Hi, App10: is there any way to reprint the previous revision of the sales quotation? Sometimes need to go back to the previous rev, and saving the pdfs outside IFS every time/rev does not make any sense.. not efficient. Yes, the rev handling makes perfect sense that it prints only the current rev to prevent you from sending the incorrect (=not the latest) to the customer, but it would be handy to be able to retrieve the old rev as well. How far back can you get the pdfs from the Report Archive? Cheers, /P

Hi there, do you possibly know where in the IFS app can I change the bank account which will be printed in the invoice for the customer? I know I can define different cash accounts for the customer, but where do I choose the one I would like to use in the invoice (if different than the default for certain customer)?

Some customers have their customer sites split out as separate customers to allow for different rep assignments and visibility at the site level of a Customer 360 view. They are running into an issue where the Customer Contact’s Manager is located at a different site (therefore a different customer in IFS). Is there a way around this?The only workaround I found was to add the manager to the site where his/her employee was located.

Looking to get some insight into how people have setup IFS for selling through Fulfilled by Amazon. We retain ownership of the inventory whilst it is in the Amazon warehouse, until the point it is sold to the end customer.We intended to do this using Customer Consignment. So the proposed flow would be Process a Customer Order on IFS using Customer Consignment to stock the Amazon warehouse. Sales are processed on Amazon - Self Billing Invoice Received from Amazon - Customer Consignment stock is consumed and invoiced Replenishment order raised as per step 1 ...cycle continuesHowever, we have Package Parts that we intend to sell through Amazon and this has posed a challenge to the above. In version 9 at least Package Parts and Consignment do not appear to be compatible. What we were hoping was that we could ship a package, but the inventory parts that are components of the package would be transferred to consignment stock.W

Hi, We have a case where we have document text added to select customers on the Order tab, who can be identified by their Form of Businesses - to print out on Invoices and Credit notes. This works very well.  Now I have been told that it is not appropriate for the text to appear on orders from one site. Any ideas how to manage this. I have suggested adding “where applicable” to the text - but that is not liked.Thanks, Matthew

Hello,i have a question about CRM - Convert Lead.We converted a Lead into a customer and found that -  if the Delivery Terms and the Ship-via are not filled out, it will not take over the Region and District from Lead to Customer.Only if Del. Terms and Ship-Via Code have a value, the other two fields will be transferred to the customer. It does not matter whether I work with or without a customer template.Is that the Intention?Thanks in AdvacedSusanne

We are starting to use service contracts (IFS 8) and some of our customers pay for one year in advance. Is there a way to have the service contract set up to show monthly the consumption of the prepaid dollars and then start charging when the year is used up?

We have a custom field ‘Salesman’ in IEE that we would like to use as a search field on the Business Opportunity.  I have tried to add this using the page designer but I am not having any luck on how to add it to this list to be chosen as a Search field.  Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.  

We are currently using a 3rd party haulier to deliver goods produced at our sites. When doing this we have an event based solution that fires when a new shipment is created with a particular ship via. The event registers key shipment information in a custom table. That table is then captured and sent to an FTP folder via IFS connect/application messages.It can be a little unreliable, due to the fact that users are able to update shipments and events aren’t always firing. Coupled with the occasional application message fail, and table lock it’s not a reliable solution.I am tempted to reconfigure the events to fire from the shipment table only, but am finding that as the changes are registered on the customer order, the shipment is only a reference so doesn’t recognise any changes! Am wondering best way to approach this. Hi, Is it possible to connect certain column orders to saved searched in one view screen. For example if we wanted to use the detailed statistics - invoiced sales screen starting with Order Number in one saved search and Invoice Number in another saved search is there a way of doing that?TIA

HiHas anyone encountered the issue with sending Customer Order EDI Invoices too soon? In a small number of cases, the Customer will reject the invoice because the goods are still ‘in transit’. We are not using Delivery Confirmation in these cases.So we want to delay the sending of the invoice by say 5 days.  We cannot use the ‘Invoice Date Offset’ setting that will delay Print/Send because we want to account for the revenue with a real invoice. We also have considered ‘Interim Posting of Outstanding Sales’ but this only accrues for the revenue - we want the invoice on the Sales Ledger. In summary, we want the Invoice in the ‘PostedAuth’ status but the Sending Delayed. Perhaps there is a way in connectivity or something? 

We have an issue where we have printed a lot of Customer invoices that should have been emailed ( The PDF created event was not enabled)is there a way I can do this en masse? I have around 800 that need to go :( 

Does anyone currently use a 3PL with a third party website where the inventory is transferred to an outside warehouse but the inventory transaction is not done until the customer places an order from the website?We are trying to determine how to process the orders and recognize payment if the order details reside with a 3rd party and the reservation and orders are processed outside IFS but need to be recognized inside IFS.

We would like to automatically add a Shipping & Handling charge to all Sales Orders of a certain Order Type with the users having to enter additional information. What is the best way to enable this?

Hi All Users,I would like to share below information with regard to the Job ‘Cleanup of Customer Orders’.Cleanup is a very dangerous way of getting rid of old data and not a recommended approach either. Archiving is much safer but then customers need to take care of the archiving themselves which is something they do not want invest time in. Unfortunately customers use clean up extensively and we do add on more obvious deletion of dependencies as and when reported by customers. However, we have never guaranteed that all links to the deleted object would be removed. Inventory Transactions are not considered in the clean-up. as there could be postings created and already transferred to General Ledger. It may even be wrong to remove these transactions from an auditing perspective. So ultimately you will end up having inventory transactions for order headers which do not exist. IFSAPPS 9.We have been using a Business Analytics model to run our sales forecast. This was using Business Opportunities as the Information Source.One of the filter criteria was DIM_OPP_PROBABILITY.CODE BETWEEN 50 and 100. This basically captured any high probability Business Opportunities. After we installed UP17 our Business Analytics model stopped working. I believe the issue was that prior to UP17, the field on the Information source was the value in the PROBABILITY_DB field and it has now changed to be just the PROBABILITY field. The issue is that the PROBABILITY field is suffixed by a % sign, so when we use this field in the filter I receive an ‘Invalid Number’ error message. However I have not been able to use SQL in the Filter Criteria to either TRIM or REPLACE the % value out.Is there a way to point the Information Source back to the PROBABILITY_DB

Hi All, In Document Text Administration we have 2 Output Types defined that put information onto the invoice (doc 4). If I add document text against both of these Output Types on a Sales Part this document text prints out on our invoice directly below the part line.However if I add it to an Inventory Part I get no text printing out and if I add it to a shipment header I also get no text printing out.Can anyone advise if there is something else that needs to be configured to get the text to print, especially for the shipment. We are needing it here to give a full shipment weight and pallet details on each invoice for export reasons and it changes every delivery hence adding it to shipment header. Thanks Sarah

We need to create a Custom Field for the EORI number and would like to know how to handle the fact that we require the following format: First 2 characters (Alpha)Next 12 characters (numeric) Would I have to create the field as a text field and then run a custom event to check that the contents meet the format?Can anyone please advise a better way?Thank you.

Hi, so I am trying to configure a “fruit table” which gives indication, what kind of fruits a customer processes. I managed to create a custom logical unit and create a “list” element out of it. The list contains out of two custom fields, one sort of  fruit and the other one of the customer id (which acts as the primary key). Also, I could install a master entity relationship to the customer crm projection, so that only the fruit are displayed, which have the matching customer id. However, when a new entry is done, the key must be primarily entered. Does Aurena support a function, that it automatically fetches the key mappings as IEE did it? I have not found this information in the technical documentation.  Thanks in advance for any hints, maybe somebody can point out what I am missing.
