Hi   Wondering, we have a field available to us on screen for ‘Supplier Name’ - but when I look in the search box to configure so users can search by name its not available. Is there anything I can do to make this field searchable?? Is there perhaps an SQL expression I can use that will put the sort by name into order?    

Is there any way to get MRP run date and the user information who run the MRP for a purticular part? Actually i can get these two information from background job but there is no option of part query. please suggest if there is any window or any sql view where i can get these information.

when user create new part revision, i would like to set a CF to “A Value” or “B value” depends on revision number (eng_chgt_level). Actually, i do it by an event and a background job but users have to refresh the screen to see value affected. An another option is to do it by an Oracle Trigger BEFORE INSERT by it is not a IFS “best practice”. What is the best way to set and display default value on screen while you’re typing data of a new record ?

Hello. I am looking into the setup of a Freight Price list for our US customer base. I have setup a Freight Map and Freight Price List for Fedex Priority, with the Zone Defined by Zip Code. This allows for a numeric range of Zip Codes as shown below.   This is working when a 5 digit Zip code is used. The problem i have encountered is when the Customer Address is in the ZIP+4 format (XXXXX-XXXX). In this case the Freight Zone is not found. Is there another way to approach this, or have i missed something in the setup?

Dear fellow IFS users For our production, we created a lobby which shows the current work orders being done. This is displayed on a big TV. When the PC is turned on, this lobby should be opened automatically and displayed in full screen mode / kiosk mode, as it is only for display purposes and doesnt need any user interaction. Is there any possibility to automatically open IFS in full screen / kiosk mode? The PC has no mouse or keyboard connected so this should be automated as far as possible. I have created a custom event for a specific background job if it fails a stream message is sent to user to view the job. I also want user to transfer to background job details page to see the logs for the failures. Hi, I have send out an Application Message from IFS to an external API endpoint using a HTTP connector. I have reaced the endpoint succesfully. The endpoint returned me back a message and IFS is showing it to med in a .txt file. How can I access that response, and have is saved somewhere in the database? Any help is very appreciated. Hi,   In a foreign currency supplier account, the invoice was entered at one rate, but was paid at a different rate on later date. The foreign currency amount clears off fine, but in the Supplier account, it is leaving a balance in the home currency. What would be the best way to write off this difference to bring the account down to $0 balance in both foreign currency and home currency?     Thanks in advance, Lawrence  

When a customized form is deployed and if the form has some entries in the base profile, the customized form is not loading instead the standard form is getting loaded for the user. The same user if we remove the base profile, the user is able to see the customized form. The base profile is not getting updated with the Customized form name. It looks like I have do recreate the profile again for all the customized pages. Is there solution available for this. Thanks & Regards, Siva     

Dear All,   Does anyone has any idea about outbox messages which are in Released status. They should be transferred after some time but they are stuck in Released status, when I am checking the message line they are coming in Posted and no error is coming. I checked the connectivity setting in system parameters for outbox and inbox process. Both are On. I checked the setup connectivity, i did the setup for installation site still no luck.  Please advice what else we can do.   Thanks IP

I thought I’d ask the community this question but I am pretty certain I know the answer.     Is there a way in MWO Service 10 to request parts from the main warehouse to replenish truck stock (my stock)? (NOT FOR A JOB)  As far as I know, you can create a transport task to move stock from your my stock to another mobile user or back to the main whse.  Or receive transport tasks from another user or from the main whse.  As far as I know, you cannot create replenishment orders.  Typically I have done Remote WHSE assortments to refill mobile whse’s and run the refill parts but I have never had to replenishment truck whse manually from mobile.  Is this possible?  

Apps 7.5 had a cool enhancement to Operational Reporting called ‘iPrinting’ which was a UK customisation. It allowed additional data to be pulled into a report layout which could then be used by Report Designer. This feature appeared to disappear by the time Apps 9 came along and I wondered whether anyone has come across this? Custom Fields offer some assistance but what they do not provide is ‘sub queries’ of data. e.g. Customer Invoices lines report the Lot/Batch Number of the invoice qty but I want to then show a break down of that quantity across the batches. This would require a sub-query of the inventory transaction history or something to show the separate lot ref and qty. I used to be able to do this using iPrinting but I can’t see way to do it with custom fields. Anyone got any ideas?    

Hi Guys,   I am facing an issue in Apps 10 where an Fixed Asset created through a Project cannot be moved, sell or scrap..etc. It gives error saying the project is completed. The setup was as follows. GP3 Account for Project and Acquisition Account for Object is same Reposted to same account   When Project was completed, the object was moved by removing the Project code part. In here reposting debit entry was created without Project Eg ACC01 - OBJ01   DR  XXX ACC01 - PROJ01-OBJ01   CR  XXX   Is it wrong to use GP3 Account for Project and Acquisition Account for Object as same ? What is the way to get rid of this flowstopper?   Cheers Lahiru  

HI there,   Is there any way we can write back the key values to the Excel sheet once the record is inserted or updated in IFS. For Example: A Excel migration job is configured to create a new Work order with data from the excel. I recently added a field to a stock IFS operational report and found it challenging. I'm probably missing something really basic. I've created and modified a lot of operational reports done with Crystal Reports, but this is the first time since Apps 2004 that I've tried to use the IFS tools. Does anyone have any better documentation/training material than what is supplied with the Report Designer? Or tips and tricks on creating/modifying reports with Report Designer?

We have an issue with Crystal Web services which we are looking into, but I want to create an event that would fire when a print job goes into a status of ‘Error’ - the action being to ‘Restart’ the job (As you can do manually with an RMC. Just want to automate this re-try for the time being. I have created an event on the ‘Printjob’ logical unit, but not sure how to make it fire and perform the  restart action. Any tips?? Am trying to make this fire when the message ‘No PDF returned from Crystal Web Service’ Thanks

Hi, I’m on IFS 9 and I would like to send a post request to a routing address. IFS 9 doesn’t support destination type REST, so I need to use HTTP. I know the endpoint, and from postman I have copied this HTTP request:   When I try to call this endpoint from IFS using a routing address I get “Internal server error” back. I know the headers and the message are correct, but IFS doesn’t seam to read them correct. How could this be done? Any help is very much appreciated.  

We would like to create a link in Microsoft Planner to a case in IFS.  When we put the link in planner, it changes the link slightly and no longer works in IFS.   This link works in IFS. https://gi48erpprod1.chiefind.net:49080/client/runtime/Ifs.Fnd.Explorer.application?url=ifsapf%3AfrmCaseHeader%3Faction%3Dget%26key1%3D172537 However, Microsoft Planner Converts the link to this. https://gi48erpprod1.chiefind.net:49080/client/runtime/Ifs.Fnd.Explorer.application?url=ifsapf:frmCaseHeader?action=get&key1=172537 Which does not work in IFS.  Note the yellow highlights.  Is there a way to make Planner keep the original format?  Or is there a way for IFS to accept the updated format?  

Hi, we have recently installed UPD16 on our Apps 9 environment. Since the install we are unable to run a custom menu where we select 2 lines are selected. We have a custom field that ruins on the customer order line and takes you to the inventory part in stock.    Previously we could select multiple lines but now we cant. The RMB is greyed out. It only works when one line is selected. Please see working example before the update and example after the update. You help is much appreciated.    Regards, Gary 

I have a read only multiline  text field (4000). The  query to show data in this screen is something like this   select listagg(t.CF$_field1 || ' - ' || t.CF$_field2, CHR(13)) within group(order by cf$_part_no, cf$_site) from table_clv t This will show field value in a each separate line if I copy the result to notepad++, however the custom field on the screen does not show in separate lines Notepad++ 1233 - some test 1265 - adfadf   Ifs shows below   Is there any way to solve this problem?

We have started using Consignment Stock for Supplier-owned stock. We want to be able to identify such stock within the “Inventory Part In Stock” data. I could join to Inv Trans Hist using the Part_no/contract/Lot_batch_no to get the CO-ARRIVAL record, but at 75 million Inv Trans Hist rows, even forcing an index takes a very long time in an SQL statement. Any ideas as to how I can include/exclude within some of our Inventory Part In Stock reports? We are running IFS2003!

what do you do with your surveys? do you just leave them as data within the task? how do you give those survey results to your customers? we created a report for the output of the surveys but you have to pull that report manually. it doesn't create an attachment on the task   curious what other companies do for this
