After creating a custom form, I am able to add records to the new Custom LU.  However, when I add a new record, there is nothing that checks to see if that record already exists.  As an example, my new form has a field called Project Name.  If I add a new record, I want it to check to make sure that the project name does not already exist.  Essentially, I want to designate the Project Name as the primary key.  Is there a way to do this?

When viewing payslip using Order Report and selecting Paylip Uk the payslip displays data however when viewing the payslip in Employee Self Service it uses Payslip Uk and the report opens up without displaying any data.Can you please advise as soon as possible

IFS10, UPD8 O&G Extension We are planning to start use the automatic ordering of spare parts based on demands on Work Tasks. To achieve this we have set the planning method to B on all inventory parts, parameters as per below.  Now, we have scheduled the job Create Order Proposal for one site to run each night. The problem is that it runs forever: The job started yesterday morning at 01:00 is still running… Parameters in the scheduled task are set as per below. We want to create an order proposal for all demands on all parts on work tasks, which is the reason for entering % in the parameters.  Questions: Why is the background job never finished?Is there a limit of how many parts the order proposal creation can handle? Any other limitation when it comes to demands, like planning horizon or similar?

Hi I am looking to have a button on a listview tab that will update one of the fields on a selected line of a List view. is it possible to control a Listview items using a Button and a client script? and if not a client script any other way? if so can you explain how i might go about do so?

Hello, I’m attempting to create an Event Action when the status of a Shipment changes to “Closed”. However, I’m not able to find the TABLE/LU for the STATE field. Not sure if I’m looking in the wrong LU when I build the event or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated.   

When in Business Opportunity, if there is a Sales Process attached when RMB in the header there is a ‘Confirm Sales Process’ option. However, we have certain users that do not see this option.  Unfortunately, this is Live and we do not currently have this is test so unable to debug it to see the API call being made.  Can you please advise on how to grant user(s) this option? Thanking you in advance for looking. John 

I am looking to create a value business rule that populates a day that is 30 days after the created_dttm in FSM. i looked at the cheatsheet but was unable to figure out what expression is required. I tried to do DATEADD but that didn’t work.New to using expressions so any help is appreciatedthanks!

We have a problem with Shop Order requisition due dates relative to shop order start dates that result from a MRP run. If our order quantity is 1, the manufacturing lead-time is 5, and the due date is 09/25/2020 then the start date will be 09/24/2020; why is it not offset 5 days?  Should be offset by the fixed manufacturing lead-time. If we change the order quantity to 10, then the start date is offset by 10 days and is 9/15/2020; this is not good.  We want to use “standard practice” where the lead-time offset is not affected by the order quantity size. Can anyone please help with this? EDM

How do I move the last tab to the first position.

I am trying to customize an object in the order module. When I try to expand the module, it hangs up and shows Please Wait FOREVER.I’ve tried this on multiple computers. I’ve tried deleting the %AppData%\DeveloperStudio\10.82 folder and recreating it. I’ve tried creating a new Project. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling developer studio. I’ve tried clearing any caches I can find.Anyone else seen this? Any other ideas on what to try? We are using IFS Developer Studio 10.82.736511.20200828. 

We are running Apps10 UPD6Our training environment is not running background jobs in multiple queues.  Looking for ideas on how to fix this issue. Our default queue and other queues we setup for specific tasks do not seem to be running We have a backlog of jobs in status = Posted In these queue - the most recent jobs in status = Ready is several days (if not weeks) old Tried setting the queue to Inactive - then Active - no change Tried using the RMB Init Queue option - no change Tried restarting the environment - no change Tried deleting oldest job in Posted status - no change. 

Hi there,I’m trying to get inter site trading working where the sites that trade are in 2  different companies. I can raise and send a Purchase Order from the demand site to the Internal Supplier, this successfully creates a message in the Connectivity Outbox, however, it does not generate an Incoming Customer Order on the receiving site and there is no Connectivity Inbox message generated. I’ve got inter site trading working successfully where the sites are within the same company but not across multiple companies Any ideas? Thanks!

Would anyone know why the single occurrence ‘Name’ field would grey out??We are creating the quotation from business opportunity - 9 times out of 10 it works okay, but occasionally the quote greys out the name field on the single occurrence and we cannot amend. So if we want to put a contact/contractor name in the single occurrence we are unable to.The work around is to open up a new sales quotation screen, re-enter the quote number and it frees up the field! Any ideas:Example 1 - Single Occurrence unchecked - delivery = document address - all as expected :) Example 2 - Check the Single Occurrence box - name and address is now greyed out!Only way to clear this issue is to open a NEW window, look up the sales quotationExample 3 - New window, now I can enter name/address after the single occurrence box is checked Any ideas what is causing the screen to lock the field??? What can I do to stop this.Driving me nuts as no errors at all and cant see any background processes holding it up. It

How to force new users to change their password when logging in for the first time?

We are investigating how we can use Project forecasting in a way to follow up the forecasted total cost of a project (activity).  Now, we have entered estimates for all activities.  Planned cost driver: Estimated Cost Progress method: Manual Our idea is to have the estimated cost as the initial EAC. BUT if the actual costs exceed the EAC we would like the actual cost in relation to the manually entered cost progress to be calculated as the EAC.  Example 1:  Estimated cost = 1000 USD Actual cost = 1500 USD Cost progress = 100% This would lead to EAC = 1500 USD Example 2:  Estimated cost = 1000 USD Actual cost = 1500 USD Cost progress = 50% This would lead to EAC = 3000 USD This is definately not how IFS is designed. But whatever alternative we try out, we end up with the estimated cost of 1000 USD either as the ETC or the EAC of the budget.  With the forecast option “EAC Recalculated” we end up with 1000 USD as ETC and 2500 USD as EAC. Hello,  I’m attempting to use the Copy Part feature to copy an Inventory Part, Routing, and Product structure to another site in my system. Currently, we are creating parts in an estimating site that houses all of our work centers, labor classes, etc. Once the parts are finalized, I would like to use the Copy Part function to move those parts to the correct manufacturing site. I have noticed that the Copy Part function works, however it does not bring over my routing steps. I’ve tried changing the status to Build, but the routing steps still do not appear after the copy. I’m not sure if there is something I’m missing, or if this is how the Copy Part function works when you try to copy to another site.  The final item I’ve noticed is that you are not able to copy a new Product Structure component part to a new site unless you manually copy the part prior to running the Copy Part from the top level Inventory Part. in FSM,Does anyone have a process in place to post multiple shipments at once?We have a quarterly program where we ship out over 700 orders or maintenance kits to our customers. Right now we have to post and print each shipment 1 by 1. its tedious. We talked about running a perform batch shipment XML but it froze up the system. open to any suggestions people may have on this.

Hello,I have created a custom LU with 3 fields, created the custom page, inserted into a custom tab, and everything was working good. After a test, the users told me that one field was unnecessary, and they wanted to remove it. Then I proceeded this way:removed the custom tab removed the custom page unpublished the LU removed the field published the LU created the custom pageNow, when I add the custom page to the custom tab, I cannot find the page in the list.I know that, to make it easier, I can hide the field but this is not the first time that this kind of problem happens and the solution is …. wait until the next day. In fact the next day the custom page “magically” appears.Why this happens ? Is there a background job (maybe in the night) that rebuild something ?We’re running IFS 10 update 8.Thanks.
