I want to copy a file that’s in Aurena (actually it’s in THOR) to a local directory.  But, I  am not seeing “Copy File” functionality.  Did it go somewhere?  I’m also not seeing this in a standard version that’s in a customer’s database.

Hi All,I am recently involved to setup some 21R1 configuration in various environments. When setting up I encountered various issues such as not knowing which projections to be granted in order to external clients to work, most of them are IAM clients. Which projections to be granted, information was passed by the Product Development teams which helped us. But is there a way to exactly know which projection should be granted so that the external clients would work. e.g. AdvancedPlanningBoard, MaintenancePlanningBoardIntegration I think in Aurena client we can search by Projections by Navigator so inside the client if something isn’t working, we probably can grant these projections to a specific permission set so the purpose is achieved. 

is there a way of only showing certain document classes for certain views? For example when creating an expense and you attach a document it only shows the document class you have set-up for expense receipts? Thank you.Nikki

Hi, our customer has a requirement to generate a rework order(shop order) in IFSinside the rework order, (1)It should indicate which component need to be dis-assembly(2)And record the actual dis-assemblied Serial No and re-assebmly Serial No(3)And record the time and cost. In IFS, is there any function can meet this requirement?  

What is the easiest method to create a full access Permission Set(similar to IFS_ALL in IEE) in Aurena? I am hoping there is easier way than granting access to all the Projections.The goal is to create a permission set with access to everything in Aurena.Thanks in advance!

When we copied our Live DB to Test DB the crystal web service stopped working due to incorrect password IFSSYS password. Is there an easy way to change the Crystal Web Service password? Would I need to remove and install the Crystal Web Service again? Thank you.  

Hello,I’ve edited the Service Contract client report and added a Version parameter because when we use the Print button in the Smart Client it will include all versions of the contract and not just the one we’re looking at.If I run the report from the Reports screen everything comes out as expected.  If a Version was specified it only shows the one version in the report, otherwise it will include all versions.Now I’m just trying to figure out how to configure the print button in the UI Designer to pass contract.contract_version as a parameter along with contract.contract_id to generate the report.Any suggestions?Thanks!

Hello all, I’m attempting to setup a scheduled task to generate calendar based PMs and I’m having an issue setting up a date range. I would like the task to generate PMs for the upcoming week, so as not to create numerous unnecessary Work Orders. When I tried to specify  a variable as I would in other fields, I received an error that I could not use that expression. My question is how to specify a rolling time period for generation? If you did not do this, would it not create numerous Work Orders, essentially for the entire Maintenance Plan?Any help would be greatly appreciated! 

I have setup LDAP integration and created users from my A/D system .All the settings are correct and I can see users in the “users” list and on the “Oracle” users list.All users are active and enabled.However, when I test a user account, the message pops up stating “Invalid Login Details”.I have expired the account, enabled the account and reset the password several time, but am still unable to login. But, when I create a user from scratch in IFS, this logs in successfully. I don’t get it, can anyone help please?

We utilize EDI to receive purchase orders and send invoices for several customers.  We now have a customer who is configured to also utilize EDI for purchase orders and invoices but they do not want to receive credit invoices by EDI they want them manually sent.   At the customer record we have the message setup configured for message class INVOIC and its set to the default. We thought by just unchecking the Method Default IFS would allow us to choose to print the invoice or send the invoice but when the Method Default is checked we can only Send Invoice  which sends it by EDI and prints it storing the PDF in the report archive.  When its unchecked we can only Print Invoice only which actually prints it out and stores the PDF in the report archive.   Do anyone know who to configure IFS so we can choose to Print an invoice or Send it by EDI? Regards,William Klotz

How do I set up Authorizer Roles in SIWF.   No Chance to click the + key

When You make an update in IFS through an excel, is it the possible to overwrite the currently filled value? e.g. We are working on an excel to update the Customs Stat No in the part number records in IFS. We plan to upload the excel in IFS and thereby update the Customs Stat No for all parts in IFS. For the new value from the excel to be updated on the Customs Stat No field in the Inventory Part, does that field has to be empty in IFS? Or can the excel’s Customs Stat No overwrite the old number?

I want to see more details in the drop down menu for few of my LUsIs there an way to update record selector for the default LUs ? 

Has anyone used the Special Events Lobby Element  ‘HR My Employees Special Events List’, Data Source ;HR_MyEmployeesSpecialEvents’.We want to be able to change the Work Jubilee dates from every five years to 2, 5 and 10, but can only find a view ‘Reminder_Special_Events_Sub’ but are unsure how to implement the change. We plan to change the IFS view, but copy and create our own version of the view. Anyone done this before or can give advice on how to changer the Jubilee dates in the Code?

Hi,Currently i'm facing some problems to setup the Country of Origin functionality correct for a Customer of mine.Country of origin can be setup on Inventory Part and Supplier for Purchase Part. Only 1 Country of Origin can be filled at the Inventory Part and that information is then fetched to the Country of Origin of the Supplier for Purchase Part.No i'm with a question where i can't find the Best Practise from IFS perspective.How do i have to handle the Country of Origin in the Inventory Part when a specific part is always purchased at the same supplier, but it's produced in China, Taiwan, Indonesia for that Supplier.So the goods are delivered from the suppliers local warehouse in Europe to the demanding site in Europe, but that Supplier warehouse is supplied by the different factories in the different countries.(i can't define upfront where the goods will be produced when the order is placed to the supplier)How do i handle this in IFS, what is the best practise to setup the Country

We have a bank posting that has been posted using the wrong nominal, I have tried to cancel but has been reconciled - how can I un-match the posting so I can cancel and re-enter  

When I use IFS10 (or previous) using EE I can use in most cases RMB to Edit > Copy Object. Next go to another environment and use RMB > Edit > Paste Object. It uses the clipboard functionality.However if I want to do something similar in IFS Aurena (Cloud), for one there is no RMB as this is now a command button. I didn’t see anywhere the RMB > Edit version in Aurena.How can one still copy data across environments?What would be an easy to use solution?

Hi Guys Wondering if someone can help me with a data migration query.Scenario:As a part of Customer data migration, i am also looking to migrate Address types (Pay, Delivery and Document which is coming from view- CUSTOMER_INFO_ADDRESS_TYPE)  Created a migration job to insert new Customers,  Addresses and Address types (third highlighted view as below)  Migration job works fine and creates first default value i.e. Pay   But to pass other two default values (Delivery and Document) I am replacing Pay with other two one- by-one and running the same job few times. Is there any easier way to pass all three value once so that i don’t have to run the same job thrice? Thanks in advance/D

Hello, I have been configuring work guidelines with the Subtask functions and I am looking to add some automation if possible. Essentially my goal is to attach a media image of a part to a routing work guideline and create a Subtask Sign Off requirement that the attached media be viewed. I am curious if it is possible to automatically launch an attached media image, or to enforce that a user view the image? I was not able find anything in the IFS help or on the community regarding this capability. Below is an example of the attached media image on Shop Floor Workbench I am hoping to have opened automatically. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! 

How do I print out multiple shop order works instructions. E.g. all instructions for shop orders created by ‘HA’ today? Preferable without any print dialogs.

Hi, I created a Custom Field in the LU IncomingInvoice which returns the Coordinator Name based on the PO Reference. But there could be multiple PO References separated with a semicolon. When that is the case IFS returns no value. Is it possible to solve this issue, so that IFS returns multiple values when there are multiple PO References. Hi,The issue comes when printing the Bold ‘5’ characters. The BOLD character '5' is coming out as a square. It’s coming when using the language Chinese. This is how the font mapping looks; I had a doubt whether this is due to the font SimHei, which is used to map with Arial. Will this be a result of not supporting font properties (Bold, Italic...) by SimHei? The version is IFS Applications 75 SP6. But the issue is, it only display squares for Bold ‘5’ character. Also the issue will come time to time and it’s automatically fixing according to the customer which is strange. Could you please help me to solve the issue? Is this something related to font mapping or font installations? Or could this type of a situation occur due to some issue in the middleware? Hi, In our warehouse, the amount in stock is of a part is a number with decimals. The UoM of this part is PCS, which is defined as an integer.The decimals are caused by an invertion factor on the sales. The client order a volume, but we fill this volume with pieces. The client can order a non-rounded number, e.g. 2.4L, which then converts to 13.4 PCS (for example). However, we never ‘cut’ the pieces. In this case, we will supply 13 pieces. Or 14, that actually doesn’t matter that much. But how can we avoid that IFS displays the not-rounded number? Thank you!
