We are in Apps 10 and want to implement Voucher approval workflow for Voucher Type M and Voucher Type Q, instead of these Vouchers automatically going to Approved status.  We normally use External File upload to upload Q vouchers.First question: I see Ext Voucher Type Q specified as the default. If I wish to use External Voucher Assistant to upload a file of ‘M’ type Vouchers, where do I specify to use Load Type 2 (to load Ms) instead of the default?   Uploading Q (default) Voucher Types does NOT result in ‘Voucher Postings’ (tab)  - only ‘Voucher Rows’. ‘Voucher Row’ data is grayed out/not editable, but Voucher Postings can be edited (in the case that the approver requires a change to the Voucher amount, etc.)  Why does Voucher TYpe Q not result in Voucher Postings? Can we/how can we change that? Thanks for any advice anyone has.

Hi, I am new to an existing IFS 8 system and am trying to find out why some columns in a Base Table are not getting populated with the correct values. I need to find out how these columns are being populated. The columns in the Base Table are being populated as a result of Printing a Supplier Schedule.I presume that there is some kind of event being triggered, but I don’t know how to find it!I have found a logical unit which seems to be involved but it only has details of how a view is populated from the Base Table concerned. The logical unit has these details included:-Base TableBase ViewBase Package. The Base Package just has various Functions and Procedures for discrete values whereas I’m looking for a “CREATE OR REPLACE ‘Base Table’ AS …..” statement with the appropriate SELECT statement to follow which will show how the Base Table is being populated. Thanks for any help. Cheers,Neil.

By default, IFS is providing an Oracle Profile which is used for every user. This profile had been the spot for Configuration of password expiration and more. The functionality seems to be there, even if no Oracle Users are created. The System Parameter still indicates, that some Oracle Profiles must exist. Is this still used?If yes or no, how can we adjust the password expiration time?Kind regards,Tobias

I created a new order report with a crystal layout. When I try to preview it then it gives an error.

Hello FSM Experts,When we have a custom table as a child table of Task, what is the best way to configure its sync rule?Is it adding a separate custom sync rule OR including the custom table in the existing sync rule of the Task table?Regards,Dulshan.

Hi folks,  I have a customer who updated from App 10 UPD 09 to UPD 11. In update 11 IFS introduced new control type C14. Customer used C13 to segrate their internal and external COGS in posting control M24. But in new update C13 use stat group of ordering customer -  Client has scenarios where they change the invoicing customer on customer order to internal customers. Therefore, client cannot use C13 control type anymore, revenue will capture internal AR/Revenue accounts, but COGS will go to external account.  Problem - If there is no invoicing customer on Customer order, Control type C14 does not capture the correct stat group. As a result, it will error in distribution and manufacturing side.  Any workaround or bug fix?  Thanks,Sadeepa

Hi,There is a threads in the category “Framework & Experience” regarding handling documents on different versions of the new migration tool Smart Data Manager.Maybe someone within the DocMan community have an answer to the following, which is part of a question I posted in that thread? (Please see the other post to get the context of the question.)“Will any or both of the versions be able to handle BLOB/CLOB data? Or in other words, possible to handle file data in DocMan which is stored as BLOB data.”(The wording “both versions” refer to Smart Data Tool (an add-on for IFS Apps 10) and Smart Data Manager (IFS Cloud), and whether this is correct I leave to the authors in that thread to cater for:) )/Erik

Can anyone please give me some insight on how the PM Request Generation works internally? We have a PM plan loaded, that has been running quite happily for 6 months.  We release  tasks gradually, 4 weeks at a time.  We last released them up until August 15th, but now, trying to release up to Septemeber 12th yields no Requests/tasks.  Yes, there are tasks ready to be released for this time period, and all the tasks were originaly loaded at the same time and are attached to the same PM_Sequence. What would cause them to suddenly not release? I have turned the logging levels up, but nothing really showing in there, no exceptions are recieved.  I can see a query being run on ‘contr_autogen_view’ that retrieves nothing.  There is also a query in the Log looking for errors (SELECT MESSAGE_ID, LOCALE_CODE, MESSAGE_TYPE, MESSAGE_TEXT from METRIX_MESSAGE_DEF_VIEW where MESSAGE_ID = 'InvalidXMLRequest' and MESSAGE_TYPE = 'ERROR' and LOCALE_CODE = 'EN-GB') but this does not return anything when i

Hi experts,BackgroundI am trying to make an authenticated call to an external resource from FSM. The authentication used is OAuth2 and the the data consumed and returned is in json. I initially attempted this using a routing rule with OAuth2ExtractHandler and JsonOutboundConnector, which is not working as the token extraction fails (I raised this here) . Now I’m trying a different approach.I make a dummy map to create a call to the authentication endpoint to retrieve the token. Then I store the token as a custom app param.  I use the above custom param (which bears the token) to send authorized calls to resources. ProblemI created the dummy map and routing rule as following, This successfully gets the authentication token as following, I created a custom app param and I’m trying to save the above retrieved token as the param value below  I tried the following approaches,1. XML message in the process As you can see I’ve used jsonpath to extract the access_token from the response, but th

I found in the technical documentation a reference to the Scandit app license. What is not clear to me is how the integration is established. Will Scandit also work when the mobile user is not using the Mobile Work Order app but is just using the mobile Chrome browser to login to the IFS Cloud Technician Portal (i.e. no offline capabilities)? The reference document page can be found here:https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/21r1/foundation1/045_administration_aurena/415_aurena_native_apps/020_configuration/030_application_parameters/default.htmI saw on the Scandit website that there is an SDK that allows it to be called from Javascript and then not requiring any app. You can see a test here: https://websdk-label-demo.scandit.com/

Dear IFS experts,I created a copy of an existing report in our IFS server, please see screenshot below. The original report is called “5 Inv Plan Consolidated” and the copied report was renamed “5 Inv Plan Consolidated FRANCE”. I made simple modifications to the copied report  “5 Inv Plan Consolidated FRANCE”.Then I setup the report in the Report Definitions window Then when I tried to print/preview with this new layout I get the well know error (please see screenshot below)  However if I used the same options (Language/date format) and change the layout to the original layout “5 Inv Plan Consolidated” I CAN print/preview without any troubles. Obviously this is not related to our setup of CWS because the issue is layout specific. However I have created a copy of an existing layout that works and I have only modified some text in the layout. I am really confused about this. I have to confess I am not a Crystal Report expert, but again I have only copied a file that is working so it shou

HI all,We are currently trying to get the FSM6u8 Android app running in the Android emulator.  We have all the neccessary certificates installed on the virtual device, but it just wont connect. When we type the URL into the device browser, it goes to the landing page, but says certificate is missing.  If you click cancel on that message, you still see the page and can download the app.  Each time you go to the URL in the browser after that, you get no certificate message.  Only when you first try it. We are completely stumped with this and would appreciate any help.I have run the app fro the studio and monitored  the logcat and we get the errors below. Thanks in advance. 2021-03-11 15:50:43.933 6940-7085/com.metrix.metrixmobile E/com.metrix.metrixmobile: ProbReadingRemoteResFor1Args: javax.net.ssl.SSLPeerUnverifiedException: CannotVerifyHostname1Args        at com.metrix.architecture.services.MetrixRemoteExecutor.execute(MetrixRemoteExecutor.java:332)        at com.metrix.architecture.

There used to be a URL you could go to that tracked what OS versions were supported.  https://wit.ifsworld.com/Technology/prodcert/ProductCertification/SupportedPlatforms/10.htm It was very useful but it doesn’t appear that it is being updated anymore.  Is there another place we can go to get this information?

Hi experts,In this FSM6U10, Integration Scheduling Wizard, “Start Time” has a 1 hour difference from “Next Run”. Consider the following two scenarios,The server is in ET time zoneFor a Smart Client in ET:Last run and next run are at 5:30 AM  Trigger field is set for 9:30 UTC Scheduling wizard shows 4:30 AM - 1 hour differenceSmart Client in ETThe server is in ET time zoneFor a Smart Client in CT:Last run and next run are at 4:30 AM  Trigger field is set for 9:30 UTC Scheduling wizard shows 3:30 AM - 1 hour difference My question is, why is this showing a 1 hour time difference ? Since “Last Run” and “Next Run” is showed in Client time zone, shouldn’t the “Start time” in the Integration Scheduling wizard show the same time ? Is this a bug or is there an explanation to this ? P.S. I referred the post Monitor schedules / Integration schedules time fields | IFS Community but this doesn’t explain this time difference. Thanks in Advance !!!!
