Hello all,

Is it possible in IFS (10) to have the Lot Size of a shop order increase in the event that the reported qty from Shop Floor Workbench exceeds the original Lot Size amount? Often times we over run a coil fed job, which will result in the original Lot Size not matching the actual reported qty (Lot Size - 1000, actual completed qty 1230). Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

What do you want to achieve with increasing the lot size? Why not just receiving 1230 instead of 1000?

@Björn Hultgren We currently have our work centers set to automatically receive on the last operation step. Would manually receiving the Shop Order increase the Lot Size to match the completed qtys on the operation steps?

If you have the Adjust for Op Deviation Qty enabled and report a quantity higher than lot size on an operation, this will automatically increase the quantity on succeeding operations, and the quantity that is expected to be received from the shop order without increasing the lot size.

@Björn Hultgren Thank you for the explanation. We currently do not have this enabled for our Inventory Parts. Is this functionality typically turned on? I would think that if you frequently over run production, you would want to enable this so the operation qty is accurate on succeeding operations?

Yes you can setup the default value per Inventory Part

@Björn Hultgren Thank you for the clarification.
