Hi all,Can I know what governs the work status of a resource in the FSM Schedule Board. I have observed this work status can be either ‘Off Shift’ or ‘On Shift’. But as shown in the screenshot below, it shows ‘Off Shift’ even though the resource has a shift at the current time.  I am curious whether this is a product bug or if this ‘Work Status’ means something else.Thanks in advance,Dulshan.

As most of you are probably experiencing, we are having severe issues with raw material availability. The way that we manage that in IFS is by creating additional recipe structure alternates.This causes us two problems.MRP does it’s calculations based upon the alternate marked * New shop orders are created using the alternate marked *Ideally, we would like to designate which alternate is the default, and MRP would use that for calculations and any new shop order would use that alternate for its recipe.For example, using the picture below, I want to go in and set Alternate 12 as the default. From then on all calculations (and shop orders) are based on Alternate 12 until I change it to a new default (maybe 15, maybe *).Is there a solution to do this?I don’t believe that we want to overwrite or change the * alternate, because that is our true recipe that we want to go back to.Any suggestions is greatly appreciated. Our supply chain team really could use a win on this. Thanks,Mike   

Is it possible to update the status of open service orders via Excel import? Our dispatchers would like to do this on a regular basis. And doing it manually is too time consuming

I have moved a database from live environment (12.5) to UAT (v15). Dispatch Console is not working. In v12.5 I set the DSE server address under Dispatch Console Session - but where is it in v15?

I am looking to see if anyone has any advice on the syntax required by a custom task schedule in Apps 8 that I am trying to implement to run a specific task on the last day of the month.  Using Oracle 11.2.0.3.0 database and cant find any specific advice as to whether the syntax is different.  This string works on later versions.   

Hi, Customer is going to use IFS HUB as their main central repository for document, and would like to know any IFS bench marking details such as: 1.      Is there any known limitation of maximum size of document which supposed to  replicate.?2.      Any known  consideration about memory allocation to IntServers in HUB and SATs with regards to size of the document to be replicate. Can we have an official answer from RnD or from any other consultant familiar in this area ?I referred “User Guide - Replication (Data Synchronization)” and Technical Documentation as well, but could not find above information. Thank you. Best Regards,Thilini

Hi All, Customer has Upgraded to UPD12 recently and they have faced to permission issue when assigning resources to the work task demands(screenshot is attached below). After our investigations found that user didn’t have permissions to MAINT_RESOURCES_LOV6. That is separately added from UPD12. However we like know as to why it has an additional LOV added with permission sets?  Best Regards,Nipun

Hi team,One of the customer’s inquired that when they are entering posting information in enterprise version, defined code parts for an Account under code string completion come up automatically when they enter an account in the line. But that automatic functionality does not work in their Aurena. However they had mentioned that they got an internal information stating that it’s not working in their version. When I checked in Aurena 10 UPD 10, UPD 11 and in UPD 12, it’s working fine. As they are in Aurena 10 UPD 10 I’m bit confused with the answer they had received internally. As I’m a fresher, I just wanted to know could there be any other Aurena 10 UPD 10 versions with customizations beside standard Aurena 10 UPD 10 where the automatic code String Completion functionality does not work?

Is there an ‘official’ way to hide the link to aurena on the main IFS Apps 10 launch page?

Hi,I have a question regarding the way the Oracle job queue processes are used by IFS.I have noticed in other posts the number of job_queue_processes should be initialized at number of IFS batch queues + 5 and that is what has been set up for my customer.But what we have noticed is that even if several jobs are posted in different IFS batch queues they are not all executed in parallel.For example we have 17 queues in IFS and have set up the job_queue_processes to 22 in the oracle database.We had at least 6 queues with several lines in state Posted.But when checking at the execution of the queues we never had more than 3 jobs running at the same time. I know some jobs can be executed very fast but when checking at the latest executed job on some of the queues it could happen that none of the jobs has been executed for about 1 hour.I assume that this is due to the ressources the current executed jobs are consuming and that the database has to be sized correctly but I would like to know h

Hi, We have an issue that the HttpServer1.log files grow rather quickly and doesn’t rotate/stop until they consume the whole disk. Where can we set the max size for HttpServer1 logs?   Their path is: <IFS_HOME>\wls_domain\<instance>\servers\HttpServer1\logs\HttpServer1-yyyymmddHHMMss.log

Hi, Looking for some advice.A few months ago we implemented workflows for raising Complaints / Rectifications.I got some assistance on it below. As much as this has been a success in that it’s a quicker process for the call handlers, we’re seeing issues allocating the correct reasons to the CSR. In the FSM screen we’re using Global Code Hierarchy so if I choose ‘Warranty Rectification’ I get the code related to that Category listed.  Unfortunately I have yet been able to replicate this in the workflow. So regardless of what Category of feedback I select, I am getting all the options available on the next stage. Is it possible to inherit Global Code Hierarchy into the Workflows? I have been able to simply add in a combobox and link to a global code table without issue. But I am wanting to go to the next stage and only show the user the options based on the first value selected. For example in this screen shot from the workflow, I wouldn’t expect to see anything in ‘Delay In Service’ be

I need to set up a new profile in our UAT, but when I try to save the profile I get an error message: failed to save global xml, consult event log for details.Event log says: 

We use our UAT to test customizations and upgrades. For practical reaosns I have now attached (an upgraded version) of a live database to an existing UTA profile, but Product Centre will not open as there is an old customization causing havoc (the customization contains 2 new data fields in bpart that is not in the currently attached database). And I am not able to open Customizer on Product Center (Customize Screen is greyed out). Help?

Hi Is there a way of PSO stop grabbing tasks after they are Committed on the mobile? I’ve had situations with Sedgwick when a job which was scheduled for the following day then gets changed to Do Not Schedule I think I need to change the Task_Status data ( see attachment ) but I’m not sure what all the schedule options represents like Ignore, Commited etc. Also where is this normally found in FSM thanks in advance 

For an MRB-In process with a Disposition Code which has the ‘Scrapping Verification’ checkbox ticked case in a shop order, When we report scrap on the operation for the whole shop order lot size,the operation status remains at partially reported. Afterwards, the shop order(with auto close code) does not automatically close even when the operations are completely reported and parts are completely received. Is there a specific reason for this?

Hello, We are using IFS 10 in my company and had generate the limit of the vacation leave for all employee. 22 days is the limit balance but for few employee is generated less due to something called (Negative Carry-over)
