Upgrade from IFS 9 to IFS 10 - IFS Time Tracker compatibility

Hello community: We are currently on IFS Apps 9.We recently installed TAS 1.15.1.672 and rolled out IFS Time Tracker 9 2.1.9 iOS app for our field technicians.Currently we are getting ready for IFS 10 upgrade. It looks like there is a Time Tracker 10 iOS version for IFS 10.Once we complete the transition, would the Time Tracker 10 iOS work without any issue with IFS 10? Do we have to get a new TAS or can we continue to use the existing TAS?

Database sessions ORA-00026 missing or invalid session id

In Database Sessions we have a long running session related to Business Reporter scheduled report that we wish to kill.The session id in Database Sessions is 642: However, on RMB > Kill Session we receive the following error: I cannot see the session in Monitor Sessions in SQL Developer but can see the session when doing select from v$session : select * from v$session where sid = '642' ;Using the SID and SERIAL# I tried to kill the session:ALTER SYSTEM KILL SESSION '642,12109'I receive the following error:Error report -ORA-00026: missing or invalid session ID00026. 00000 - "missing or invalid session ID"*Cause: Missing or invalid session ID string for the current operation.*Action: Retry with a valid session ID.Obviously, can see the session in FND_SESSION_RUNTIME How can I kill this session when it isn’t reported in Monitor Sessions and any attempt to kill the session report in the missing or invalid session id?

Report PDF Inserts

HiCan some one guide us how to use the IFS PDF Inserts in a Order Report. We need to print few PDF documents mandatory with Purchase Order. The document TEXT Phrases, is a bit of challenge to align the content as per the expectations. Where are and how can we call a PDF insert in the report? Is this a configuration in the report designer tool, Or is it to be configured or updated in the solution manager /report definitions. RegardsVivek

Change IFS app server URL

How do we change the urls that the Apps 10 Weblogic server respond on? For instance, if we use the FQDN get HTTPs responses but if we use just the hostname, we get a 403 Forbidden. We do have DNS resolution to the host working properly and the installed SAN cert does validate the FQDN and hostname just fine, the issue is with the webserver configuration.

Apps 10 UPD9 Service Quotation Error

Hello,Has anyone come across this error when trying to Accept a Service Quotation that has a No Part Sales. The error occurs on RMB > Status > Accept Cannot update Ownership when Quantity Assigned has a value The error goes away and the service quotation can be accepted if No Part item is removed. PDF ACROBAT crashing

When authorising in instant authorisation invoices PDF acrobat crashes frequently in Cloud aplication 10 ( every 3rd to 5th invoice) and need to be restarted. PDF viewer is Adobe reader latest update. Anyone experienced the same problem ? ANy remedy suggested ? Martin Haertl

Change layout in instant authorization view

Hi, APP 10 UPD 7Does anyone know if it´s possible to change the descriptions for the buttons in the view Instant Authorization. when hoovering over the button a message explaining the button shows. We wonder if it´s possible to change this message? The question specifically applies to the alternatives Waiting and Wrong Authorizer.Also the RMB alternative in authorize summary shows the corresponding text as the message above, is it possible to change this too without adding new alternatives?Thankful for any information about this area.

Access right Employee Schedule

Hello, I am having a issue that I have not experienced before and was hoping somebody else has solved this.Customer is on Apps10 update 9 When we attempted to alter an employees schedule (either with the wizard or manually) we keep getting the below access issue The only way we can alter the schedule is if we give the (employee that is making the change) HR manager permission(HR application manager). However this is not realistic as this needs to be updated my managers that do not need this permission set. Does anybody know what access attribute covers the working schedules? I can then build it in a access role. Thanks

Pdf with line spacing dependent of language

When I preview a purchase order selecting en or de as language I get different overall line spacing on the pfd generated.When selecting en (english) as language the line spaceing is larger then when I select de (german).I use the same layout only selecting different language.I have no report rule that is formatting the layout.What else could format the pdf differently depending on language?

Can you print labels for non-inventory parts?

Our operations team does not want to inventory their parts but want to be able to generate labels from IFS. I believe this is only possible if the parts are inventoried (bar code labels) but I wanted to double check before I said anything. Thank you.

Arranging Client Names Alphabetically

Good Morning all - I have a Custom Object list of Sub Contractors which we use within the Work Order to highlight various Sub Contractors attending against the chosen Work Order. Can anyone advise how i can arrange these contractors to appear in the drop down menu alphabetically? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hi, I initially posted this message on this topic, but it might be more appropriate to attempt to solve on a different discussion, since it is another type of error I am encountering. I am installing IFS 10 UPD10 as a demo environment on a Windows virtual machine hosted on Azure.Current setup:Oracle DBv12 IFS 10 UPD10 Self-certificate auto generated by the race packageI have done the process many times and often arrives to the following error… during one day I could launch IFS Aurena and IEE. Once, I shut down the VM, and starting from this point I can not access them anymore and have no idea what it could be. Correct Component Order on Purchase Order

We are running Apps10 UPD8. I’m looking for a way to correct a user error on a Purchase Order. We issues a purchase order to a supplier (qty 1500) that included 7 components shipped on a customer order (using components for Purchase Order). They made a mistake and did an RMA for qty 13 on 1 component. The supplier actually received 1500 and built 1500 for us.Now we are trying to receive the PO. IFS will only let us receive 1487 because it thinks the vendor only has enough components to build 1487.We are trying to figure out how to correct this. Any ideas?

What is the recommended program to use for .Tif files in IFS?

The problem sent by customer: “ When I open an image from IFS in Windows photo viewer and want to save it as a PDF but with that you can only see the edges of each page in the file (middle does not show).We have a colleague who uses Microsoft document image viewer (2010) where everything opens as normal, however, this is an outdated program and is no longer available for download.Changing the default .Tif viewer to Windows 10 “Photos” app also does not work as only the first page in the .Tif files is shown, even though the file contains several pages. Which program is recommended for use in opening .Tif files in IFS? “

State is not valid

How can it possible? Why the state is null? Because of that, I could not change to released to planned. Have you ever seen that error? And how can I solve it? I don't think changing the table manually is not a good idea.
