Hello,I have created a custom LU with 3 fields, created the custom page, inserted into a custom tab, and everything was working good. After a test, the users told me that one field was unnecessary, and they wanted to remove it. Then I proceeded this way:removed the custom tab removed the custom page unpublished the LU removed the field published the LU created the custom pageNow, when I add the custom page to the custom tab, I cannot find the page in the list.I know that, to make it easier, I can hide the field but this is not the first time that this kind of problem happens and the solution is …. wait until the next day. In fact the next day the custom page “magically” appears.Why this happens ? Is there a background job (maybe in the night) that rebuild something ?We’re running IFS 10 update 8.Thanks.

Is is possible to switch the product on a request / Task after it is completed (with part usage, non part usage done)? When we attempt to do so, we cant remove the old product from the request. The error states that it cannot be moved since it is tied to part need, usage & NPU. The way around is it we update all those values with the new request unit ID via SQL DB Query. Is there a more user appropriate way for people to do this day to day vs manipulating the database -

Hoping someone can shed some light on this situation. I have a user that brought this up - whenever they are trying to print a Crystal report, the Print dialog box always default selects “Microsoft Print to PDF”, instead of the Windows default printer (shown as “Front Office” with green default checkmark below). Her IFS Printer Definition settings are also set to default to this office printer. I even checked on our IFS Print Agent server - and the default printer is another office device.  Does anyone know what might be the reason for this, and whether it can be changed?  

We have custom events/API calls running in the background I think that's causing this but struggling to find the cause.I am going from the business opportunity, creating a quote but delivery is greyed out. I then try to modify and see the following error:Any ideas how I can trace back the problem?

Hi, I was able to create  my first connection object and I had to create my own transformation method, following guidelines found in OpenIFS forum. When I tested it (with the Test transformation option ) , I got a successful status. But it does not work on the target LU. What is the best way to debug this problem ? Haven’t found anything in the Debug console.   Thanks   Michael

Is there a way to create an event that emails work task information as an ICS file so maintenance techs can add it to their calendars?Better yet, is there a way to sync work task assignments to an outlook calendar?

Looking at Customer / Product / Price level budgets / forecasts that can also be used for measuring salesperson targets ?Have reviewed S&OP and Demand Planner but these are more quantity based and just use Avg Sales Price so are fine for general planning but not detailed sales budget level that we can track report against at sales person level ?I have been point towards external solutions such as Beqom or Xactly.  Any IFS partner solutions available for this ?

I was used to be able to find the ‘Whats new in IFS apps Update x’ in OpenIFS. Since this platform has been taken offline, I haven’t been able to find the latest updates. Where can I find those now? I’m particularly looking for UDP8.

Hi,I wanted to enquire if it was possible to create an event that was triggered when a file was stored in EDM (File Repository) and then send an email using IFS Connect Routing Rules/Addresses with the email attached or a path to the file stored in the body of the email? I can see the routing address for email has an attachment name parameter. Is it also possible to pass a TO address to the routing destination dynamically?

When we use the option to run a ‘customer statement of account’ to run monthly statements the IFS standard layout is used. Is there any way to make sure the alternate layout we designed from crystal is picked up rather than the IFS standard. Perhaps I can set this as a report rule? - am not quite understanding the logic I need to enter in the ‘actions’ ordinal to pick up the email from the customer comm method OR payment customer contact field.   Help appreciated!    

On a custom LU, I’d like to create a read-only reference field to expose MY_CLT.ROWVERSION in the client presentation. Expressions or SQL statements against t.rowversion or v.objversion don’t appear to work. Is there a way to show this field to the users, short of creating another persistent field?(My preference would be a solution that exposes the field without intermediate functions so the database can honor an index on it.)

Hello, I have created an object connection on my Inventory Part screen for Change Request. I am able to see it with full IFS permissions, however, my users cannot see the CR attachment object. I’ve granted Permission Set access to Change Management, and those users can navigate and use the features. The issue is only impacting the connected object. I believe there is some level of access I’m missing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Full Access: User’s View:
