Hello,In the customer address screens we can find various types (screenshot from Aurena, but same applies for IEE):When looking at the coding (IFS10), there are more defined in the API (ADDRESS_TYPE_CODE_API): FUNCTION Get_Client_Values___ RETURN VARCHAR2 DETERMINISTIC IS        FUNCTION Base RETURN VARCHAR2 DETERMINISTIC    IS    BEGIN       RETURN('Delivery^Document^Visit^Pay^Home^PrimaryContact^SecondaryContact^Correspondence^Residence^Tax^Work^');    END Base; BEGIN    RETURN Base; END Get_Client_Values___; I don't get it why types like Correspondence, Residence, Tax and Work are not selectable.Anyone an idea why?

In apps 10 we have an event that sends an email to our HR team when some one requests for  information to be be changed on there records through the Employee Info - Change Request screen.We are now moving over to Aurena but been informed by IFS that when a change is requested in Aurena it has to be approved in Aurena as the 2 are not linked, which means our existing event action will not work as it is using a different view/table.Does anyone know what the view/table in Aurena that the Information change request is using, so I create a new event action or any help in how I can trigger an email to be sent when some one puts in a request?Thank you.

Hi,We have a problem when doing ECR object connection. please refer to the attached screen shot, which I captured in a demo environment. you can see full list of object category available there. but in our PROD, I can only see one object category which is ‘Engineering Part Revision’.Our PROD is upgraded from APP8 years ago.Does any one has a clue, this is due to settings or permission issue? Thank you.Ron

Hi,1/ When a Tech has a part (Part from my stock) in a VAN (because before a transfer was made from his office to his VAN) and then you will use this part in a task. a/ What is required to declare this part as Installed in the customer site ? in this case, in our process the part used is declared billable : could we change that ? b/ What is the best design/transaction in this case in FSM to transfer the part from the Office to the VAN ? Possible Settings to be confirmed  : - Part set as “part to product” - c/ Line code “Billable” with Install and part to product checked or create another line in the table and leave Billable as design.2/ is it possible to manage a part need without shipping ? if yes : how ?for example : a part need comes from automatically with a task template. So you have a part need on the task. Hi,Does anyone know if Apps 8 is  OLE DB compliant? There's an API within another programme we used which is a standardised MicroSoft OLE DB API. We would like to know if its possible to link to IFS via that API?Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.Many thanksHayley 

BR reports that have worked previously are erroring stating an error in design.  Having been advised that no changes have been made to the reports.  It was decided to restarted the BR Execution Server as NO BR reports have been processed since the 3rd June.   On clicking Stop the service does not stop and the following error appeared in the Log: An error occurred while trying to stop BR Execution Server.  Reported error is.  The service cannot accept control messages at this time.   How can I stop and restart the service?   The log files appear to go back to the 06/06/2021 and there are a few reports flagged as errored. Any prompts much appreciated.

Hello, does anyone know if you can create a document revision on a batch record and have it ‘follow’ that batch. For example, if i was to attach a certificate to a certain part in the Inventory Part In stock screen I would like to be able to view that certificate from the Material Transaction History on the Shop order.

Hi, We are using standard cost and cost set 5 for purchased parts.We seem to have arrivals where we did not have the cost calculated. It is zero. Can I find all PO-arrivals where the inventory part cost was zero? Note that the Purchase part might have a price, so the PO have a price but the cost on the inventory part is zero. 

Dear all, If a person got a person calendar exception assigned for a dedicated time period, it is not possible to schedule a task for that time horizon → error/warning message:Using the “Is available” checkbox in the person calendar exception gives the possibility to schedule a task nevertheless.I was expecting to configure this behavior via app params or via business rules. Meaning that we can decide that even without the checkbox “is available” we could  schedule tasks. But this seems not to be possible via simple baseline settings.Question:Is this a standard baseline behavior that only via “is available” checkbox in the exception tasks can be scheduled for that time period or am I mistaken and this can be configured in app params or via a business rule (or somewhere else)? The preferred solution for us would be to define only a warning message e.g.“overlapping existing exception! do you want to proceed?”which can be confirmed via yes or canceled via no. regards,Thomas

Hi all, I have been given a task to work out how we can make our Chairman to be able to approve the holiday requests in IFS 9 for other MD’s from Multiple companies.  We have 10 different companies where specific MD’s looking after them, however if one of those MD’s needs their holidays approved, they are currently sending an email to our chairman as sadly our chairman is currently set up as part of only one Company. Is there any way how could I make him part of all companies, without messing up all HR and employee records (duplications)? I was hoping that it will be as simple as set him somehow up in Graphical Organization structure and set the position to report for example Head of department reports to Head of organization and he/she report to Chairman. Thank you so much for your ideas and help. Thank youKate   

I’m trying to generate a Service Quotation for a Work order created from a Component Repair Order  (APPS10) and I’m not able to do that, menu option is greyed. Is it possible? IS there any specific configuration that allows it? Thanks in advance!

I am wondering where could I see in IFS how much '$' each Coordinator are allow to authorize per Purchase Order?

Test Steps:Go to  Engineering > PDM > Change management > Change OrderSearch for any CO with Pending Approvals (In attachment tab you can see approval process: Attachment below). To check Further Go to Engineering > PDM > ApprovalsAnd search for not approved line using search conditions ( CO & Group ID: Attachment below). Now Go to previous CO window and try to delete the CO with pending approvals, it is possible even with pending dependencies. This behavior is not acceptable.  In my opinion system should show an error message that CO cant be deleted because dependencies are existing on the CO.I tried on TQA but there is a proper popup message to that scenario and operation been cancelled.No customizations involved and the code base are same noticed that after investigating.Symptom: I have debugged the process and identified OBJ_CONN_DELETE getting False.Appreciate if any suggestions to overcome the issue.

Hi,Here comes the scenario we think might not be able to be addressed by APP10. we need to borrow your minds.We have very limited shop floor stock, hence we would like the materials picked as per operation start date, e.g. 3 days before operation start date. unfortunately, this is not feasible in the schedule job ‘Create pick list for shop orders’.then, we are thinking of the prior step of picking, reservation. we would like to use ‘Shop Order Auto Process Type’, Process Event ‘Reserve Shop Order’.so, question here, ‘Days Before Start Date’,  this date is shop order start date or operation start date?It looks to me it is a shop order start date, if that is the case, the reservation is going to performed on the whole shop order INSTEAD of operation material only. any suggestions? work around ways?Thank you.Ron  

I have spent lot's of time creating the custom page and configuring all the RMB options etc. I wish to know if I can export the pages (Similar to application package in IEE). I have seen  on PROJECTION COnfiguration an option to ADD to PACKAGE . Wish to know if all the work done on the custom page like lists/command groups RMB options etc all will be added to the package or not. Please guide me on this. We wish to deploy the application package on another environment

ifsapp/ or ifssys user can not alter user passwords due to below error. Hi, can we in IFS do an automated receive of a shop order, connected with a timer for example? Situation: We have one production line (A), which in some cases can be connected to another production line (B). Each machine has his own shop order, and produces his own products. The output of machine A, is the input of machine B (in some cases)If the machines are connected, it would be convenient to to ‘auto receive’ the products from machine A, so we can backflush them with machine B. Best regards

I want to create a new FILE_READER in IFS Connect, Connector Readers.  I would like the “IN_DIRECTORY” to be on a different server than the application server.  What is the proper syntax for the path and what permissions need to be added to the new “IN” folder?
