Hello, I am testing this newer function in IFS  (24.2.4)When I make disassembly Shop order for final goods I have a problem with serial numbers (how to get them).SN for semi-finish parts I have to find manually.The FG and SF parts were produced with serial tracking and multi level tracking (never leaved company)1 - SO - disassembly for FG2 - manual reservation of FG (Now I know SN of final, but I have to remember it)3 - issue FG4 - Receive disassembly component: how can I get SN for produced parts automatically ? Are there any        options ? Ifs Cloud 23R1What’s New in Manufacturing:  There is option put new or use origin SN number. But I can not see them. I was expected better way, than finding them in other modules. In SO I can not see / find information what SN of FG I choose. Maybe I am wrong and something missed me.Thank you

Hi! Is there anybody can help me?I use IFS8. We need input production surface arer information to Inventory Part. So I create a custom field under LU InventoryPart. Field Type is persistent. Name is “SURFACE_AREA”.  It generates the method 'Inventory_Part_cfp.Get_cf$_Surface_rea’. It works right, user can keyin number into this field.I need create quick report with this field so that users can see this number.Followed SQL Statement works right.select a.part_no, a.contract, b.cf$_surface_area area, from inventory_part_tab a left join  inventory_part_cft b on a.rowkey=b.rowkey I want use SQL Statment with method Inventory_Part_cfp.Get_cf$_Surface_rea. It should be like select a.part_no, a.contract, inventory_part_cfp.Get_Cf$_Surface_Area(a.part_no, a.contract)from inventory_part_tab a But it doesn’t work. There is no argument for this method. How can I set  part_no and contract as arguments for this method?  

Hi,We have a table to record the Gps data. (and some MOE to define how to register the Gps)But could we have or could we link the gps position with the status depending on the action made in the mobility side  :Status Accept the SV : At x,y position  Date/timeStatus on travel : x,y position Date/timeStatus on site : x,y position Date/time Also do we have a way to push a notification to the technician to say for example  :1/ Hey you know what : You have left the SV location, do you want to close the activity?2/ When the technician arrives on site :Hey you know what :  "you have arrived  on site XX3/ when the technician arrvies at his office (this address is registered in Alliance):Hey you know what ,"You've just arrived at your office  Do you want to create a private activity called 'travel to office'?" Do you know some usages like that with the gps data recorded in alliance  ?  or do you know other requests about the usage of gps data ?Thanks and Regardsanthony

Hi All,I'm having some difficulty defining an access role where a user can only remove authorizations.Specifically, an HR employee is responsible for performing a final check and must be able to remove authorizations, bot project input and attendance, but not authorize them. The authorization action is reserved for another role.The deletion of the input is also not needed - the person only needs to remove the authorizations.Does anyone have suggestions on how we can define this kind of role in the cloud environment?Thanks in advance!

We shipped some parts on consignment to the customer.  Then consumed the consignment, but the system does not show the order in Create Customer Invoices.We have used customer consignment many times before and it always worked fine.  Can anyone think of what might be stopping the invoicing of a consignment order?IFS 10 UPD9

Hello,I have developed a new PL/SQL procedure (Auto_Purchase_Req) inside a custom package (BSM_PURCH_UTIL_API) in our IFS Apps 8 environment.The package is compiled successfully and the procedure is working as expected when called directly from the database.However, when I try to create a new Database Task in IFS and click on “Select Method”, my custom procedure does not appear in the method list.I have already restarted both the Test Application and Test Database servers, but the issue persists.Is there a specific way to refresh the IFS metadata or PL/SQL definitions so that new procedures/functions appear in the Select Method list for Database Tasks?If so, can you please advise on the steps or the correct menu to use for this operation?Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance!

Hello IFS Community,I am new to configuration in IFS Cloud and am wondering if there is any easy way to find out which arguments are expected by methods that can be found under Entity > Packages.I only seem to progress here using trial and error with some key fields. A current example would be the method MAINT_MATERIAL_REQ_LINE_API.Get_Task_Seq() on the entity MaintMaterialReqLine. Is there any documentation on this that i did not find yet? Not just for the specific case but in general? 

Hi All,I would like to request some clarification regarding the behaviour of MRP in this context.As I understand it, MRP does not generate pegged supplies by default. It evaluates demand, and if there is no available stock, IFS creates supply orders that are not pegged to specific demands.Now, let’s consider a scenario where I manually create pegged orders by modifying the supply code (e.g., to Purch Order Trans) at the customer order line level. When the customer order is released, a pegged purchase requisition (PR) is generated as expected. However, after converting this PR into a purchase order (PO) and changing the delivery date, I anticipated that MRP would recognize this adjustment—identifying the order as either early or late in relation to the demand.It appears, however, that when supplies are pegged using supply codes, MRP does not detect these orders in the same way. As a result, it does not flag them as early or late orders during its planning run.Could someone confirm wheth

Hi Docman experts,Scenario.When attaching a document to a ‘Supplier Request’ using Attachments and then options ‘Attach Existing’ or ‘New Document’ , I would like to show only 3 Document Classes to End Users so that they can only select from those 3 Document Classes.How can I achieve this using existing Docman functionality?As you can see in the screenshot, End-user can see multiple document classes.I tried ‘Document Defaults per Object’ by defining the LU name but it only defaults the Document Class when creating a new document and it does not filter/restrict document classes.  

Good day.  We added a CompanyID to the Person Name (after the Surname).  In the Employee File though we would like to only have the Name and Surname of the Employee Displayed without the CompanyID behind the Employee Surname.Please can you assist with correct steps to take to ensure Employee Name displays as required?Thank you.Anya

We are consistently looking for ways to further streamline our mWO installation.  We are currently looking at this entity as it is the slowest syncing entity by a large margin.  Our technicians have no need for this information, but our concern is that the “Responded_Date” and the “Resolved_Date” fields may not get populated if we block the entity from mWO.  Would anyone be able to confirm or fully deny this concern for us? 

After entering an entertainment expense item, a new box called “No Agenda” pops up. However, we don’t know where such an agenda should be added.We’ve tried filling out all empty field (References, text fields, etc.), there is a guest list registered, we’ve also added attachments to the expense lines.Does anybody know how this works?We are using IFS Cloud.

Hi,for one of our customer (15.4 SU3), in Customer Support we have sometimes an unexpected automatic ETA update. In Back-Office, when the first activity is fullfilled with an incomplete Stop Code, the ETA Date of this activity is automatically updated, see the case below. Why do the ETA date changes ?  Open_date :  15/04/2025 12:46 Contr_ETA :  16/04/2025 18:00 (SLA next day + 10h)ETA_Date :   16/04/2025 18:00Coverage plan : each day 08h00 - 18h00 (duration 10h00)We assign an AM and fullfilled the Activity (no more actions) in real time for instance on 15/04/2025 13:42 with incomplete Stop Code. Then, the ETA_date becomes : 15/04/2025 22:46 (10h00 after the Open Date)….NB. If after this we enter a severity (Contract exception on this severity), then the ETA_Date is updated with a new value, and if we erase the severity then the ETA_Date becomes correct, 16/04/2025 18:00, as it was before we fullfilled the 1st activity. Thanks by adavance.
