Hello Community,

We are using IFS 8.

Currently we are using the serialized tracking for the parts. I want to convert some of the serial parts to the Lot batch tracking parts.

we have to make the Lot tracking process for one site for now.

But the issue is If we change the tracking from Serial tracking to Lot tracked parts in master part for all the site that part will become Lot track enabled and while receiving the Purchase order on the other site user they have to provide the Lot batch no mandatorily as asterisk (*) will not allow them to receive.

So can we change this asterisk(*) to N/A so that while receiving the PO user for other site user they do not need to type Lot batch no as N/A each time.

Your inputs will be helpful.

HI;

In the Standard you need to enter the Lot batch as the part is Lot batch Tracked in the Part Catalog.

This Lot batch Tracking information in the part Catalog is not Site Specific and common for all the Sites.

If the part is changed to Order Based Tracked instead of Lot batch Tracked, then the Lot batch Number is auto filled with the Order information, in your case Purchase Order Line information.

So there is no need to enter the Lot batch Number manually.
