event? We are required to include logo in the signature.

if there was a way to only choose certain part categories to copy - Copy Part - from user: Just to clarify. I was.wondering if there can be a default where to ones that never get used can be unlocked when I open copy part, or even removed/hidden. I know they can be clicked off. I'd love to just open one and adjust the two or three changes needed depending on if it's a purchased part or a manufactured part.

I can add substitutes for purchase orders, but cant seem to add for supplier invoices. Normally, when I populate on the purchase order substitutes, the authorisers appear and I can add a valid from/to  - but no functions allowed, even with IFSAPP_ALL - permission sets look good too.   Any ideas what am missing here?    

I have SQL that using multiple views, I therefore created an IAL using the SQL and deployed it.     The IAL appears in the IAL Configuration, however, I am unable to access the IAL within the Data Source Designer OR using Quick Reporter.   Can anyone advise what I am missing?    

We are building flight disruptions, but there are times when the aircraft does not end up taking a mx delay...is there a way to delete those flight disruptions? I hate to see a bunch of meaningless flight disruptions (meaning they have no delay time associated with them) clogging up the system, but I can’t see the simple way of deleting, or removing those Flight Disruptions...any thoughts on that?    Concerns: Does it affect MAA downstream to have a bunch of 0:00 mx delays? Do duplicate Flight Disruptions (with real x:xx delays) cause issues? Thanks! Tim

When using a custom layout of fields (in particular on a Custom Page), is it possible to control the layout (location and field size) in any way either via database or importable/exportable XML code in any way? Having to line up a lot of fields with the little arrow buttons is pretty time consuming to get fields to all line up and space evenly. I’m hoping there’s a way I can just input pixel values for size and location somehow?

Hello, I would like to launch the Print Preview report (accessible from the Resolve page of the Service Order) and the Service Order report (from the "Report" button of the Service Order) to a single pdf containing the two concatenated reports in one action.I have considered several solutions:• Create a single new report using the customizer containing both sub report. Knowing that each report to be concatenated normally has its own structure (header, group, detail with sub report, etc.) : I have not tested how many levels of reporting can accept nested sub reports.• Create an action button in the Service Order UI that will execute java code to run both Pdfs : I don’t know how to group the two Pdfs into one. •Use code in the first report that will launch the second report generation : I do not know which code to use and if it is possible to do so.   Thank you for giving me a solution.

Hi, Can someone shed some light about how to get the server resources downloaded for locally installed Touch apps server (for Demo purposes)? In apps 9 there was an option in the customer portal page to check the “Cloud connection status” and if the system is registered most recent resources could be downloaded  but seems that’s no longer available for Apps10.
